Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Eagles WRs A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (hamstring) were both full participants in practice all week and are not listed on the final injury report. They'll be back in their usual roles vs. the Browns on Sunday and should be back in fantasy lineups. The Eagles are also getting RT Lane Johnson back this week. It's all good news for QB Jalen Hurts.
Buccaneers WR Jalen McMillan (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Saints. He was a full-go in Friday’s practice and is expected back for this one. McMillan isn’t a viable fantasy play, but his return is a slight boost for QB Baker Mayfield. WR Trey Palmer (concussion) remains out.
Bucs RB Rachaad White (foot) is listed as doubtful for this weekend's game vs. the Saints. He was limited in Wednesday's practice but sidelined on Thursday and Friday. HC Todd Bowles called White a game-time decision on Friday, but the 'doubtful' tag makes him unlikely to play. White's absence will leave RB Bucky Irving in a clear lead role. The explosive rookie has averaged 5.6 yards per carry this season and is an exciting RB2 play in Week 6 fantasy lineups.
Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (foot) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Texans. HC Jerod Mayo said Friday that Stevenson isn’t dealing with a long-term injury, so we’ll see if he can make it back for Week 7. His absence this weekend should leave Antonio Gibson as New England’s clear lead back. He’s been good as the No. 2 this year, averaging 5.9 yards per carry and 10.8 yards per catch. Gibson gets a Houston defense ranked ninth in adjusted fantasy points allowed to RBs – and his team is implied for just 15.5 points. But he shapes up as a volume-based RB2 in fantasy lineups.
Packers WR Romeo Doubs will play vs. the Cardinals this week, HC Matt LaFleur said Friday. “He’s done a nice job, he’s gone in and worked," LaFleur added. We're projecting Doubs to step back into a full-time role, although that's obviously not guaranteed after his Week 5 suspension. Doubs checks in as a WR4 in the Week 6 Rankings.
49ers HC Kyle Shanahan labeled RB Jordan Mason "day to day" with the sprained AC joint he suffered in his left shoulder in Thursday night's win over the Seahawks. Mason has another nine days to heal up for a Week 7 showdown with the Chiefs. It sounds like he has a good chance to be ready for that one. We'll track his status throughout next week.
Broncos WR Josh Reynolds is out for Week 6 and “likely a few more weeks” after undergoing finger surgery, according to insider Aaron Wilson. WR Troy Franklin is the most likely candidate to take Reynolds’ snaps, but the rookie is not a viable Week 6 fantasy play.
Steelers RB Jaylen Warren (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Raiders. He was a full participant in Friday’s practice, which seemingly puts him on track to play, despite HC Mike Tomlin labeling him doubtful early in the week. Warren would be tough to trust in fantasy lineups in his first action since Week 3, but his return puts a significant dent in RB Najee Harris’ workload projection.
Falcons RB Bijan Robinson (hamstring) is not listed on the final Week 6 injury report. He was added to the injury report on Thursday and limited in practice, but he put in a full practice on Friday. It all suggests that Robinson will be ready for his usual role in Sunday's get-right spot vs. the Panthers' 31st-ranked RB defense.
Bengals RB Zack Moss (foot) is not listed on the final injury report for Sunday night's game vs. the Giants. He went from no practice on Wednesday to limited participation on Thursday to full participation on Friday. RB Chase Brown (groin) is also expected to play against New York, but the injury report suggests that Moss is the healthier Bengals back.
Bengals RB Chase Brown (quad) is listed as questionable for Sunday night's game vs. the Giants. He was added to the injury report on Thursday and limited again on Friday. HC Zac Taylor called Brown's injury "very minor," though, and said that he'll play against the Giants. Despite the late kickoff, Brown can stay in Week 6 fantasy lineups.
Jaguars WR Gabe Davis (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday morning’s game vs. the Bears. He got in three limited practices, so we’re expecting him to play. But hopefully Davis isn’t in your Week 6 fantasy plans. He’s averaging just 2.4 catches and 32 yards per game.
Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday morning’s game vs. the Bears after a limited week of practice. HC Doug Pederson has sounded more optimistic about Engram’s availability this week than last, so we’re tentatively expecting him to play. We’ll get Jacksonville’s inactives around 8 am ET on Sunday.
Bills WR Khalil Shakir (ankle) remained sidelined for Friday's practice. He's looking unlikely to make it back for Monday night's game vs. the Jets. WR Curtis Samuel stepped in as Buffalo's primary slot receiver last week but mustered just one catch on four targets for 0 yards.
Bills RB James Cook (toe) missed practice again on Friday. We'll see if he gets on the field tomorrow and how he's listed on the final injury report for Monday night's game vs. the Jets, but Cook owners should start making other plans for Week 6. RBs Ray Davis and Ty Johnson will likely form a committee if Cook misses the Monday nighter.
Steelers QB Russell Wilson (calf) will “likely” be active as QB Justin Fields’ backup against the Raiders on Sunday, HC Mike Tomlin said. Perhaps this means Fields’ leash is a tad shorter if he struggles this weekend, but he remains a fine low-end QB1 in the plus matchup.
Titans QB Will Levis (shoulder) practiced all week and will start Sunday’s game vs. the Colts, HC Brian Callahan said Friday. Indianapolis ranks 26th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs, but Levis simply hasn’t played well enough this season to be a QB1 consideration.
Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Titans. He remained sidelined in practice all week. We'll see if JT can make it back for Week 7's game against the Dolphins. His absence will again leave the backfield to RBs Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson. Sermon tallied 10 carries and six targets to Goodson's five carries and three targets last week.
Panthers WR Xavier Legette (shoulder) put in a full week of practice and isn't listed on the final injury report for Sunday's game vs. the Falcons. The rookie should be ready for a full slate of snaps. He's a viable WR4 or Flex play against Atlanta's 28th-ranked WR defense.
Panthers WR Diontae Johnson (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Falcons. He was limited in practice all week. Johnson played through this ankle issue last week after putting in just two limited practices (although he was notably left off the final Week 5 injury report). We're fully expecting Johnson to play this weekend, but we'll look for further updates on his status.
