Ka'imi Fairbairn Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Texans K Ka'imi Fairbairn (quad) was not activated from IR for Sunday's game against the Jets. Matt Ammendola will kick again for Houston in that one but isn't a recommended fantasy starter with the Texans' implied total at just 18.25 points.

The Texans re-signed K Matt Ammendola, who will kick in Sunday's game vs. the Broncos. He's missed all three of his FG tries over the past two weeks, although two of them have come from 50+ yards. Insider Aaron Wilson reports that K Ka'imi Fairbairn (quad) is expected back for Week 14.

The Texans released K Matt Ammendola. K Ka'imi Fairbairn still has at least one more game on IR with his quad injury, so we'll see what Houston plans to do at kicker for this weekend's game vs. the Broncos.

Texans K Ka’imi Fairbairn (quad) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Bengals. K Matt Ammendola will take over for Houston but isn’t a recommended fantasy play.

Texans K Ka'imi Fairbairn was knocked out of Sunday's game vs. the Bucs with a quad injury. RB Dare Ogunbowale is Houston's kicker for the rest of the game.

The Texans on Wednesday placed WR Brandin Cooks and K Ka'imi Fairbairn on the COVID list. HC David Culley has said that LB Eric Wilson -- who also landed on the COVID list Wednesday -- is the team's only unvaccinated player. So Cooks and Fairbairn have a chance to return for Sunday's game against the Chargers. You should plan as though you won't have either guy available, though.

Texans K Ka'imi Fairbairn (leg) has landed on short-term IR. He's out at least 3 weeks. Fairbairn will be replaced by Joey Slye, but you should be avoiding Texans kickers in fantasy lineups.

Texans K Ka'imi Fairbairn sat out Saturday night's preseason finale against the Buccaneers after a "minor leg muscle pull" during pregame warmups, according to Aaron Wilson of Sports Talk 790 in Houston. HC David Culley said afterward that Fairbairn could have played if they needed him to. Wilson reports that it's not expected to affect the kicker's Week 1 status.
