The Dolphins signed RB Alexander Mattison to a one-year deal. He swaps places with RB Raheem Mostert, who signed with the Raiders earlier this week. Mattison led Las Vegas with 132 carries, 420 yards, and four TDs last year.
Mattison was part of one of the worst rushing attacks in the league last year. His 3.2 yards per carry ranked dead last among 49 RBs with 90+ carries. Mattison also ranked near the bottom of that group in these key efficiency metrics:
Mattison will ideally slot in as Miami's No. 3 RB behind De'Von Achane and Jaylen Wright, although he could wind up as the No. 2 if Wright doesn't progress as hoped in his second season.
