Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) did not practice on Tuesday. He missed two practices last week before torching the Broncos for 280 yards and three scores. It's at least worth noting that Jackson ran only three times for four yards in that one -- both season lows. We'll keep an eye on the rushing production, but HC Jim Harbaugh confirmed on Tuesday that Jackson will play vs. the Bengals on Thursday night. He remains a must-start in fantasy lineups.

Bengals WR Tee Higgins (quad) did not practice on Tuesday. He seems unlikely to be available for Thursday night's game vs. the Ravens, but we'll see how he's listed on the final injury report tomorrow. Higgins' absence would lock in Mike Gesicki as a top-10 TE play this week.

Vikings K Will Reichard is expected to miss at least this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars with a quad strain, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Minnesota is signing K John Parker Romo to fill in for Reichard. The former undrafted free agent has yet to attempt an NFL kick. The Vikings have a 25.75-point implied total this weekend, but we'd shy away from using Romo in fantasy lineups in his NFL debut.

Update: Reichard will be placed on IR, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. He'll miss at least the next four games and can be dropped from fantasy rosters.

Former Jets WR Mike Williams has been traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a 2025 Fifth Round pick. Williams was signed to the Jets as a free agent, but lost playing time to Allen Lazard. He was then buried after miscommunications with QB Aaron Rodgers and the Jets trading for WR Davante Adams. He should slot in as the WR2 for the Steelers.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday that WR CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) has a "good chance" to play vs. the Eagles this weekend. We take anything Jones says with a hefty grain of salt, but this matches previous reporting that Lamb could be ready by Sunday. We'll keep a close eye on his status throughout the week. For now, we're projecting him in for Week 10.

The Panthers are trading WR Jonathan Mingo to the Cowboys. Dallas is sending a fourth-round 2025 pick for Mingo and a seventh-rounder.

Jerry Jones revealed during his weekly Tuesday radio spot that the Cowboys will place QB Dak Prescott on IR for his hamstring injury. That means the QB will miss at least the next four games.

Buccaneers TE Cade Otton delivered 8 catches, 77 yards, and 1 TD against Kansas City. He saw a huge 35.4% target share – easily the best on the team.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes avoided a serious ankle injury in Monday’s win over Tampa Bay. Mahomes hurt the ankle on a late-game throw on the run. "I was obviously running for the goal line, kind of had committed to running the football, and at the last second saw Samaje and so kind of awkwardly rolled the ankle a bit," Mahomes told reporters postgame. "Definitely scary, I think it hurt more just because it was the same ankle I rolled last week. So scared me a little bit, but once I took my breath and kind of calmed down a little bit, it ended up not being too bad." He might miss some practice time, but Mahomes is on track to face Denver in Week 10.

Chiefs WR DeAndre Hopkins erupted for 8 catches, 86 yards, and 2 TDs in a Week 9 win over Tampa Bay. After seeing a limited role in his K.C. debut, Hopkins’ usage noticeably increased against the Bucs.

The Browns are trading Edge Za'Darius Smith to the Lions for a 2025 fifth-round pick and a late-round pick swap in 2026. Smith has 5 sacks and 7 QB hits through nine games. He joins a Detroit defense that has tallied 5 sacks over three games since Edge Aidan Hutchinson went down -- including just 1 total sack over the past two weeks.

The Bengals are trading a seventh-round pick to the Bears for RB Khalil Herbert. It's much-needed depth for a Cincinnati squad that just lost RB Zack Moss to a neck injury. He's out "indefinitely," according to HC Zac Taylor.

Update: Moss is expected to miss the rest of the regular season, according to NFL Network.

Giants Edge Kayvon Thibodeaux is eligible to return from IR ahead of this week's game against the Panthers in Germany. But HC Brian Daboll told reporters Monday that he doesn't expect Thibodeaux to be activated for Week 10. The edge starter has missed the past four games following surgery to repair a wrist fracture.

Buccaneers S Antoine Winfield Jr. and slot CB Tykee Smith are active for tonight's game against the Chiefs. Both were expected to play despite their "questionable" designations.

Bucs WR Jalen McMillan (hamstring) is inactive for tonight’s game vs. the Chiefs. He injured his hamstring in Saturday’s practice, leaving him iffy for Week 10. The Bucs have a Week 11 bye. WR Sterling Shepard (hamstring) is active, joining Trey Palmer, Rakim Jarrett, Ryan Miller, and Marquez Callaway in this undermanned WR corps. TE Cade Otton is the best bet for Bucs targets tonight.

Bucs RB Bucky Irving (toe) is active for tonight's game vs. the Chiefs. He only got in a limited practice on Saturday and was listed as questionable. But Irving played well through this injury last week, totaling 84 yards on 16 touches.

Eagles WR A.J. Brown is considered "day to day" after additional testing on his injured knee, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. We'll look for more details on Brown's injury, but it sounds like he has a chance to play vs. the Cowboys on Sunday.

Falcons HC Raheem Morris labeled WR Drake London "day to day" with his hip and oblique injuries. It's the latest indication that London dodged a significant injury. He seemingly has a chance to play vs. the Saints on Sunday, but we'll keep you posted on his status throughout the week.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that a source tells him Cowboys Edge Micah Parsons "should be back" for this Sunday's game against the the Eagles. Parsons hasn't played -- or practiced -- since suffering a high ankle sprain in the Week 4 win over the Giants.

49ers RB Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) has been designated to return from IR. He'll practice with the team on Monday and remains on track to make his 2024 debut vs. the Buccaneers this weekend. We'll keep you updated on McCaffrey's status throughout the week -- and any hints about San Francisco's plans for him coming off this lengthy absence. But an active McCaffrey will very likely belong in almost all fantasy lineups.
