Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Texans QB C.J. Stroud threw for a meager 86 yards, with no TDs or INTs, in Sunday's narrow loss at Green Bay. He completed just 10 of 21 pass attempts, with half of those completions going to WR Stefon Diggs. The QB's yardage has dipped significantly through two games without WR Nico Collins.

49ers RB Christian McCaffrey is on track to return on November 10th against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 10. There have been no setbacks with his Achilles tendinitis and the 49ers are planning for him to return in about three weeks.

X-rays on Commanders QB Jayden Daniels' ribs showed no fractures, according to insider Jordan Schultz. Daniels is scheduled for additional testing to get a better idea of his injury. Former NFL head team Dr. David Chao suspects Daniels is dealing with a rib cartilage injury that could cost him this weekend's game vs. the Bears. We should learn more over the next 24 hours. QB Marcus Mariota played well in relief of Daniels against a bad Panthers defense, completing 18 of 23 passes for 205 yards and two TDs. He also ran 11 times for 34 yards. The task will be much tougher if Mariota starts vs. the Bears this weekend.

Steelers WR George Pickens recorded catches of 44 and 37 yards against an injury-riddled Jets secondary. In total, Pickens led the team in targets (9), catches (5) and yards (111) while scoring his first TD of 2024.

A week after he made a strong return from a hamstring injury with 132 total yards and 2 TDs against the Patriots, Texans RB Joe Mixon accounted for most of the offense in Sunday's narrow loss at Green Bay. He ran for 115 yards and 2 TDs on 25 carries (89.3% of the team RB total) and caught two passes for 9 yards. Even that low reception total ranked second on the team for the game. Mixon's 124 total yards constituted 63% of Houston's total net yardage against the Packers.

Jets WR Davante Adams wasn’t limited in his first game with the Jets. Coming off a hamstring strain, the veteran played 55 snaps and ran 39 routes – only one fewer than Garrett Wilson. Still, Adams caught only 33% of his targets in Sunday’s blowout loss to Pittsburgh.

Texans WR Tank Dell went without a catch in Sunday's loss at Green Bay. It marked the first time in his young career that Dell didn't record a reception in a game he didn't leave early. His only previous no-catch game came in Week 13 last season, when Dell suffered a season-ending leg fracture on just his ninth snap.

Jets RB Breece Hall looked in top form against Pittsburgh, totaling 141 yards on 18 touches. Five of his touches went for at least ten yards.

Packers WR Romeo Doubs led the team in targets Sunday for the first time since Week 1. He tallied game highs in receptions (8) and receiving yards (94) in the win over the Texans. Doubs drew a strong 30.3% target share and ran a route on a team-high 86.5% of QB Jordan Love's dropbacks.

Steelers RB Najee Harris rushed 21 times for 102 yards and 1 TD in a Week 7 win over the Jets. He’s now posted two straight games over 100 rushing yards for just the second time in his career.

Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr. rushed 12 times for 71 yards and 1 score in Sunday's blowout win over Carolina. Robinson (knee) entered the weekend as questionable on the injury report; he was a limited practice participant Wednesday-Friday.

Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks managed to play through the shoulder issue that rendered him questionable for Sunday's win over the Texans. He snagged a 30-yard TD among 3 receptions for 48 yards. Wicks tied for second on the team in receiving yards and targets (6) but ranked just fourth among WRs in snaps and routes.

Packers RB Josh Jacobs finally caught his first career TD pass in Sunday's win over the Texans. That marked one of his 5 receptions for 16 yards. Jacobs finished second on the team in catches and scored from 8 yards out in the middle of the third quarter.

Dolphins WRs Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle combined for 2 catches and 15 yards in Sunday's loss to the Colts. Both guys garnered only 2 targets.

Vikings RB Aaron Jones ran 14 times for 93 yards (6.6 YPC) and a TD in the Week 7 loss to the Lions. He added 23 more yards on three catches. Jones went un-touched for the game's opening TD from 34 yards out on a well-blocked play. He had four other runs of 8+ yards. The 93 total rushing yards were 13 more than any other RB has tallied vs. Detroit this season. The Lions entered Week 7 allowing just 3.6 yards per carry to RBs.

Browns TE David Njoku was predictably busy in Sunday's loss to the Bengals. He saw a 27% target share, as a trio of Cleveland QBs -- Deshaun Watson, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, and Jameis Winston -- attempted double-digit passes.

Lions QB Jared Goff threw for 280 yards and two TDs in the Week 7 win over the Vikings. TE Sam LaPorta accounted for just 25 of those yards. He caught one pass on two targets. Four Lions saw more targets and five caught more passes. And this was against a defense that entered the week ranked 29th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to TEs.

Bengals RB Chase Brown led the backfield with 44 yards on 15 carries in Week 7. He didn't find the end zone but ended up playing ahead of RB Zack Moss.

Lions QB Jared Goff was nearly perfect in the Week 7 win over the Vikings, completing 22 of 25 passes (88%) for 280 yards (11.2 YPA), two TDs, and 0 INTs. That included clutch passes for RB Jahmyr Gibbs for 16 yards and WR Amon-Ra St. Brown for 14 yards on a game-winning FG drive. The performance was more impressive when you consider that Minnesota entered this one ranked first in pass defense DVOA and eighth in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs. Goff is just the second QB this season to throw more TDs than INTs against the Vikings.

Rams HC Sean McVay said after Sunday's win over the Raiders that he expects WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) back for Thursday night's game vs. the Vikings. Kupp got in three limited practices last week and was seemingly close to playing vs. Vegas. He'll return against a Minnesota defense that entered Week 7 ranked 26th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to WRs -- and then gave up 172 yards and two TDs to Lions WRs.
