Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
The Packers suspended WR Romeo Doubs one game for conduct detrimental to the team. He'll miss Sunday's contest vs. the Rams.
Saints TE Taysom Hill (ribs) has been ruled out for Monday night's game vs. the Chiefs. He hasn't been placed on IR as of now but figures to miss multiple games with his fractured ribs. Hill has just three targets but 14 carries and two rushing scores in three games this season. His absence is an upgrade for RB Alvin Kamara, who carried a season-high 26 times when Hill missed Week 3.
Patriots WR Kendrick Bourne (knee) has been activated from the PUP list and will make his 2024 debut vs. the Dolphins on Sunday, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. It'll be Bourne's first action since last October's torn ACL.
Colts QB Anthony Richardson has been downgraded to Doubtful for Sundays game against the Jaguars. QB Joe Flacco will start for the Colts, most likely giving the offense a very different feel and game plan
The Cowboys have placed WR Brandin Cooks on IR for his knee infection. The issue seems likely to keep him out for just the required four weeks, but we'll watch for updates on his situation. He'll be eligible to return for a Week 10 home date with the Eagles.
The Patriots will be without S Jabrill Peppers for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. After initially listing him as questionable with a shoulder injury, New England downgraded him to out Saturday. Three other key DBs and an edge starter might also be out.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler hears from a source close to Colts QB Anthony Richardson that he's shaping up as a game-time decision for Sunday's tilt with the Jaguars. "He wants to play, but it's a matter of functionality," Fowler adds. "Can he be himself running and throwing 100%? It's not a situation where that oblique injury can worsen, so that's the good news. ... Joe Flacco took a lot of the reps this week ... typically that tells the story." It sure sounds like Fowler believes Flacco is more likely to start against Jacksonville than Richardson. We'll look for further updates on the situation and get Indianapolis' inactives around 11:30 am ET tomorrow.
Patriots HC Jerod Mayo said Friday that RB Rhamondre Stevenson will not start this weekend's game vs. the Dolphins. That honor will presumably go to RB Antonio Gibson. Stevenson has fumbled once in all four of New England's games so far this season.
Saints K Blake Grupe (right hip) returned to a full practice on Friday. It looks like he'll be fine for Monday night's game vs. the Chiefs. But, with the Saints sporting a 19-point implied total, Grupe is not a recommended fantasy starter.
Packers TE Luke Musgrave (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Rams. He didn’t practice all week, so he’s seemingly on the wrong side of 50/50. Musgrave shouldn’t be in your Week 5 fantasy plans, but his absence would be a boost for TE Tucker Kraft.
49ers TE George Kittle (ribs) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Cardinals. He only got in a limited practice on Friday. Kittle played through this injury in the second half of last week’s game, so we’re tenatively expecting him to play against Arizona. But we’ll look for further updates on his status. We won’t get San Francisco’s inactives until a little after 2:30 pm ET on Sunday.
Cardinals TE Trey McBride (concussion) practiced all week and is not listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the 49ers. He’ll play his usual role in that one and will get a matchup upgrade if LB Fred Warner (questionable, ankle) is not able to play.
Cardinals K Matt Prater (left knee) is questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the 49ers. He only got in a limited practice on Friday. Between the injury and Arizona’s 21.25-point implied total, Prater should not be in Week 5 fantasy lineups.
Broncos RB Tyler Badie (back) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Raiders. We’ll see if rookie RB Blake Watson makes his debut, but RBs Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin figure to handle the vast majority of the backfield work.
Raiders WR Davante Adams (hamstring) remained sidelined in practice all week and is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Broncos. Adams is reportedly dealing with a legitimate injury and could miss another game. We’ll see if he’s still a Raider when he’s able to get back on the field. His absence will again leave WRs Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker and TE Brock Bowers as Vegas’ top targets.
Raiders TE Michael Mayer (personal) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Broncos. TE Brock Bowers underwhelmed in the box score last week, but he registered a season-high 81% route rate with Mayer out. The rookie is a strong Week 5 fantasy play.
Commanders RB Brian Robinson (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Browns. He only got in a limited practice on Friday. “He’s trending in the right way, and we’ll take it all the way to game day,” HC Dan Quinn said Friday. “But he’s doing great.” We’re tentatively expecting Robinson to play but will get Washington’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. RB Austin Ekeler (concussion) practiced all week and is not listed on the final injury report.
Browns TE David Njoku (ankle) is questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Commanders. He got in limited practices on Wednesday and Friday, with Thursday a planned day off. HC Kevin Stefanski was non-committal on Njoku’s availability for this game on Friday. We’ll look for further updates on his status and get Cleveland’s inactives around 11:30 am ET.
Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Colts. HC Doug Pederson said Friday that Engram will likely be a game-time decision. We’ll get Jacksonville’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday, but Engram will carry elevated risk in fantasy lineups if he suits up.
Packers WRs Christian Watson (ankle) and Romeo Doubs (personal) are listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Rams. So Green Bay is suddenly down two of its top three WRs in terms of playing time so far this season. It’s a huge opportunity for WR Dontayvion Wicks, while WR Jayden Reed and TE Tucker Kraft should also pick up extra volume. We’re expecting WRs Bo Melton and Malik Heath to split Doubs’ snaps.
