Las Vegas Raiders Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Raiders TE Michael Mayer (personal) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Broncos. TE Brock Bowers underwhelmed in the box score last week, but he registered a season-high 81% route rate with Mayer out. The rookie is a strong Week 5 fantasy play.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (chest) is not listed on the final injury report after putting in a full practice on Friday. He’ll play vs. the Patriots this weekend for the first time since Week 1. But, with Miami’s offense looking anemic without QB Tua Tagovailoa, Mostert is not a recommended fantasy starter.

The Raiders have ruled RB Zamir White (groin) out for this weekend's game vs. the Broncos. It looks like he injured his groin on Wednesday, going from a limited practice then to no practice on Thursday or Friday. His absence will leave Alexander Mattison as Vegas' clear lead back. He figures to lose some passing-down snaps to RB Ameer Abdullah (and potentially Dylan Laube) and is playing on a team with the week's lowest implied total at 16.5 points. So the upside here isn't exciting. But Mattison should compile enough volume to post a decent fantasy score this week.

After putting in a limited practice on Wednesday, Raiders RB Zamir White (groin) did not practice on Thursday. His status for this weekend's game vs. the Broncos is now in serious question. White's absence would likely turn Alexander Mattison into something close to an every-down back. We'll update White's status again tomorrow.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith posted another strong fantasy line in Monday night's loss to the Lions. Even with just 1 TD pass, he finished QB5 for the week (depending on your scoring) by throwing for 395 yards on 38-of-56 passing and rushing for 38 yards. Smith now sits sixth among QBs in fantasy points through four weeks.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (chest) is inactive for tonight's game vs. the Titans. He's been limited in practice the past two weeks but evidently isn't ready for game action yet. Miami figures to continue using De'Von Achane in a feature role, with RBs Jaylen Wright and Jeff Wilson picking up scraps.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (chest) is not expected to play vs. the Titans tonight, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. That'll again leave RB De'Von Achane in a workhorse role. He's totaled 33 carries and 12 targets with Mostert out the last two games. RBs Jaylen Wright and Jeff Wilson will be active behind Achane but are only in play as fliers in one or two-game DFS contests.

Raiders Rookie TE Brock Bowers only had three targets against the Browns and he hauled in two for 19 yards. In a game without WR Davante Adams, it was disappointing for Bowers who had been a consistent TE1 every week.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (chest) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Titans. He was limited in practice all week. Mostert said Friday that it's a "toss-up" whether he'll be able to play. HC Mike McDaniel said Saturday that Mostert is "trying" to play. But "we are not going to prematurely put ourselves out there if we are going to take steps back and not protect ourselves," McDaniel added. Mostert seems truly 50/50 to play in this one. With the late kickoff, he belongs on fantasy benches if at all possible. Even if Mostert plays, he'll be just a RB3 or Flex with Miami's QB issues. The Dolphins will also be without OT Terron Armstead (concussion) vs. Tennessee.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (chest) has put in two limited practices so far this week. We’re expecting him to return for Monday night’s game vs. the Titans, but Mostert isn’t a very exciting fantasy option with Miami’s QB issues. We’ll see how he’s listed on the final injury report on Saturday afternoon.

Raiders TE Michael Mayer is out for this weekend's game vs. the Browns. He missed Thursday and Friday's practices and is listed on the injury report with "personal." We don't have any other details on his situation. Mayer ran a route on 43% of pass plays and drew seven targets over the first three weeks of the season. His absence is another boost to TE Brock Bowers, on top of WR Davante Adams being out.

Raiders Edge Maxx Crosby revealed after Sunday's loss to the Panthers that he's playing through a significant ankle injury. He was officially questionable for the game but expected to play -- and did.

Raiders TE Brock Bowers only had three catches on four targets for 41 yards. In a great potential match-up, the Raiders offense was anemic until garbage time.

Raiders Edge Maxx Crosby, DT Christian Wilkins, and Edge Tyree Wilson are active for today's game against the Panthers. Crosby and Wilson were expected to play, whereas Wilkins reportedly looked more questionable. That could limit his snap count vs. usual, but Wilkins should probably be in most IDP lineups as planned at this stage in the Week 3 slate.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (chest) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Seahawks. He put in three limited practices this week, so he should have a good chance of making it back for Week 4. RB De’Von Achane racked up 22 carries and seven targets with Mostert out last week and should be busy again today. RBs Jaylen Wright and Jeff Wilson are active behind Achane but aren’t fantasy options.

The Raiders list Edge Maxx Crosby as questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers, but it doesn't sound like you need to worry about his availability. According to Levi Damien of Raiders Wire, HC Antonio Pierce said Friday: "He hasn't missed any practice. He hasn't missed a snap, and I don't expect him missing Sunday, either." Plan to have Crosby in your IDP lineups. Edge Tyree Wilson (knee) is also questionable but expected to play after putting in a full Friday practice. DT Christian Wilkins appears truly questionable with a knee injury that limited his practice all week. We'll check his status Sunday. The Raiders ruled out LB Divine Deablo (oblique, concussion). That makes Luke Masterson a starter.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (chest) is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Seahawks. He put in three limited practices this week but evidently isn’t ready for game action. His absence should again leave workhorse duties to RB De’Von Achane, who racked up 22 carries and seven targets last week. RBs Jaylen Wright and Jeff Wilson will be active behind Achane but aren’t fantasy factors.

Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel said Friday that he's "pessimistic" RB Raheem Mostert (chest) will play vs. the Seahawks this weekend. Mostert has put in two limited practices so far this week and hasn't been ruled out yet. But fantasy owners should start preparing to be without him again in Week 3. We'll see how he's listed on the final injury report later today.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (chest) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. That gives him a shot to return for this weekend's game vs. the Seahawks. Miami could certainly use him with QB Skylar Thompson under center. We'll track Mostert's progress over the next few days.

Raiders rookie TE Brock Bowers went off with a final stat line of nine catches on all nine of his targets. He nearly had a TD, being downed at the one-yard line. In a game where the Raiders were trailing for most of the second half, QB Gardner Minshew threw the ball 38 times. Bowers was second behind WR Davante Adams in targets for the Raiders.
