Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Bills RB Ray Davis sustained a concussion in Sunday's Wild Card win over the Broncos. That leaves him iffy for next weekend's Divisional Round game vs. the Ravens. We'll track Davis' progress through the protocol throughout the coming week. Davis has been operating as Buffalo's No. 3 RB behind James Cook and Ty Johnson, so his absence wouldn't make much of a fantasy impact.

Buccaneers TE Cade Otton (knee) is active for tonight's game vs. the Commanders. It'll be his first action since Week 15. Otton should step back in as Tampa Bay's primary pass-catching TE but isn't a very exciting fantasy play. He averaged just 4.3 targets, 2.5 catches, and 36 yards across his last four games with WR Mike Evans back. TE Devin Culp is a healthy scratch tonight.

Broncos RB Audric Estime is a healthy scratch for today's game vs. the Bills. RB Tyler Badie is active for the first time since Week 4. He joins Jaleel McLaughlin and Javonte Williams in the backfield. McLaughlin remains the top fantasy play, although Estime's absence probably gives the biggest boost to Williams.

The Patriots on Sunday morning announced the least surprising news of this coaching cycle by naming Mike Vrabel as new head coach.

Vikings RB Cam Akers is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Rams after missing Saturday's practice with an illness. Players rarely miss games with illnesses, but Akers' status will be worth watching. His absence would leave Ty Chandler as Minnesota's lead back -- and likely mean more volume for RB Aaron Jones.

Chargers WR Quentin Johnston (thigh, illness) is active for today’s game vs. the Texans. We’re expecting him to play his usual role. Coming off a career-best 13-186-0 line, Johnston is certainly in play in Wild Card DFS contests.

Chargers RB J.K. Dobbins (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Texans. He was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable, so it’s safe to assume he won’t be at 100%. RB Gus Edwards is also back from his knee injury for this one and figures to mix in behind Dobbins. RB Kimani Vidal is a healthy scratch, leaving Hassan Haskins as the No. 3 RB.

Packers QB Jordan Love (elbow) will have "no restrictions" in Sunday's Wild Card game vs. the Eagles, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Love put in full practices on Thursday and Friday and was left off the final injury report. We're not docking Love's projections for the elbow. But he still sits low in the Wild Card QB rankings in the matchup against Philadelphia's third-ranked QB defense.

Packers QB Jordan Love (elbow) is not listed on the final injury report for Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. He practiced all week, including full workouts on Thursday and Friday. Love admitted Wednesday that he was still dealing with some soreness in his throwing elbow, but it looks like he progressed over the last two days. We'll look for further reports on that elbow. But, for now, it doesn't seem like it will be a significant factor on Sunday.

Buccaneers TE Cade Otton (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday night's Wild Card game vs. the Commanders. He practiced all week, including full workouts on Thursday and Friday, so he's seemingly on track to play. Otton had a few big games in the middle of the season with WRs Mike Evans and Chris Godwin out, but he averaged just 4.3 targets, 2.5 catches, and 36 yards across his last four games with Evans back.

Chargers WR Quentin Johnston (thigh, illness) is "good to go" for Saturday's Wild Card game vs. the Texans, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Johnston is listed as questionable after only getting in limited practices on Tuesday and Thursday this week, but we're projecting him to play his normal role tomorrow. Johnston closed the season with a career-best 13-catch, 186-yard outing.

Eagles WR A.J. Brown told reporters Friday that he's ready to play Sunday against the Packers, despite the knee issue that has limited his practice time this week.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts has cleared concussion protocol, HC Nick Sirianni announced on Friday. Hurts will start Sunday's Wild Card game vs. the Packers and should be a full-go. Green Bay ranks fourth in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs and limited Hurts to 19.4 fantasy points back in Week 1. Hurts checks in just fourth in our Wild Card Round QB Rankings.

Browns QB Deshaun Watson had a second tear of his Achilles and underwent surgery yesterday. With only eight months until the start of the 2025 season, Watson's availability for 2025 is now in jeopardy.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (concussion, finger) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. He's on track to be cleared for this weekend's Wild Card game vs. the Packers. We'll see how Hurts is listed on the final injury report tomorrow.

Packers QB Jordan Love (elbow) was upgraded to full participation in Thursday's practice. It's good news after he was limited on Wednesday and non-committal on his status for Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. Barring a setback, Love should be under center for that one.

Ravens RB Justice Hill (concussion, illness) is off the final injury report for Saturday's Wild Card Game vs. the Steelers. He should be back in his usual passing-down role behind RB Derrick Henry. Hill averaged 3.2 carries and 3.6 targets in his 14 full games this season.

Texans WR John Metchie (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Saturday's Wild Card Game vs. the Chargers. He put in a full practice on Thursday, so it'd be surprising if he didn't play. Metchie projects to run the second-most routes among Houston WRs this weekend, putting him in play as a cheap flier in DFS tournaments.

Chargers WR Quentin Johnston (thigh, illness) is listed as questionable for Saturday's Wild Card game vs. the Texans. He was limited on Tuesday with the thigh, sidelined on Wednesday with the illness, and then returned to a limited practice on Thursday. Johnston should be available this weekend, but check back around 3 pm ET on Saturday when we get the Chargers' inactives.

Chargers RB J.K. Dobbins (ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday's Wild Card game vs. the Texans. He got in three limited practices this week, so we're expecting him to play. RB Gus Edwards (knee) is off the final injury report after putting in a full practice on Thursday. He looks like the healthier of the two RBs heading into this one. Dobbins remains the better fantasy bet, but this figures to be a split backfield on Saturday.
