Dallas Goedert Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert scored his team's second TD in Sunday's win over the Cowboys, snagging the 14-yarder late in the first half. That was one of two catches for 25 yards among 3 targets.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (hamstring) put in a full week of practice and will play vs. the Cowboys on Sunday. It looks like he’s ready for a full slate of snaps in his first action since Week 6. But with WRs A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith available – and the Eagles unlikely to pass much vs. the Cooper Rush-led Cowboys – Goedert is a fringe TE1.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (hamstring) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Barring a setback, he should return for this weekend's game vs. the Cowboys. Goedert led all TEs in PPR points over the first four weeks of the season, but a lot of that damage came with WRs A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith out. We haven't seen all three guys play a full game together since Week 1. Goedert posted a 4-31-0 line on five targets in that one.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (hamstring) remained sidelined in practice all week and is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars. That’ll give TE Grant Calcaterra another start. He’s caught all eight of his targets for 130 yards over the last three weeks.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (hamstring) remained sidelined on Wednesday. That's not a good start for his chances of returning for this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars. Goedert should stay on fantasy benches for now. We'll let you know if he gets back on the field tomorrow.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (hamstring) did not practice all week and is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Bengals. We’ll see if he can make it back for Week 9’s game vs. the Jaguars. TE Grant Calcaterra gets another start this weekend but is an emergency-only fantasy play.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (hamstring) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice. That's not a good start for his chances of returning for this weekend's game vs. the Bengals. Fantasy owners should not be counting on Goedert in Week 8 lineups as of now. We'll keep tabs on his status the rest of the week.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (hamstring) did not practice all week and is out for Sunday's game vs. the Giants. That leaves lead TE duties to Grant Calcaterra, who caught all four of his targets for 67 yards on an 89% route rate after Goedert exited early last week. Calcaterra would be a flier in season-long lineups but is certainly in play as a cheap DFS option.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. Fantasy owners should not be counting on him to play vs. the Giants this weekend. Goedert's absence would leave Grant Calcaterra as Philadelphia's lead TE -- and an emergency fantasy option. He caught all four of his targets for 67 yards last week.

The Eagles lost TE Dallas Goedert on just his third snap in Sunday's win over the Browns. TE Grant Calcaterra filled in well, though. His 57 snaps tied WR A.J. Brown for second among non-QB skill-position players. Calcaterra also tied for second on the team with 4 targets. He caught all four for 67 yards (second on the team).

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert injured his hamstring on the first drive of Sunday's game vs. the Browns. He's officially questionable for return. We'll update his status when we know more.

Update: Goedert has been ruled out.

TE Dallas Goedert led the Eagles in receiving for the second straight week, snagging 7 receptions for 62 yards in the loss to the Buccaneers. His numbers didn't get nearly as large as Week 3 at New Orleans. But Goedert doubled his nearest teammate in targets and accounted for 39.2% of the receiving yardage. Goedert won't be a good bet to continue this level of usage with WRs A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith likely back after the Week 5 bye. But he should remain a solid weekly TE option -- as long as Hurts can play better with his full receiving corps back.

Eagles WRs A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice. Both guys now look unlikely to play vs. the Bucs this weekend. If that's the case, expect an even more run-heavy offense from Philadelphia with touches funneling to RB Saquon Barkley and TE Dallas Goedert.

Eagles WRs A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday. Smith is unlikely to clear protocol in time for this weekend's game vs. the Bucs. And Brown looks no better than 50/50 to make it back for that one. If both guys are out, Philadelphia would be down to WRs Jahan Dotson and Johnny Wilson on the active roster. WR Parris Campbell was elevated from the practice squad for last week's game and would likely play again on Sunday. RB Saquon Barkley and TE Dallas Goedert would be the focal points of the offense.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert set career marks for receptions (10) and receiving yards (170) in Sunday's win over the Falcons. He capped off the effort with a 61-yard catch to set up the game-winning TD run late in the fourth quarter. Goedert's 11 targets led the team and accounted for 29% of QB Jalen Hurts' total pass attempts. WR DeVonta Smith was the only other Eagle to see more than four looks.

Eagles WR DeVonta Smith left in the fourth quarter of the game at New Orleans with a concussion. That obviously means he'll miss the rest of the game and will then need to pass through the league protocol before returning.

The Eagles have downgraded WR A.J. Brown (hamstring) to out for Monday night's game against the Falcons. Brown, of course, has been dealing with an injury that popped up during the practice week. His absence elevates Jahan Dotson to the No. 2 WR spot and makes him a decent fill-in option. TE Dallas Goedert also could benefit on the target-share front.

The Athletic's Brooks Kubena says for the Eagles, "No player has been as impressive in camp" as WR Devonta Smith. "Smith has caught several deep passes from Hurts through six practices, showcasing an explosivity the Eagles lacked during their late-season collapse in 2023," Kubena writes. He adds that the new offense under OC Kellen Moore might continue to feature more downfield shots. According to Pro Football Focus, Hurts ranked just 20th last year in percentage of pass attempts traveling 20+ yards downfield -- among 40 qualifying QBs.

The Eagles are set to hire Kellen Moore as their new OC, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Moore is coming off a disappointing season in Los Angeles, where his Chargers finished an underwhelming 18th in total yards and 21st in points. He had a much more productive stint in Dallas the four years prior, with three of those Cowboys teams ranking top-6 in points, including first- and fourth-place finishes in his final two seasons. Moore deployed a slightly run-leaning offense (in terms of Pass Rate Over Expected) in Dallas and went slightly pass-leaning in Los Angeles last year. But his offenses have consistently played fast. In fact, all five of them ranked top-4 in both pace and situation-neutral pace. That should mean a significant shift in Philadelphia after the Eagles finished 18th in pace and neutral pace last year. We'll see exactly how much say Moore has in the offense under HC Shane Steichen.

The Eagles will be ruling WR A.J. Brown (knee) out for Monday night’s game against the Buccaneers. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that Brown "wants to fully heal as much as he can and give it a go next week." Philly would obviously need to win at Tampa to make that second game happen. Brown’s absence leaves targets available for WR DeVonta Smith and TE Dallas Goedert. WR Julio Jones gains intrigue as a DFS play. QB Jalen Hurts loses upside without his top wideout (and is dealing with his own finger injury). Brown makes for a weak play across playoff fantasy contests.

Update: Brown missed practice again on Saturday and has officially been ruled out.
