Vikings RB Aaron Jones ran 14 times for 93 yards (6.6 YPC) and a TD in the Week 7 loss to the Lions. He added 23 more yards on three catches. Jones went un-touched for the game's opening TD from 34 yards out on a well-blocked play. He had four other runs of 8+ yards. The 93 total rushing yards were 13 more than any other RB has tallied vs. Detroit this season. The Lions entered Week 7 allowing just 3.6 yards per carry to RBs.
Jones has been awesome this season. He's now averaging 82.8 rushing yards on 5.3 yards per carry in five full games this season -- plus 3.8 catches and 33 receiving yards. Jones has finished as a top-24 PPR RB in all five of those games, including three top-12 finishes.
More importantly, Jones continues to dominate backfield work for Minnesota. He totaled 17 opportunities (carries + targets) in Week 7 vs. just two for RB Ty Chandler. After splitting work in the first two games of the season, Jones has 55 carries and 14 targets to Chandler's 12 carries and one target over Jones' last three healthy games.
Jones looks like an easy top-10 fantasy RB for as long as he's healthy. He has three excellent matchups coming up vs. the Rams, Colts, and Jaguars. The slate gets tougher after that.
