The Dolphins are signing QB Tyler Huntley off the Ravens' practice squad, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. Huntley made nine starts for the Ravens over the last three seasons. He sports a 64.6% career completion rate but just 5.7 yards per attempt and a 2.3% TD rate. He's a plus athlete, though, with 509 rushing yards and three TDs on 4.4 yards per attempt.
QB Skylar Thompson will start this weekend's game vs. the Seahawks, but it wouldn't be surprising to see Huntley eventually take over if QB Tua Tagovailoa misses extended time with his latest concussion.
Huntley might not be a tangibly better passer than Thompson, but his rushing ability would make him a more exciting fantasy option. He might be worth a stash in 2-QB and superflex leagues with deep benches.
Huntley won't save WRs Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Both guys take big fantasy hits until Tagovailoa is cleared to return.
