Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Texans TE Dalton Schultz racked up 5 catches, 45 yards, and 1 score in Saturday's loss to Kansas City. His 8 targets ranked second on the team.
Texans WR Tank Dell left Saturday's loss to the Chiefs after suffering a serious injury to his left knee. Dell caught a 30-yard TD pass early in the third quarter but landed in clear pain. He left the field in an ambulance with his entire leg being stabilized. HC DeMeco Ryans told reporters after the game that Dell will stay overnight in a Kansas City hospital.
Colts LB E.J. Speed will miss Sunday's game against the Titans with a knee injury.
Texans WR John Metchie (shoulder) and TE Cade Stover (illness) are out for Saturday's game vs. the Chiefs. Neither should have been in your fantasy plans, but their absences make TE Dalton Schultz a slightly more interesting Week 16 spot starter. He registered a season-high 91% route rate with Stover out last week. The Chiefs rank 28th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to TEs.
Texans QB C.J. Stroud managed only 131 yards in Sunday's win over Miami. He hit two TDs for only the fifth time this season.
The Texans get LB Christian Harris back today for the first time this season. He's been out since training camp with a calf strain, allowing Henry To'oTo'o to play in his spot. Harris' return coincides with the first game of LB Azeez Al-Shaair's three-game suspension, though. And that leaves uncertainty around how Houston will allot LB snaps today against the Dolphins.
Texans TE Cade Stover is out for today's game against the Dolphins after undergoing an emergency appendectomy last night, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Stover has been running a route on about 30% of pass plays lately, averaging 2.2 targets over his last five games. His absence is a slight boost for TE Dalton Schultz.
Texans S Jalen Pitre will have surgery to repair a partial pectoral tear and miss the rest of the season, according to multiple reports.
The Texans have this week opened the 21-day practice window for LB Christian Harris. The starting LB has been out since August with a calf injury that originated back in July.
The league is suspending Texans LB Azeez Al-Shaair for three games following his hit to Trevor Lawrence's head in Sunday's game. The ban results not just from that hit but "repeat violations of the NFL's health and safety rules," according to the letter announcing the suspension.
Texans LB Azeez Al-Shaair got ejected in the first half of Sunday's game against the Jaguars after he hit a sliding Trevor Lawrence in the head. We'll see whether hit costs Al-Shaair further time via league suspension.
Texans DB Jalen Pitre suffered a partial pectoral tear in Sunday's loss to the Titans that is expected to cost him "multiple weeks," according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The team doesn't yet know how long he'll be out or whether Pitre will eventually need surgery.
Texans WR Nico Collins played his first game in over six weeks, catching four passes 54 yards on seven targets. He did have a TD called back due to a penalty. Collins has retained his athleticism, but struggled for most of the night against Trevon Diggs.
Texans RB Joe Mixon had his way with the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football. He ran 20 times for 109 yards and three TDs while also adding two catches for 44 yards. He has been a Fantasy MVP since returning from his ankle injury.
Colts LB E.J. Speed is active for today's game against the Jets. He entered the day questionable with a knee issue but finished the week with a full Friday practice. Use him as planned in IDP lineups.
Texans WR Nico Collins (hamstring) is not listed on the final Week 11 injury report. He practiced all week, including full workouts on Friday and Saturday, and will play against the Cowboys on Monday night. The Texans were cautious bringing Collins back from this Week 5 hamstring injury, so we're expecting him to be ready for a full slate of snaps in this one. That lands Collins inside the top five of our Week 11 WR Rankings.
Texans WR Nico Collins (hamstring) was limited in Thursday's practice. HC Demeco Ryans was talking earlier this week like Collins would be back for Monday night's game vs. the Cowboys. That's what we're projecting, but we'll keep you updated on Collins' status over the next few days.
Texans WR Nico Collins (hamstring) is expected to practice all week and play against the Cowboys on Monday night, according to insider Aaron Wilson. "He's 100 percent ready to go," a source told Wilson. Collins was seemingly close to playing against the Lions this past week, but the Texans played it safe with his return. We'll look for further updates on his status, but we're tentatively expecting Collins to play something close to his usual role against the Cowboys. He sits high in the Week 11 WR Rankings.
QB C.J. Stroud helped stake the Texans to a 23-7 first-half lead Sunday night against the Lions but wound up struggling -- predictably -- the rest of the way. He threw for 164 yards and a TD on 14-of-20 passing in the first half, finding WR John Metchie in the end zone late in the second quarter. But Stroud went just 6 for 13 after the break, for 68 yards and a pair of INTs.
Texans WR John Metchie tied for the team lead with 5 receptions in Sunday night's loss to the Lions. He also led Houston with 74 receiving yards and snagged the team's only TD catch.
