Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
RB Alvin Kamara accounted for 215 scrimmage yards in Sunday's loss to the Panthers. He handled 29 of the team's 41 rushing attempts, averaging 5.3 yards per carry en route to 155 on the ground. Kamara also led the Saints in targets (9), receptions (6), and receiving yards (60). He ceded the team's TDs to Taysom Hill (rushing) and Foster Moreau (receiving).
Giants QB Daniel Jones threw a pair of TD passes and ran for a score in Sunday's loss to the Commanders. Jones rushed seven times for 54 yards, including a 2-yard TD in the fourth quarter. He added 174 yards passing, with no INTs, 2 sacks taken, and one fumble.
Giants WR Darius Slayton sustained a concussion in the Week 9 loss to the Commanders. It's his second concussion of the season, with the first coming in the opener. We'll track Slayton's progress through the protocol this coming week, but consider him no better than 50/50 to play vs. the Panthers next Sunday morning in Germany.
Bills WR Keon Coleman appeared to suffer a right hand or wrist injury late in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s win over the Dolphins. He took a huge hit from S Jordan Poyer, who was flagged for unnecessary roughness on the play. There hasn’t been an update from the team on Coleman, but we’ll look for one tomorrow.
Giants TE Theo Johnson tallied 3 receptions for 51 yards among 6 targets in Sunday's loss to the Commanders. Most of his production came on a 35-yard catch-and-run TD late in the fourth quarter that marked Johnson's first NFL score.
Rams WR Puka Nacua was ejected near the end of the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Seahawks after throwing a punch. He finishes with one catch on four targets for 11 yards. Tough break for Nacua owners, but we don't expect any further discipline to come from this. Nacua should be back for next Monday night's game vs. the Dolphins.
Eagles WR A.J. Brown injured his knee near the end of the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Jaguars and has remained in the locker room for the start of the second half. He's officially questionable to return. We'll update Brown's status when we know more.
Update: Brown has been ruled out.
Giants WR Malik Nabers racked up 9 receptions on 11 targets in Sunday's loss to the Commanders, leading the team in both categories. He accounted for 42.3% of targets, 45% of completions, and 33.9% of receiving yards -- despite tallying just 59 yards (6.6 per catch).
Falcons RB Bijan Robinson racked up 145 total yards on 26 touches in a Week 9 win over Dallas. Robinson snapped a three-game scoring streak but hit 100 total yards for the fourth straight week.
Commanders RB Austin Ekeler did garner a season-high 11 carries with Brian Robinson Jr. inactive for Sunday's win over the Giants. But that merely tied Chris Rodriguez for the team lead, as the team split 30 RB carries among three players. Jeremy McNichols took the other 8 carries and ran 11 pass routes to Ekeler's 13, according to Pro Football Focus.
RB Chris Rodriguez matched Austin Ekeler for the team lead with 11 carries in Sunday's win over the Giants. His 52 yards beat Ekeler by 10 to lead the team, and his 4.7 yards per rush led the team. Rodriguez ran third among the group in receiving work, though, getting just 2 routes to Ekeler's 13 and McNichols' 11.
Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle rushed 12 times for 75 yards in Sunday's loss to Atlanta. He delivered in the passing game, catching 5 of 6 targets for 32 yards and 1 score.
Giants RB Tyrone Tracy played 47 snaps to Devin Singletary's 18 in Sunday's loss to the Commanders, according to Pro Football Focus. Tracy got more work in both the run game (16 carries to 7) and receiving (16 routes to 6), despite coming off a Week 8 concussion.
Falcons WR Darnell Mooney recorded 5 catches, 88 yards, and 1 score in a Week 9 win over Dallas. Mooney saw a team-high 9 targets – a huge 37.5% share – boosted by the first-half departure of Drake London (hip).
Raiders TE Brock Bowers had a prime match-up against the Bengals and was pretty quiet until garbage time where he scored a TD. Bowers ended up catching five of eight targets for 45 yards and that lone score.
Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers caught eight passes on 11 targets for 105 yards in the Raiders loss. As the de facto top WR on the team after the Davante Adams trade, Meyers is seeing the targets with the Raiders defense giving up points early.
Bengals RB Chase Brown had 32 touches for 157 yards and a receiving TD in the Bengals win over the Raiders. With Zack Moss out with a neck injury, Brown showed he could carry a full workload and perform.
Bengals QB Joe Burrow completed 27 of 39 passes for 251 yards, five TDs and one INT against the Raiders. Even without WRs Tee Higgins and Jermaine Burton, Burrow had a dominant performance as the Bengals try to get back into the playoff hunt.
Flowers had two receiving TDs in the first half, including a long 53-yarder at the end of the second quarter. He ended the game catching five of six targets for 127 yards and two TDs.
Commanders WR Noah Brown led the team in targets (6), receptions (5), and receiving yards (60) in Sunday's victory over the Giants. That marked a season high in receptions, with the yards trailing only his hail mary-driven 73 yards in Week 8 against the Bears.
