Dallas Goedert Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Eagles HC Nick Sirianni said Monday that he'll consider sitting some starters in Sunday's regular-season finale vs. the Giants. Philly can win the NFC East only if the Cowboys lose to the Commanders -- a game in which Dallas is currently favored by 13. If the Cowboys win, the Eagles are locked into the No. 5 seed. "I'm not saying yes, I'm not saying no. I'm saying everything's discussed," Sirianni said of his starters playing on Sunday. Hopefully we have a clearer idea of the plan by the end of this week.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert roped in 7 of 9 targets for 71 receiving yards vs. the Cowboys in Week 16. Monday evening’s contest marks the second game in a row that he’s seen 9 targets in a game. Since returning from a broken forearm in Week 14, Goedert ranks second on the Eagles in target share (23.4%) and will look to ride this momentum into Week 17 vs. the Cardinals. Though Arizona ranks as the fifth-toughest TE matchup per our adjusted fantasy points allowed this season, Goedert has seen a hefty amount of involvement in the Eagles’ passing game of late. He should be able to find his way into low-end TE1 status based on volume, but just be sure to temper expectations.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (forearm) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Cowboys. We’ll look for reports on Philadelphia’s plans for Goedert in his first game since Week 9, but we’re tentatively expecting him to play a full slate of snaps. See where Goedert lands in the Week 14 TE Rankings.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (forearm) confirmed in a Tuesday radio appearance that he expects to return for Sunday night's showdown with the Cowboys. “It’s been healing really well," Goedert said of his broken forearm. “It’s probably feeling like 85-90 percent of the way there. Feeling really good back to normal. ... I’m able to do everything I need to do in my position group, so I’m planning on going down to Dallas and playing every snap that they allow me to. Hopefully I don’t have a limit on my snaps. I know when I came back last year I didn’t, so hopefully it’s kinda the same thing.” We'll look for further updates on Philadelphia's plan for Goedert in his first action since Week 9. He'll come with a bit more risk in fantasy than usual this week, but Goedert will belong in plenty of starting lineups. See where he currently sits in the Week 14 TE Rankings.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (forearm) is inactive for today’s game vs. the 49ers. He returned to a limited practice on Friday and seemingly has a good chance to return for next weekend’s rematch with the Cowboys.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (forearm) is listed as doubtful for this weekend’s game vs. the 49ers. He returned to a limited practice on Friday, with Philadelphia aiming to have him back for next week’s rematch with the Cowboys. Grab Goedert now if he was dropped in your fantasy league.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (forearm) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice. He's reportedly been pushing to play vs. the 49ers this weekend, but a Week 13 return vs. the Cowboys is much more likely.

NFL Network's James Palmer reports that Eagles TE Dallas Goedert "will push to play" against the 49ers next Sunday. That would put him four weeks beyond the forearm fracture he suffered in the Week 9 win over Dallas. Palmer adds: "We'll see if that's possible as the week goes. It does seem very realistic for him to be on the field in two weeks" for the rematch with the Cowboys. The takeaway: You might get Goedert back for Week 13, but make sure you have another TE option available. He'll likely be on track for your Week 14 lineup. Obviously we'll keep watching Goedert's situation right up to each game's inactives.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (forearm) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Bills. Philadelphia is hoping to get him back for the Week 14 showdown vs. the Cowboys. TE Grant Calcaterra is also out for Week 12, leaving the Eagles with TEs Jack Stoll and Albert Okwuegbunam. Neither is a reliable fantasy play.

Eagles HC Nick Sirianni says he has "high hopes" that TE Dallas Goedert won't miss more than three games with his forearm fracture, according to Jimmy Kempski of Philly Voice. "There's a reason he's not on IR yet." That would obviously be good news for Goedert's fantasy outlook, and it means you should try to avoid dropping the Eagles TE if your roster can take the dead spot for three weeks. That return timeline would bring Goedert back for Week 14 (at Dallas) and then high-ceiling matchups with the Seahawks, Giants, and Cardinals.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (forearm) did not practice on Thursday. He's expected to miss about four weeks with his fractured forearm, so don't expect to see him out there for Monday night's showdown vs. the Chiefs. Goedert's absence leaves Philly with TEs Jack Stoll, Grant Calcaterra, and Albert Okwuegbunam. We'll see how those guys are deployed on Monday, but none can be trusted in Week 11 fantasy lineups.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert is expected to have surgery on his fractured forearm on Monday and miss "about four weeks," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The Eagles have a Week 10 bye, so it's possible that Goedert ends up missing only three games. If he ends up landing on IR, he'd be out four games. We'll see how Philly handles the situation. Goedert, who sits ninth among TEs in PPR points, is worth keeping stashed on fantasy benches in most cases.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert suffered a fracture in his right forearm in Sunday's win over the Cowboys, according to multiple reports. Goedert will have an MRI Monday morning to determine the severity of the damage and how long he'll be out. A Week 10 bye can only help, of course, but we'll be surprised if he doesn't land on IR for at least the minimum of four games. TE Jack Stoll gained the most playing time after Goedert left, with TE Grant Calcaterra out. TE Albert Okwuegbunam would also be in the replacement mix. That likely replacement committee will make it tough for any single player to emerge as fantasy relevant. We'll update as we hear more on Goedert's expected return timeline.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert suffered an apparent right forearm injury in the third quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys. He immediately headed back to the locker room with trainers. We'll update Goedert's status when we know more.

Update: Goedert is officially questionable to return.

Eagles WR A.J. Brown hauled 10 of 15 targets for 137 receiving yards and a TD in Week 7’s victory over the Dolphins. This marks the fifth consecutive game that Brown has recorded at least 100 receiving yards, by far the longest streak of his NFL career. TE Dallas Goedert also shined on Sunday night, finishing the contest with 5 catches for 77 yards and a receiving TD. Despite being limited by a hamstring injury in practice this week, DeVonta Smith compiled 4 catches for 49 receiving yards. This trio of pass-catchers will have a tremendous opportunity to produce for fantasy managers again in Week 8 vs. a struggling Commanders secondary.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert racked up an 8-117-1 receiving line in Sunday's win over the Rams, easily his biggest fantasy outing through the first five games. Goedert drew a team-high 9 targets, led the team in receptions, and claimed the only TD reception. The yardage more than doubled his season total, which stood at just 88 entering the game. The upturn was somewhat predictable, at least, after HC Nick Sirianni said earlier this week that "we've got to do our jobs as coaches to get him going." Goedert probably won't have many more games as big as this one, but he should be a weekly starter in most fantasy lineups with TE slots. A Week 6 matchup with the Jets has been positive for TE scoring this season. After that comes a potential shootout with Miami. Washington and Dallas matchups beyond that have been negative for TE scoring. We'll see about Goedert's outlook as we get closer to those.
