Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Texans WR Noah Brown (knee) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Titans. Brown has been playing through this knee issue the past couple of weeks but has failed to catch any of his seven targets. It’s fair to assume that he’s nowhere near 100%. That, plus the fact that it’ll likely be QB Davis Mills under center this weekend, leaves Brown as a shaky fantasy play.

Texans WR Nico Collins (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Titans. He didn’t practice all week, and insider Aaron Wilson confirmed Friday that Collins is not expected to play. We’ll see if he can make it back for Week 16.

Texans QB C.J. Stroud (concussion) is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Titans. He didn’t practice all week. The Texans are holding out hope that Stroud is cleared by Sunday – but it’s extremely unlikely. QB Davis Mills will get the start against Tennessee. He’s a capable backup but a significant downgrade from Stroud.

Saints WR Rashid Shaheed (thigh) is not listed on the final Week 15 injury report. He was a full-go in Friday’s practice, so he shouldn’t be limited in this weekend’s game vs. the Giants. Shaheed is an upside WR4 option and will get a boost if WR Chris Olave misses with his ankle injury.

Saints TE Taysom Hill (foot, left hand) is not listed on the final Week 15 injury report. He’ll be back for Sunday’s game vs. the Giants after putting in a full practice on Friday. Hill remains a high-upside option in fantasy leagues where he’s TE-eligible.

Saints WR Chris Olave (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Giants. He didn’t practice all week but will be a game-time decision, HC Dennis Allen said Friday. We’ll get New Orleans’ inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. Olave will obviously come with elevated risk in fantasy lineups if he ends up playing.

Bears WR D.J. Moore (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Browns. He went from no practice on Wednesday to a limited practice on Thursday to full participation on Friday. We’re expecting Moore to play his usual role this weekend but will look for further updates on his status.

Giants TE Darren Waller (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Saints. He said Friday that he expects to play, but it’s tough to imagine Waller getting a full slate of snaps in his first action since Week 8. Waller would be a risky fantasy start.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Packers. He was a full participant in Friday’s practice, but HC Todd Bowles labeled him a game-time decision. We’ll get Tampa Bay’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. Godwin will carry elevated risk in fantasy lineups if he plays through the knee issue.

Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Week 15. He didn’t practice all week and is clearly a long shot play vs. the Bucs on Sunday. WR Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) is listed as questionable after getting in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. If he’s unable to play this weekend, Green Bay would be down to WRs Malik Heath and Samori Toure behind top two WRs Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs.

Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) is questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Bucs. He remained limited in practice all week but “did what he needed to do” on Friday, HC Matt LaFleur said. We’re tentatively expecting Jones to play this weekend, but he probably won’t get a full slate of snaps in his first action since Week 11. See where Jones lands in this week’s RB Rankings.

Packers RB A.J. Dillon (thumb) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Bucs. He only got in a limited practice on Friday with his broken thumb. "We're kinda working through it right now," HC Matt LaFleur said of Dillon's ability to play on Sunday. "We'll see where we're at... Had it padded pretty good." Dillon's already limited pass-catching ability would be further curtailed if he suits up this weekend. He's not a recommended Week 15 fantasy play.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Patriots. HC Andy Reid revealed Friday that Pacheco had cleanup surgery on his shoulder but has a chance to return for Week 16. We'll track his status next week. Pacheco's absence this weekend will again leave Kansas City's backfield to Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerick McKinnon. Those guys split snaps last week, with CEH handling 11 carries and four targets to McKinnon's four carries and three targets.

The Commanders have ruled RB Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) out for Sunday's game against the Rams. That should leave Antonio Gibson leading the backfield. Rookie Chris Rodriguez figures to work in to some degree as well. We have no full games without Robinson yet this season to know how much Rodriguez might get, though. Washington now sits 4-9, coming off the bye, and with a coach who looks likely to get fired at the end of the season. We don't know whether or how any of that will affect workload decisions this week. But there's potential for any of those components to factor in. We're projecting Gibson as the clear leader and a low-end RB2 in our Week 15 RB rankings. Just be careful about overrating him in your lineup decisions.

On Friday, multiple reports indicated that the Chargers have parted ways with HC Brandon Staley and GM Tom Telesco. This news doesn't come as much of a surprise following the team's 63-21 collapse vs. the Raiders on Thursday night. Across nearly three full seasons on the job, Staley finished with a 24-24 record and appeared in just one playoff game. Who will take over as the interim coach is not known as of the time of this writing. Stay tuned for further updates.

Update: The Chargers have named Giff Smith interim HC and JoJo Wooden as interim GM, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Smith has been the team's outside LBs coach the past two years and was an NFL defensive line coach for 11 seasons before that. It looks like OC Kellen Moore will remain with the Chargers at least for the rest of this season.

Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Jets. He didn't practice all week. "It's his career," HC Mike McDaniel said Friday. "When we talk, this is what will happen... If he's confident he can be himself and I have the support of the trainers, he will play. If it's not, he won't." We'll look for further updates on Hill and get Miami's inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. Hill would be tough to keep out of fantasy lineups if he ends up playing, but his floor and ceiling will obviously be depressed.

The Panthers are placing TE Hayden Hurst (concussion) on IR. Hurst was concussed back in Week 10 and dealt with post-traumatic amnesia. He did not suffer a setback, according to ESPN's David Newton. The team is just being cautious by holding him out for the rest of the season. Hurst caught five balls back in Week 1 but totaled only 13 more grabs over his final eight games in a pathetic Panthers passing game. Hurst is signed with Carolina at a $10 million cap hit in 2024. We'll see how the team handles that. Hurst won't be a target in 2024 redraft fantasy leagues and has minimal dynasty value.

Chargers QB Justin Herbert's rehab from surgery to his fractured right index finger is expected to take six weeks, according to Prime TV's Kaylee Hartung. HC Brandon Staley told Hartung that there are no long-term concerns for Herbert. The injury shouldn't impact his 2024 offseason. Herbert figures to be playing for a new coaching staff next season, and we'll see if WRs Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are back. Both guys are signed for 2024 but have massive cap hits.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith (groin) got in a limited practice on Thursday. He seemingly had a chance to play vs. the 49ers last weekend, so we're tentatively expecting him back for Monday night's game vs. the Eagles. We'll keep you updated on Smith's status over the next few days.

Rams WR Tutu Atwell (concussion) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That at least gives him a chance to be cleared in time for Sunday's game vs. the Commanders, although we'd still consider it unlikely. Check back tomorrow for another update on Atwell's progress.
