Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle carried 11 times for 46 yards in Thursday night's win over the Giants. Both marks led the team. Dowdle also caught his only target for a 15-yard TD, showing impressive burst to beat a couple of angles on his way to the end zone.

Giants WR Wan'Dale Robinson caught 11 of 14 targets for 71 yards in Thursday night's loss to the Cowboys. The targets and catches were both career highs. As usual, Robinson didn't have any opportunities downfield. His longest catch went for just 11 yards. But he was a quality short-range target for QB Daniel Jones, consistently creating separation on his routes and picking up additional yards after the catch.

Giants QB Daniel Jones completed 29 of 40 passes (73%) for 281 yards (7.0 YPA) in Thursday night's loss to the Cowboys. He was decisive and accurate in the short passing game, peppering WRs Malik Nabers and Wan'Dale Robinson with 29 combined targets. Jones couldn't connect on much downfield, though, notably missing two deep throws to WR Darius Slayton and one to Nabers. Two of those could have gone for TDs with well-placed balls. Jones also struggled in the red zone, with the Giants ultimately settling for five FGs. Jones carried four times for just three yards.

Giants WR Malik Nabers suffered a concussion in the fourth quarter of Thursday night's game vs. the Cowboys. It's his first documented concussion. Nabers will have 10 days to get cleared for Week 5's game against the Seahawks. We'll keep you updated on his progress. The rookie was again super busy before leaving, racking up 12 catches on 15 targets for 115 yards.

Seahawks RB Ken Walker (oblique) put in a limited practice on Thursday. We're tentatively projecting him to return for Monday night's game against the Lions, but we'll keep you updated on his progress leading up to that one.

Lions TE Sam LaPorta (ankle) did not practice on Thursday. He's reportedly dealing with a low-ankle sprain and has an extra day to get ready for Monday night's game vs. the Seahawks. But LaPorta's availability for that one remains uncertain. We'll keep you updated on his progress over the next couple of days.

Raiders WR Davante Adams was added to the injury report and limited in Thursday's practice with a hamstring. We don't have any other details at this point. We'll see what Adams does in Friday's practice and how he's listed on the final injury report for this weekend's game vs. the Browns.

Browns TE David Njoku (ankle) returned to a limited practice on Thursday -- his first since suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 1. We'll see if Cleveland is getting Njoku ready to play vs. the Raiders this weekend, or eyeing a Week 5 return. Check back tomorrow for another update on Njoku's status.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel (calf) put in a limited practice on Thursday. It was his first practice since going down near the end of Week 2's loss to the Vikings. Samuel seemingly has a shot to play vs. the Patriots this weekend. We'll see how he's listed on Friday's final injury report.

Eagles WRs A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice. Both guys now look unlikely to play vs. the Bucs this weekend. If that's the case, expect an even more run-heavy offense from Philadelphia with touches funneling to RB Saquon Barkley and TE Dallas Goedert.

Texans WR Nico Collins was added to the injury report and limited in practice on Thursday with a hamstring. That likely means Collins hurt the hamstring in practice today, which could put his availability for this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars in doubt. We'll update Collins' status again on Friday afternoon.

Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) remained sidelined on Thursday. He's looking unlikely to play vs. the Texans this weekend. That'd mean another start for TE Brenton Strange, who's tallied 3-65-0 and 2-12-1 lines the past two weeks.

Bears WR Rome Odunze was added to Thursday's injury report with a hip. He was limited in practice. We don't have any other details on the rookie's injury right now. We'll see if Odunze practices on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report for this weekend's game vs. the Rams.

Falcons RB Bijan Robinson was added to the injury report and limited in practice on Thursday with a shoulder. That usually means the player was injured in practice. We'll be on the lookout for more details on Robinson's status and will see how he's listed on Friday's final injury report. Tyler Allgeier would turn into a top-20 fantasy RB if Robinson misses this weekend's game vs. the Saints.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (hip, ribs) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That bodes well for his chances of playing vs. the Falcons this weekend, but check back tomorrow to see how Kamara is listed on the final injury report.

Giants WR Darius Slayton (thumb) is active for tonight's game vs. the Cowboys. Slayton has played 80% of New York's offensive snaps but drawn just 10 targets on a 9.5% share through three games. He's only in play in one-game DFS contests.

Bucs RB Bucky Irving (hamstring) did not practice on Thursday. It's a downgrade from his limited workout on Wednesday. Irving told reporters that he'll play vs. the Eagles this weekend, but take that with a hefty grain of salt. We'll see if the rookie gets back on the field on Friday and then how he's listed on the final injury report. His absence would be a significant boost to RB Rachaad White's Week 4 fantasy value.

Packers QB Jordan Love (knee) remained limited in Thursday's practice. "We'll give him up to game time," HC Matt LaFleur said afterward. We'll see how Love is listed on Friday's final injury report, but it sounds like a decision on his status for this weekend's game against the Vikings won't come until later -- and potentially not until Sunday morning. Vikings-Packers kicks off at 1 pm ET.

Panthers WR Diontae Johnson was added to Thursday's injury report with a groin and did not practice. He told reporters afterward that he decided to sit because of poor field conditions and that he'll be ready to go for Sunday's game vs. the Bengals. But we'll see what Johnson does on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report. It's worth noting that Johnson dealt with a minor groin injury in August. It's unclear if this is related.

Texans RBs Joe Mixon (ankle) and Dameon Pierce (hamstring) remained sidelined on Thursday. Neither looks likely to play vs. the Jaguars this weekend. That will again leave Cam Akers as the primary early-down back, with RB Dare Ogunbowale handling passing downs. Akers got game-scripted out of touches in last week's loss to the Vikings but is likely to handle more work on Sunday with his Texans 6.5-point favorites.
