Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Saints QB Derek Carr threw for a nice 269 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's win over the Falcons. Most of his production came on three completions to WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling. The pair connected on a 40-yard TD, a 67-yarder to set up another score, and then the 2-yard TD to finish that position. Carr tallied 100 yards on his remaining 13 completions (among 22 other attempts). Carr added 17 yards on 4 carries.
Saints RB Alvin Kamara easily led the team in both carries and targets for the second straight game Sunday. He handled 17 of New Orleans' 19 RB carries (89.5%), though he gained just 55 yards (3.2 per rush). Kamara's 6 targets doubled his nearest teammate, and he also led the way with 5 receptions.
The Jets offense struggled mightily as a whole, but WR Davante Adams' 13 targets led the team. He only was able to bring in six for 31 yards. Teammate Garrett Wilson only caught five of six targets for 41 yards while RB Breece Hall had 83 total yards in the game and no scores.
Surprisingly, Cardinals RB James Conner tied for the team league in targets with five and led the team in receiving with 80 yards. He ran the ball 12 times for 33 yards and a TD and was actually outperformed by rookie RB Trey Benson who had 62 yards rushing on 10 carries.
Cardinals QB Kyler Murray set a franchise record with 17 straight completions against the Jets. He ended the game going 22-for-24 for 266 yards and a TD. Murray did score two rushing TDs with 21 yards total on the ground. After some lackluster performances, Murray getting back to fantasy relevancy was welcome this week.
Saints WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling scored a pair of TDs in Sunday's win over the Falcons. He hauled in a 40-yard score on a 3rd-and-5 early in the second quarter and then added a 2-yard TD grab later in the second. MVS totaled 3 receptions for 109 yards on 3 targets.
Texans WR Nico Collins (hamstring) is inactive for tonight’s game vs. the Lions. It was a strange week for Collins, who didn’t practice until Friday before being moved onto the active roster on Saturday but still ending up inactive. We’d expect him back for Week 11 but will track his status this coming week. Collins’ absence is bad news for QB C.J. Stroud, who’s averaged just 6.3 yards per pass attempt without Collins over the last four games.
Falcons RB Bijan Robinson ran for a season-high 116 yards and 2 TDs on 20 carries in Sunday's loss to the Saints. He added 3 receptions for 28 yards on 4 targets.
Texans WR Tank Dell (back) is active for tonight’s game vs. the Lions. He was added to the injury report on Friday and listed as questionable, but we haven’t heard anything to suggest the back will be a major issue tonight. He's a strong fantasy play with WR Nico Collins out.
Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving gashed the 49ers for 73 yards and 1 score on 13 attempts. He out-carried Rachaad White by 3 and topped him in yards per carry (5.6 vs. 3.1).
Falcons WR Drake London tallied 8 receptions for 97 yards on 12 targets in Sunday's loss to the Saints. He led the team in all three categories, an especially nice showing after London entered the game questionable with the hip injury that knocked him out of Week 9.
Colts RB Jonathan Taylor rushed 21 times for 114 yards in Sunday's loss to Buffalo. He added two fourth-quarter catches for 8 yards.
49ers RB Christian McCaffrey totaled 19 touches and 107 yards in Sunday’s win over Tampa Bay. He played over 80% of the snaps in his 2024 debut.
Commanders WR Terry McLaurin caught five of six targets for 113 yards. He was third in targets behind Noah Brown and Zach Ertz, but was the major downfield target for QB Jayden Daniels.
Steelers WR George Pickens caught five of seven targets for 91 yards and an early TD in the Steelers win. Fellow WR Mike Williams, who just joined the Steelers, also caught a 32-yard TD on his lone catch.
Commanders RB Austin Ekeler ran 13 times for 44 yards and two TDs. He also caught a pass for seven yards. Ekeler was the lead back with Brian Robinson sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Steelers QB Russell Wilson completed 14-of-28 for 195 yards and three TDs. He also threw one INT and added three rushing yards on four carries. Wilson has reignited the Steelers offense this year as they beat the Commanders.
Bears WR Keenan Allen caught five of six targets for 44 yards, leading the Bears WRs in catches and yards as well as tying for the lead in targets. In another poor passing day for QB Caleb Williams, the Bears offense as a whole suffered.
Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson ran 20 times for 74 yards in the Patriots win against the Bears. He also caught one pass for three yards. Stevenson remained inefficient, but did not find the end zone, which has saved his recent fantasy days.
Bears RB D’Andre Swift ran 16 times for 59 yards while catching one pass for six yards. Swift had been carrying the Bears offense in recent weeks, but ran into a brick wall against the Patriots
