Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Jets QB Zach Wilson has been ruled out of Sunday’s game with a head injury. Per the CBS broadcast, Wilson went to the locker room before halftime to get treated for dehydration. Trevor Siemian has taken over under center.
Update: Wilson has a concussion, the team announced.
Cowboys WR Brandin Cooks (illness) is active for today’s game vs. the Bills. He should be available for his usual role. WR Jalen Tolbert (illness) is also active.
Rams WR Tutu Atwell (concussion) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Commanders. He was a full participant in Friday’s practice, so Atwell should be back for Week 16. His absence today leaves Demarcus Robinson as Los Angeles’ No. 3 WR. He has some deep-league and DFS appeal against Washington’s 32nd-ranked WR defense.
Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (heel) is active for today’s game vs. the 49ers. He got in just limited practices on Thursday and Friday, so it’s safe to assume he’s still not at 100%. Brown sits in fringe WR3 territory in the Week 15 Rankings. WR Michael Wilson (neck) is also active but would be a very shaky fantasy play in his first action since Week 10.
Giants QB Tommy DeVito exited for a concussion check in the second quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Saints. He took a big shot to the back at the end of a scramble and slammed his head against the turf. We'll update DeVito's status when we know more. He's been replaced by QB Tyrod Taylor.
Update: DeVito returned for the start of the second half.
Broncos RB Javonte Williams didn't just let you down with his production in Saturday night's loss to the Lions. He saw his playing time and route participation tumble. It started with Denver putting Jaleel McLaughlin on the field to open the game. Williams took over for the second possession and still led the backfield in playing time and touches. But his 48% playing time for the game marked his lowest since a Week 6 return from a quad injury. That followed three straight games of 60%+. His biggest dip came in the passing game. Williams ran a route on just 25.7% of QB Russell Wilson's dropbacks. That marked a significant fall vs. three straight outings of 40.5% or more. Williams ran just nine routes vs. eight for Samaje Perine and five for Jaleel McLaughlin. Combine that with now seven straight games of averaging less than 3.9 yards per carry, and it's tough to see Williams as more than an "if you need him" starter for a Week 16 matchup with the Patriots. We'll see about his role and performance in that game before declaring his usability for a better matchup with the Chargers in Week 17. Perine drew just 1 target for the game but caught it for 11 yards and averaged 6.2 yards across his 6 carries. That followed a 5-catch Week 14 and couldn't have hurt his chances at getting playing time the rest of the way. McLaughlin garnered just 4 touches for the game. He has topped 6 touches just once in his past eight games.
Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle suffered an apparent chest injury on the first drive of Sunday's game vs. the Jets. He made his way off the field and into the blue medical tent. We'll update his status when we know more.
Update: Waddle returned later in the first quarter.
The Eagles expect QB Jalen Hurts (illness) to be able to play vs. the Seahawks on Monday night, according to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer. We'd keep Hurts in Week 15 fantasy lineups in most cases, while rostering backup QB Marcus Mariota as insurance.
FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports that Seahawks QB Geno Smith aggravated his groin injury and now has an "uphill battle" to play vs. the Eagles on Monday night. It sounds like we should expect QB Drew Lock to start that one. We're updating Seattle projections now.
The Seahawks list CB Devon Witherspoon (hip) and S Jamal Adams (knee) as questionable for Monday night's game against the Eagles. Each guy missed the entire practice week, though. HC Pete Carroll told reporters he's "hoping" Witherspoon will play. But he gave no further indication of how likely Witherspoon or Adams is to play. if you'd be left with an empty lineup spot, then you should probably go another direction with your IDP lineup today. We'll update both players ahead of Monday's game.
Dolphins S Jevon Holland (knees) and CB Xavien Howard (hip) are inactive for today's game against the Jets. With S DeShon Elliott (concussion) also out, that leaves Miami down three of its top four DBs. It's tough to trust QB Zach Wilson for fantasy production, but the setting looks excellent for WR Garrett Wilson at least. Edge Andrew Van Ginkel (oblique) is active after entering the day questionable.
Titans DE Denico Autry (knee, illness) and LB Jack Gibbens (back) are active for today's game against the Texans. Neither is a high-level IDP, but both are available if needed. Autry's presence is particularly important for a D-line missing DT Jeffery Simmons. That absence makes it tough to like Tennessee's defense at any level for fantasy.
Packers LB Quay Walker (shoulder) is active for today's game against the Buccaneers. There's some re-injury risk, but he's OK to use as planned in your IDP lineups. S Darnell Savage (shoulder) and CB Jaire Alexander (shoulder) are inactive. Their absences hurt Green Bay's pass defense.
Buccaneers LB Devin White (foot) is inactive for today's game against the Packers. That means another start for rookie LB Sirvocea Dennis, who's merely a low-level IDP option. CB Jamel Dean (ankle, foot) and DT Vita Vea (toe) are active. Vea's a surprise after he didn't practice all week and got listed as doubtful. His return helps the Tampa Bay run defense.
Patriots WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Chiefs. WRs DeVante Parker and Tyquan Thornton (hamstring) are active. WR Demario Douglas is back from his concussion and is the only viable fantasy play in this WR corps.
Giants TE Darren Waller (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Saints. He was just designated to return from IR on Thursday and got in two limited practice this week. We’d try not to use Waller in fantasy lineups in his first action since Week 8.
Bears WR D.J. Moore (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Browns. He was full-go in Friday’s practice, so we’re not expecting the ankle to be a problem today. Moore is safe to use as you normally would.
Saints WR Chris Olave (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Giants. WR Michael Thomas remains on IR, so New Orleans is down to WRs Rashid Shaheed, A.T. Perry, Lynn Bowden, Keith Kirkwood, and Marquez Callaway. Shaheed is the best fantasy bet and has some exciting upside as a WR3 today.
Bucs WR Chris Godwin (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Packers. He was a full participant in Friday’s practice, but HC Todd Bowles labeled him a game-time decision. We haven’t heard anything about Godwin being limited today, but he still carries a bit more risk than usual in Week 15 fantasy lineups.
Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Bucs. He didn’t practice all week and might miss more time beyond Week 15. WR Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) is active and should continue to operate as Green Bay’s No. 3 WR behind Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs.
