Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Vikings WR Justin Jefferson came into the facilities on Monday "feeling pretty good," HC Kevin O'Connell said. Jefferson was knocked out of the Week 2 win over the 49ers with a quad contusion. O'Connell labeled him "day-to-day" and sounded optimistic about his chances of playing vs. the Texans this weekend, according to The Minnesota Star Tribune's Ben Goessling. We'll keep a close eye on Jefferson's status throughout this week, but he can stay penciled into Week 3 fantasy lineups for now.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that the Panthers are benching QB Bryce Young in favor of Andy Dalton "beginning this week." Young threw for just 245 yards, 0 TDs, and 3 INTs over the season's first two games. Carolina visits the Raiders on Sunday.

Titans RB Tyjae Spears is considered "day-to-day" with the ankle injury suffered in Week 2, HC Brian Callahan said Monday. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport called Spears' injury "nothing major." It's good news, although Spears' availability for this weekend's game vs. the Packers remains uncertain. We'll keep you updated on his status throughout the week. Spears' absence would turn RB Tony Pollard into an every-down back.

Colts DT DeForest Buckner played just 10 snaps in Sunday's loss to the Packers before leaving with a sprained right ankle. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the injury is "expected to make him a long-shot for next week." Indianapolis hosts the Bears on Sunday.

The Dolphins are signing QB Tyler Huntley off the Ravens' practice squad, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. Huntley made nine starts for the Ravens over the last three seasons. He sports a 64.6% career completion rate but just 5.7 yards per attempt and a 2.3% TD rate. He's a plus athlete, though, with 509 rushing yards and three TDs on 4.4 yards per attempt.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco fractured his right fibula in Sunday's win over the Bengals, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports. It's not yet clear how long Pacheco is expected to miss. He's reportedly headed for further testing on Monday to determine whether there's any surrounding damage and his return timeline.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes underwhelmed in a Week 2 win over the Bengals. Mahomes mustered only 151 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTs, marking his lowest yardage output since Week 7 of 2019.

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown suffered a knee injury that he played through yesterday. It was determined to only be a minor contusion and cramping, so it is unlikely that he will miss additional time, great news for the Lions and fantasy managers.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow entered Sunday’s game without WR Tee Higgins (hamstring). But despite a tough matchup at Kansas City, the 27-year-old managed 258 yards, 2 TDs, and 0 INTs.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce managed only 1 catch for 5 yards in a Week 2 win over Cincinnati. This marked his first game with fewer than two catches since Week 1 of 2018.

Niners TE George Kittle tallied 7 receptions for 76 yards and a TD in Sunday's loss to the Vikings. He finished second on the team in catches, yards, and targets (8) while benefiting from increased passing volume in a game San Francisco trailed most of the way.

Vikings QB Sam Darnold threw for 268 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's victory over the 49ers. Darnold added 32 rushing yards and sits third among Week 2 fantasy QBs heading into the Monday night game. The biggest strike came on a 97-yard TD to WR Justin Jefferson that found Darnold hitting his WR in stride about 50 yards down the field.

Niners QB Brock Purdy threw for 319 yards and a TD in Sunday's loss to the Vikings. But he also tossed an INT and took 6 sacks.

Bears WR D.J. Moore had a final stat line of six catches on 10 targets for 53 yards against the Texans. He was the preferred target of rookie QB Caleb WIlliams, but it wasn’t enough to give Moore a solid fantasy day due to the lack of consistent accuracy from his QB.

Bears QB Caleb Williams did better than Week 1, but he still struggled completing 23 of his 37 passes for 174 yards and two interceptions. He also ran five times for 44 yards, leading the team in rushing. The Texans blitzed Williams, forcing him into short passes and mistakes throughout the game. Though Keenan Allen was inactive, it has been a rough start for the top pick in the NFL Draft.

Texans QB C.J. Stroud did just enough to beat the Bears completing 23 of his 36 passes for 260 yards and a TD. He locked in on WR Nico Collins throughout the game, who had over 100 yards and a touchdown. The Bears defense got pressure, but Stroud kept his cool and led nearly the entire game.

Texans WR Stefon Diggs was utilized early by the Texans and ended with a stat line of four catches on six targets for 37 yards. Though he took a backseat to WR Nico Collins, Diggs was second on the team in targets and catches.

Texans WR Nico Collins flashed his dominance with a stat line of eight catches on 10 targets for 135 yards and a TD. Collins remains QB C.J. Stroud’s favorite target, especially when he can draw one-on-one coverage, as seen on nearly every Bears blitz. Fear of Collins stats taking a hit with WR Stefon Diggs joining the team has been unfounded so far.

Niners WR Brandon Aiyuk caught just four balls for 43 yards in Sunday's loss to the Vikings. His 5 targets tied for third on the team, trailing WR Deebo Samuel and TE George Kittle. But Aiyuk saw increased playing time in his second game back from the hold-in.

Niners RB Jordan Mason carried 20 times for 100 yards and a TD in Sunday's loss at Minnesota. He drew nearly 100% of the RB rushing snare, with rookie RB Isaac Guerendo garnering just one attempt. WR Deebo Samuel took two other carries but lost 10 yards on his work. Mason added one catch for 4 yards on his lone target.
