Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

A source tells Cardinals insider Kyle Odegard that QB Kyler Murray is "fully healthy" heading into the 2024 season. Murray returned for the final eight games of 2023 after his December 2022 ACL tear. He's now about 19 months removed from surgery on that knee.

Chiefs RB Deneric Prince took reps ahead of RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire in Tuesday's training camp session, according to Arrowhead's Pride Pete Sweeney. RB Isiah Pacheco was the No. 1 RB, as expected. RBs Keaontay Ingram and Louis Rees-Zammit worked as the fourth and fifth RBs.

Colts beat writer Nate Atkins believes “the upside is still extremely high" on TE Jelani Woods. The 25-year-old missed all of last season with a hamstring injury. Back healthy, Atkins points out Woods’ freakish athleticism and the opportunity awaiting him at TE.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, when asked about the team's QB competition, Patriots HC Jerod Mayo commented that Jacoby Brissett "is the starting QB at this point in time".

Per Jordan Schultz, the Miami Dolphins have signed DE Emmanuel Ogbah. The signing comes only a few days after DE Shaq Barrett abruptly retired. Ogbah had 24.5 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, and 1 INT in his previous four seasons with the Dolphins.

Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson will start training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. The veteran is returning from an MCL and ACL tear suffered in Week 16 (December 24).

Vikings LB Ivan Pace Jr. told Kay Adams on her show Monday that he'll wear the green dot on his helmet this season and call the plays in the defensive huddle. That's a significant revelation for the second-year player, who saw his playing time vary last year and then watched the team pay up for LB Blake Cashman in free agency.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow (wrist) has been fully cleared for the start of training camp, HC Zac Taylor said Monday. Burrow's 2023 season ended in November with an injury to his right, throwing wrist that required surgery. He resumed throwing early this year and participated in May's OTAs.

Packers QB Jordan Love will not hit the field in training camp without a new contract. Love inked a one-year extension through 2024 last offseason but is looking for a raise after a breakout 2023 campaign. GM Brian Gutekunst believes the two sides are close to an agreement.

The Texans on Sunday signed RB Cam Akers.

Texans OC Bobby Slowik gushed about RB Joe Mixon in Saturday's press conference. "He's a fun, fun person to coach," Slowik said with a big smile. "From Day one, showed up and absolutely worked his tail off. I mean you could see right away in Phase two, and in OTAs, like I understand now why he was as good as he was in Cincinnati. He puts in an immense amount of work. He loves football. He does not stop wanting to learn, wanting to grow. ... Workhorse. He’s an absolute workhorse, in every regard. Not just as a ball carrier. He embraces protections. He embraces the other things he can do outside of carrying the ball, as an eligible [receiver], as a decoy."

The Packers have placed WR Jayden Reed on the non-football injury list for the start of training camp. We've seen no report on the specific issue sidelining Reed.

Bills insider Vic Carucci believes TE Dalton Kincaid could emerge as the top option in the team's passing game this season. Carucci notes the progress that Kincaid made throughout his rookie season and writes that he's "expected to take a giant leap" in year two. "I think the offense will be designed to get the ball in his hands as much as possible," Carucci adds.

The Seahawks placed LB Jerome Baker on the active/physically unable to perform list to begin training camp. Baker is still working back from the Week 18 right wrist injury that required surgery. He didn't do much in spring workouts with his new team either.

Troy Renck of The Denver Post says he believes RBs Javonte Williams and Samaje Perine are competing for a roster spot this summer.

The Panthers have placed rookie RB Jonathon Brooks on the active/non-football injury list. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that it was an expected move, related to Brooks return from the November ACL tear that ended his final college season.

Jets WR Mike Williams (knee) has been placed on the active PUP list to open training camp. It's not a surprise as he works back from last September's torn ACL. Williams can be activated from the PUP list at any time and would be eligible to play Week 1. We're still expecting him to be out there for the season opener, although HC Robert Saleh suggested in June that Williams might play limited snaps early this season.

The Athletic’s Chad Graff believes there’s only a 35% chance of Pats QB Drake Maye starting Week 1. Graff notes that “most” of the rookie’s offseason reps came with the third-string offense – and none with the starters.

Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy took the field with teammates for the first practice of training camp Wednesday. That was in question after the first-round pick missed some spring workouts because of a hamstring injury.

Giants QB Daniel Jones (knee) is not expected to land on the PUP list to begin training camp, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Jones is working back from a right ACL tear suffered on November 5. He's on track to be ready for Week 1, barring a setback between now and then.
