Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Lions TE Sam LaPorta appeared to injure his right ankle on the team's last offensive snap of the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Cardinals. He played the first two snaps of the second half before limping off to the sideline. We'll update LaPorta's status when we know more.
Panthers WR Adam Thielen injured a hamstring on his 31-yard TD catch near the end of the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. He's officially questionable to return. Thielen's absence will mean more playing time for WRs Xavier Legette and Jonathan Mingo, who had been splitting snaps.
Update: Thielen has been ruled out.
Bears QB Caleb Williams posted a fantasy breakout in Week 3, notching 363 yards, 2 TDs, and 2 INTs. Williams was boosted by a massive 52 pass attempts.
Titans WR DeAndre Hopkins caught six of seven targets for 73 yards and a score in the Week 3 loss to the Packers. The targets, catches, and receiving yards all led the team. The TD was vintage Hopkins: A contested grab before fighting through his defender into the end zone.
Vikings WR Justin Jefferson scored for the third straight game in Sunday's victory over Houston. He was one of four Minnesota players to catch TD passes from QB Sam Darnold in the victory. Jefferson led the team in targets (8), receptions (6), and yards (81).
Packers RB Josh Jacobs managed just 43 yards on 14 carries in the Week 3 win over the Titans. Only one of his runs went for more than six yards. Jacobs had another four carries for 39 yards negated by penalties. It was an even more frustrating game for fantasy owners because No. 2 RB Emanuel Wilson ripped off 85 total yards and a TD on 14 total touches. That was only one fewer touch than Jacobs finished with.
Vikings QB Sam Darnold threw for just 181 yards but racked up 4 TD passes in Sunday's beatdown of the Texans. He connected with four different targets for those scores: WR Justin Jefferson, RB Aaron Jones, WR Jalen Nailor, and TE Johnny Mundt. Darnold hurt his left knee late in the third quarter but left the field for only one snap before returning and finishing out the game. (Nick Mullens kneeled on the game's final play.)
Chargers RB J.K. Dobbins came back to earth in Sunday’s loss to Pittsburgh, rushing 15 times for 44 yards.
Steelers RB Najee Harris rushed 18 times for 70 yards in a Week 3 win over the Chargers. Harris entered halftime with only 3 rushing yards.
Despite the difficult match-up, QB Daniel Jones had a great game completing 24 of his 34 passes for 236 yards and 2 TDs. He also ran eight times for 20 yards.
Giants RB Devin Singletary couldn’t get the run going against the stout Browns defense, until he hit a 43 yard run late in the game. He ended with 16 rushes for 65 yards and a TD he also had four catches for 43 yards.
After a slow start in the first two weeks, Browns WR Amari Cooper found the end zone twice in the Browns loss to the Giants. He ended the game with seven catches on 12 targets for 86 yards and 2 TDs.
Giants WR Malik Nabers caught eight passes on 12 targets for 78 yards and two TDs. He even threw an incomplete pass in the game as the jack-of-all-trades weapon for the Giants win against the Cleveland Browns
Godwin had a final stat line of six catches on nine targets for 53 yards and a TD. He led the team in targets again this week while Mike Evans disappointed with a stat line of two catches on three targets for 17 yards.
The rookie ran nine times for 70 yards adding three catches for 14 yards while Rachaad White had six rushes for 17 yards and five catches for 18 yards.
Broncos WR Courtland Sutton was targeted early and often by QB Bo Nix with seven catches on 11 targets for 68 yards.
Broncos QB Bo Nix ran nine times for 47 yards and TD and threw 36 times completing 25 passes for 216 yards. Most importantly, he did not have an interception in the upset win against the Buccaneers.
Eagles WR DeVonta Smith left in the fourth quarter of the game at New Orleans with a concussion. That obviously means he'll miss the rest of the game and will then need to pass through the league protocol before returning.
Giants WR Darius Slayton is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Browns with a thumb injury. We'll update his status when we know more. Slayton's absence should mean more snaps for WR Jalin Hyatt.
Lions LB Alex Anzalone is inactive for today's game against the Cardinals because of a concussion. That should leave LBs Derrick Barnes and Jack Campbell playing full-time snaps -- or at least near full.
