Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Commanders DT Jonathan Allen left Sunday's loss to the Ravens with a pectoral injury. He was ruled out before the end of the game, which doesn't seem like a good sign for his return timeline. We'll watch for further details. Phidarian Mathis and second-round rookie Jer'Zhan Newton entered the day third and fourth in playing time among Washington DTs.
Patriots RB Antonio Gibson did not perform as the starter replacing RB Rhamondre Stevenson. Gibson rushed the ball 13 times for 19 yards. He caught three passes for 24 yards as well. Stevenson may be back for the Patriots next game.
Texans RB Joe Mixon returned from his ankle injury with a big game rushing 13 times for 102 yards and a TD. He also caught 2 of 3 targets for 30 yards including a second TD. Mixon took 13 of the 25 RB touches in the game due to the blowout
Texans WR Tank Dell caught 6 of 7 targets for 77 yards and finally caught a TD with WR Nico Collins out. As long as Collins is on the sideline, Dell should be a solid fantasy contributor.
Patriots QB Drake Maye threw a beautiful pass for his first NFL TD, completing 20 of his 33 passes for 243 yards for 3 TDs and 2 INTs. He also ran for 38 yards on 5 carries. Maye played within structure to overcome a battered offensive line.
Cardinals TE Trey McBride was the Cardinals' leading receiver catching all 8 targets for 96 yards. With Marvin Harrison Jr. leaving the game with a concussion, McBride became the first option for QB Kyler Murray
Packers QB Jordan Love ended the game completing 22 of 32 passes for 258 yards. Love was on fire in the first half throwing 4 TDs and only 1 INT.
Packers WR Christian Watson caught three passes on 4 targets for 68 yards for a TD. Coming back from his ankle injury. He made an impact in the Packers’ win against the Cardinals.
Falcons LB Nate Landman is active for today's game against the Panthers. He hasn't played since Week 1, landing on IR with quad and calf injuries. He could be in for full playing time today, though, in a defense missing LB Troy Andersen (knee).
Bears WR Keenan Allen scored a pair of TDs in Sunday’s win over Jacksonville. The scores marked his first as a Bear.
Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison sustained a concussion in the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Packers and has been ruled out. It's Harrison's second documented concussion, with the first coming in December 2022 at Ohio State. We'll track Harrison's progress through the protocol this coming week.
Panthers WR Diontae Johnson (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Falcons. He was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable, but we’re expecting Johnson to be ready for a full slate of snaps today. He remains a rock-solid WR2 play.
Titans RB Tyjae Spears suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday's game vs. the Colts. He's officially questionable to return. Spears' absence will leave RB Tony Pollard in an every-down role.
Bears RB D’Andre Swift rushed 17 times for 91 yards and 1 score in Sunday's blowout win over the Jags. He's now hit 100 total yards in three straight games.
Raiders RB Zamir White (groin) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Falcons. That’ll again leave Alexander Mattison as Vegas’ lead back, with Ameer Abdullah the No. 2.
Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Steelers. He joins WR Davante Adams on the sidelines, leaving Vegas without its top two WRs. TE Brock Bowers and TE Tre Tucker are the team’s best target bets today.
Packers WR Jayden Reed is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Cardinals with an ankle injury. We'll update his status when we know more. Green Bay lost WR Dontayvion Wicks to a shoulder injury earlier in the game, leaving Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, Bo Melton, and Malik Heath at WR.
Update: Reed returned later in the second quarter.
Jaguars TE Evan Engram returned from a hamstring injury to post 10 catches for 102 yards in Week 6. His target share was a healthy 28.5%.
Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Cardinals with a shoulder injury. He was playing ahead of WR Christian Watson before exiting, catching one of three targets for nine yards. We'll update Wicks' status when we know more.
Update: Wicks has been ruled out.
Saints WR Chris Olave sustained a concussion in the first quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Bucs and won't return. It's Olave's fourth documented concussion. He's a long shot to be cleared in time for Thursday night's game vs. the Broncos.
