Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
49ers WR Deebo Samuel (shoulder) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars. Seemingly healthier than he’s been since Week 2, Samuel is back to WR2-with-upside status.
Jaguars WR Zay Jones (knee) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the 49ers. He got in three limited practices this week, so Jones should have a shot to return for Week 11. But WR Christian Kirk, WR Calvin Ridley, and TE Evan Engram should continue to dominate targets this weekend.
The Steelers have ruled S Minkah Fitzpatrick (hamstring) out for the second straight game Sunday against the Browns. That'll mean another start for Keanu Neal, who played 97% and 89% of defensive snaps the past two weeks. He has managed a just-OK 7 total tackles in each game. Neal sits in DB3 territory of our Week 10 rankings.
Browns RB Pierre Strong (hamstring) is questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Ravens. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Strong got just four touches last week and shouldn’t be in your fantasy plans. His absence would be a very slight boost for RBs Jerome Ford and Kareem Hunt.
Texans K Ka’imi Fairbairn (quad) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Bengals. K Matt Ammendola will take over for Houston but isn’t a recommended fantasy play.
Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Bengals. He remained sidelined in practice all week. Devin Singletary gets another game as Houston’s lead back this weekend. He played 75% of the offensive snaps last week but turned 15 touches into just 28 scoreless yards.
Texans WR Robert Woods (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Bengals. He was a full participant in Friday's practice, and insider Aaron Wilson confirms that Woods is expected back this weekend. It's good timing with WR Nico Collins out. Woods will join Tank Dell and Noah Brown as Houston's top three WRs. Woods averaged 7.2 targets, 3.7 catches, and 38 yards over the first six games of the season.
Texans WR Nico Collins (calf) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Bengals. Per insider Aaron Wilson, Collins hurt his calf during last week’s win over the Bucs and felt worse than expected this week. We’ll see if he can make it back for Week 11’s game vs. the Cardinals.
The Bengals have ruled Edge Sam Hubbard out for Sunday's game against the Texans. He missed practice all week with an ankle injury, which bodes ill for his ability to make it back for a Thursday night clash with Baltimore in Week 11. We'll watch for any progress toward that one. Cameron Sample looks like the next guy up but is tough to like for IDP purposes. Sample has just 9 total tackles and 3 QB hits on the season.
Ravens RB Keaton Mitchell (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Browns. He was added to the injury report on Thursday but put in a full practice on Friday. The rookie should play be available this weekend, but check back around 11:30 am ET on Sunday when we get Baltimore’s inactives.
Lions RB David Montgomery (ribs) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Chargers. We’ll see exactly what this backfield looks like after RB Jahmyr Gibbs’ breakout Week 8. But there should be enough to go around for Montgomery and Gibbs vs. the Chargers’ 22nd-ranked RB defense.
Bills WR Stefon Diggs was added to the injury report with a back and limited in practice on Friday. We don't have any other details at this point. The Bills get the Broncos on Monday night, so we'll get their final injury report on Saturday afternoon.
Patriots WR Demario Douglas (ankle) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday morning’s game vs. the Colts. We haven’t heard anything to suggest that the rookie is in danger of missing this one, but we’ll get New England’s inactives around 8 am ET on Sunday.
Colts WR Josh Downs (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday morning’s game vs. the Patriots. He re-injured his knee last Sunday and then didn’t practice at all this week, so we’d be surprised if Downs ends up playing. He should be on fantasy benches for now. WR Alec Pierce (ankle) is also listed as questionable but should play after getting in a full practice on Friday.
Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson (ribs) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Saints. He was able to play through this injury last week and should be fine for this weekend's contest. We'll get Minnesota's inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.
Vikings WR K.J. Osborn (concussion) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Saints. He went from no practice on Wednesday to limited participation on Thursday to full-go on Friday. Osborn appears to have a legitimate chance to be cleared in time for Sunday’s game. We should get another update on his status on Saturday.
Vikings WR Justin Jefferson (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Saints. He was limited in practice all week after being designated to return from IR. HC Kevin O’Connell admitted Wednesday that Jefferson playing this week “would be a little aggressive,” so we’re still expecting him to miss this one. But we’ll let you know if that changes.
Cardinals WR Michael Wilson (shoulder) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Falcons. QB Kyler Murray’s return helps Wilson’s fantasy outlook, but he’d be a shaky Week 10 fantasy play at less than 100%.
Cardinals RB James Conner (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Falcons. He was limited in practice all week after being designated to return from IR. HC Jonathan Gannon said Friday that Conner is “trending in the right direction” to play this weekend. We’ll look for further updates on Conner’s status – and how much work he might be in for in his first action since Week 5. RB Emari Demercado (toe) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game.
Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase (back) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Texans. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday after sitting out on Wednesday. HC Zac Taylor was non-committal on Chase's availability when asked Friday. We're expecting him to play but will look for further updates on his status and get Cincinnati's inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.
