Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Colts QB Anthony Richardson has been diagnosed with a hip pointer, NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe reports. The "hope" is that Richardson "misses very little or no game action," Wolfe adds. It's relatively good news, although it sounds like Richardson isn't a lock to be ready for Week 5. We'll keep you updated on his progress this coming week.
Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth caught five of seven targets for 57 yards in Sunday's loss to the Colts, ranking second on the team in each of those categories. He also snagged Pittsburgh's only TD pass from 8 yards out late in the fourth quarter. It was Freiermuth's first TD since Week 3 of last season.
Steelers WR George Pickens posted a strong receiving day in Sunday's loss to the Colts. He set season highs in targets (11), receptions (7), and receiving yards (113). Pickens drew a target on 32.4% of QB Justin Fields' 34 pass attempts and contributed 36.2% of the team's total receiving yards. The lone TD pass went to TE Pat Freiermuth.
Steelers QB Justin Fields accounted for all three offensive TDs in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Colts. He led the team with 55 yards on 10 carries and scored twice on the ground, from 5 and 2 yards out. Fields also threw for a season-high 312 yards and another score, finding TE Pat Freiermuth from 8 yards out late in the fourth quarter.
Chiefs WR Rashee Rice (knee) was carted to the locker room in the first quarter of Week 4. He's officially questionable to return.
UPDATE: Rice has been ruled out for the game.
Bears RB D'Andre Swift rushed 16 times for 93 yards and 1 score in Sunday's win over the Rams. The breakout game included team-highs in targets (7), catches (7) and receiving yards (72).
Colts RB Jonathan Taylor suffered an ankle injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Steelers. He's officially questionable to return. Stay tuned for an update. RB Trey Sermon took over for Taylor.
Chargers QB Justin Herbert (ankle) is active for today’s game against the Chiefs. He was limited in practice all week after aggravating his high-ankle sprain in last week’s loss to the Steelers. Herbert will be without starting OTs Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater today and isn’t a recommended starter in any fantasy formats.
Steelers RB Cordarrelle Patterson has been ruled out of Sunday's game vs. the Colts with an ankle injury. RB Jaylen Warren is inactive, leaving RB Najee Harris to dominate work.
Saints TE Taysom Hill is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. Falcons with an abdomen injury. He carried six times for 24 yards and two TDs in the first half. We'll update Hill's status when we know more.
Update: Hill has been ruled out.
49ers WR Deebo Samuel (calf) is active for today’s game vs. the Patriots. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday – and we haven’t heard anything about a snap count for him today. There’s some risk of an in-game aggravation of his calf injury, but Samuel checks in as a risk/reward WR2 in the Week 4 Rankings.
Broncos RB Tyler Badie is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Jets with a back injury. He appeared to collapse on the sidelines and was taken away on a stretcher. We'll update his status when we know more. Badie's absence leaves Denver's backfield to Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin.
Update: Badie has been ruled out.
Bucs WR Trey Palmer sustained a concussion in the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Eagles and is done for the day. Tamps is already without WR Jalen McMillan, who hurt his hamstring in Friday's practice. WRs Chris Godwin and Mike Evans will continue to dominate Bucs targets.
Packers WR Christian Watson is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Vikings. He was carted back to the locker room. We'll update Watson's status when we know more. His absence will mean more snaps for WR Dontayvion Wicks.
Update: Watson has been ruled out.
Colts QB Anthony Richardson suffered a hip injury in the first quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Steelers. He briefly returned before taking another hit and heading back to the locker room. Stay tuned for an update. QB Joe Flacco has taken over for Indianapolis.
Update: Richardson has been downgraded to out.
Jaguars RB Travis Etienne is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Texans with a shoulder injury. He played two snaps before exiting but did not touch the ball. We'll update his status when we know more. Etienne's absence leaves Tank Bigsby as Jacksonville's lead back.
Update: Etienne returned at the end of the first quarter.
Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reports that Rams WR Puka Nacua (knee) is expected to miss "at least another month." Glazer throws out Week 8 as a potential return target for Nacua. That closely matches the 5-7 week timetable we got from ESPN's Adam Schefter after Nacua aggravated his knee injury in the opener. Fantasy players who have kept Nacua stashed since that injury should keep stashing. He still has WR1 fantasy upside over the second half of the season.
Fox Sports' Jay Glazer confirms that Rams WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) is not expected to play in Week 5 vs. the Packers. Kupp then gets a Week 6 bye and has a good chance to return for Week 7's meeting with the Raiders. We'll keep you updated on his progress. Kupp owners should continue keeping him stashed on benches.
The Titans are likely to be without DT Jeffery Simmons on Monday night against the Dolphins. He's doubtful with an elbow injury. They also might miss CB L'Jarius Sneed and/or S Amani Hooker. Sneed is questionable with a hamstring issue. He had been listed for just a rest day earlier in the week but turned up limited Saturday. Hooker is questionable because of a gash on his right cheek that required eight stitches. The team also placed CB Chidobe Awuzie on IR Saturday with a groin injury. Tennessee's D remains in play for fantasy use because of the QB trouble in Miami. But the injuries add downside risk.
Jaguars LB Devin Lloyd (knee) is inactive for today's game against the Texans. With LB Foye Oluokun already on IR for a foot injury, that leaves Ventrel Miller and Chad Muma as the top 2 LBs for the game. It's tough to know exactly how much playing time to expect for either reserve. Oluokun dipped to 80-85% as the corps leader over the first two weeks, with Miller and Muma rotating in more than the Nos. 3-4 LBs did over the past couple of seasons. Each guy is a low-level IDP option for Week 4, though, with upside beyond their spots in our rankings. S Darnell Savage (quad) is also inactive.
