Chase Brown Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Bengals RB Chase Brown delivered a pair of TDs on a season-high 28 touches in Sunday's win over the Titans. Brown posted a 25-97-1 rushing line, scoring from 5 yards out with 1:09 left in the game. He added a 6-yard TD receptions among 3 catches for 16 yards on 3 targets. No. 2 RB Khalil Herbert garnered just 1 carry and no targets.

Bengals RB Chase Brown continued to dominate backfield work in Sunday night's loss to the Chargers. He handled all 22 of the team's RB carries and all 7 backfield targets. Brown rushed for 86 yards (3.9 per carry) while ranking third on the team in targets, receptions (5), and receiving yards (57). Khalil Herbert played just 4 snaps and ran 3 routes (to Brown's 33).

Bengals RB Chase Brown racked up 22 touches in Thursday night's loss to the Ravens. He predictably struggled to get much going on the ground against a stout run defense, averaging just 3.2 yards across his 13 carries. But he popped in a one-yard TD in the first quarter and was busy in the passing game all night. Brown's 11 targets, nine catches, and 52 receiving yards all ranked second on the team to only WR Ja'Marr Chase. Brown lost a key fumble in the third quarter that helped get the Ravens back into the game. And he was pulled on most third and longs for pass protection reasons. But the Bengals continued to lean heavily on Brown in all other situations.

Bengals RB Khalil Herbert is expected to play vs. the Ravens tonight, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Herbert joined the team just two days ago, so we'd be surprised if he mixed in for more than a handful of carries against Baltimore. He's not a viable option in season-long leagues. Chase Brown should remain the Bengals' clear lead back -- and a strong fantasy start, despite the tough matchup.

The Bengals are trading a seventh-round pick to the Bears for RB Khalil Herbert. It's much-needed depth for a Cincinnati squad that just lost RB Zack Moss to a neck injury. He's out "indefinitely," according to HC Zac Taylor.

Update: Moss is expected to miss the rest of the regular season, according to NFL Network.

Bengals HC Zac Taylor told reporters Monday that RB Zack Moss will be out "indefinitely" with the neck injury that cost him Sunday's game, according to multiple reports. Taylor added that the team will consider "all the possible options" for replacing Moss in the backfield, according to Charlie Goldsmith of the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Bengals RB Chase Brown had 32 touches for 157 yards and a receiving TD in the Bengals win over the Raiders. With Zack Moss out with a neck injury, Brown showed he could carry a full workload and perform.

Bengals RB Zack Moss (neck) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Raiders. We still don’t have any details on the neck injury that sidelined him on Friday and had him listed as doubtful. Moss’ absence today figures to mean a healthy boost in touches for RB Chase Brown, who’s a borderline must-start. RBs Trayveon Williams and Kendall Milton are active behind Brown.

Bengals RB Zack Moss (neck) is listed as doubtful for this weekend's game vs. the Raiders. He was added to the injury report on Friday and did not practice. We'll look for more details on this injury and a timetable for Moss' return. But his absence on Sunday should mean a big role for RB Chase Brown in a great spot against Las Vegas' 29th-ranked RB defense. Trayveon Williams will be Cincinnati's No. 2 RB.

Bengals RB Chase Brown ran for 32 yards and a TD to lead Cincinnati's backfield in Sunday's loss to the Eagles. He averaged just 2.7 yards per carry across his 12 attempts. Brown added 2 receptions for 2 yards. His 4 targets matched Zack Moss.

ESPN's Dan Graziano hears that there's "pessimism" about Bengals WR Tee Higgins' availability for Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. Higgins was added to the injury report with a quad on Friday, limited in practice, and listed as questionable. "The Bengals are planning to go right up until game time before deciding" on Higgins' status, Graziano adds. We'll look for more updates on Higgins on Sunday morning and get Cincinnati's inactives around 11:30 am ET. His absence would mean more target potential for WR Ja'Marr Chase, WR Andrei Iosivas, and the Bengals RBs and TEs. It'd also be a significant loss for QB Joe Burrow.

Bengals RB Chase Brown led the backfield with 44 yards on 15 carries in Week 7. He didn't find the end zone but ended up playing ahead of RB Zack Moss.

Bengals RB Chase Brown led teammate Zack Moss in basically every category in Sunday night's win over the Giants. He played more snaps (33-24), got more carries (10-6), ran more routes (20-14), drew more targets (3-1), and beat Moss in yards per touch (5.3 to 2.1). The RBs also appeared to get different treatment after their second-half fumbles.

Bengals RB Chase Brown (quad) is active for tonight's game vs. the Giants. He was listed as questionable but never seemed to be in danger of missing this one. Brown figures to continue splitting backfield work with Zack Moss tonight.

Insider Jordan Schultz confirms that Bengals RB Chase Brown (quad) will play against the Giants on Sunday night. HC Zac Taylor said the same on Friday, despite Brown ending up questionable on the final injury report. It doesn't sound like the quad will be an issue vs. New York. Brown figures to continue splitting the backfield with Zack Moss and is a borderline RB2 for Week 6 fantasy lineups.

Bengals RB Chase Brown (quad) is listed as questionable for Sunday night's game vs. the Giants. He was added to the injury report on Thursday and limited again on Friday. HC Zac Taylor called Brown's injury "very minor," though, and said that he'll play against the Giants. Despite the late kickoff, Brown can stay in Week 6 fantasy lineups.

Bengals RBs Zack Moss (foot) and Chase Brown (quad) will play vs. the Giants on Sunday night, HC Zac Taylor said. Both guys were limited on Thursday but practiced again on Friday. It sounds like they'll both be ready for their usual roles this weekend. Over the past two weeks, Brown has out-carried Moss 27 to 24, while Moss has out-targeted Brown eight to six. We're projecting a similar split in the Week 6 RB Rankings.

Bengals RB Zack Moss (foot) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. RB Chase Brown (quad) was also limited on Thursday, after not being on the injury report on Wednesday. Cincinnati's Week 6 backfield is totally up in the air at this point. We'll see what Moss and Brown do on Friday and how they're listed on the final injury report for Sunday night's game vs. the Giants. Trayveon Williams is Cincinnati's No. 3 RB.

Bengals RB Zack Moss (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. He appeared to get banged up late in last week's loss to the Ravens, and his status for Sunday night's game vs. the Giants is now uncertain. Moss' absence would turn RB Chase Brown into a must-start. We'll see if Moss gets back on the field tomorrow.

Bengals RB Chase Brown and Zack Moss both had 15 carries in the game. Brown went for 80 yards and two TDs while hauling in two catches for 12 yards. Moss had 51 yards rushing but caught four passes for 27 yards and a TD.
