Saints WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling scored a pair of TDs in Sunday's win over the Falcons. He hauled in a 40-yard score on a 3rd-and-5 early in the second quarter and then added a 2-yard TD grab later in the second. MVS totaled 3 receptions for 109 yards on 3 targets.
His remaining catch was a 67-yarder to get the ball down to the 3-yard line on the drive that produced the 2-yard TD.
We obviously can't expect Valdes-Scantling to regularly provide usable fantasy numbers on just 3 targets. But his 18 routes ranked second on the team, behind only RB Alvin Kamara.
You still shouldn't expect MVS to crack the top 36 in our weekly WR rankings. But the role plus his deep speed are probably enough to make him the top bet among New Orleans WRs going forward.
The Saints get their best remaining matchup for WR scoring next week in the Browns, according to our adjusted fantasy points allowed. Then comes a Week 12 bye, followed by three neutral WR matchups.
