Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Browns RB Kareem Hunt (thigh) did not practice on Wednesday. He was also held out last Wednesday before practicing the next two days and playing vs. the Colts. Hunt should be fine for this weekend's game vs. the Seahawks -- and should play an expanded role with RB Jerome Ford (ankle) out.

Commanders WR Curtis Samuel (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. No word yet on whether he's in danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Eagles. We'll update Samuel's status again tomorrow.

Titans WR Treylon Burks (knee) was a full-go in Wednesday's practice. That puts him on track to return for Sunday's game vs. the Falcons. Burks has been out since Week 3. He totaled just six catches for 99 yards over the first three games of the season. With QB Will Levis likely under center, Burks is not a viable Week 8 fantasy play.

Jaguars WR Zay Jones (knee) remained sidelined on Wednesday. Fantasy owners shouldn't be counting on him to play vs. the Steelers this weekend.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley (elbow) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He was able to play through the hyperextended elbow last week and should be fine for Sunday's game vs. the Jets.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. We didn't notice him get banged up in Sunday night's loss to the Eagles, and there's been no word on him dealing with a significant injury. It's worth noting that Mostert was held out on the Wednesday of Week 2 before practicing on Thursday and Friday and playing on Sunday. We'll see if he gets back on the field tomorrow.

Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle (back) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. He missed a chunk of Sunday night's loss to the Eagles with back trouble but was eventually able to return. Miami needs Waddle with WR Tyreek Hill dealing with a hip injury.

Colts RB Zack Moss (elbow, heel) did not practice on Wednesday. He seemed to make it out of last week's game fine, so we're guessing this is more of a maintenance day. Check back tomorrow for another update on Moss' status for Sunday's game vs. the Saints.

Packers WR Christian Watson (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. He was knocked out late in last week's loss to the Broncos with a knee injury but will evidently be ready for Sunday's game vs. the Vikings.

Packers TE Luke Musgrave (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. The rookie was unable to return to last week's loss to the Broncos and is in danger of missing Sunday's game vs. the Vikings. We'll see if Musgrave is able to get back on the field tomorrow.

Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. HC Matt LaFleur conceded that Jones is still dealing with soreness in that hamstring -- but added that they're hoping to increase his snaps vs. the Vikings this weekend. He played just 36% of the offensive snaps in last week's loss to the Broncos. We'll see how Jones progresses throughout the week.

Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. He got banged up in Monday night's win over the 49ers but was able to play through the foot issue. We're expecting him to be out there for this weekend's game vs. the Packers but will keep you updated on his status.

Panthers RB Miles Sanders (shoulder) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. That puts him on track to play vs. the Texans this weekend. RB Chuba Hubbard had a nice game in Sanders' absence back in Week 6 and has been the more effective RB in general so far this season. But we're projecting Sanders to step back in as Carolina's lead back at least for Week 8.

Texans WR Robert Woods (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. That's worrisome with Houston coming off a bye. We'll see if Woods gets back on the field tomorrow. His absence vs. the Panthers this weekend would lock in Nico Collins, Tank Dell, and Noah Brown as the Texans' top three WRs.

Texans WR Tank Dell (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. He's on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Panthers.

As expected, Bills TE Dawson Knox (wrist) is out for Thursday night's game vs. the Bucs. We still don't have a timetable for his return. Knox's absence should mean a boost in playing time for TE Dalton Kincaid, making the rookie much easier to trust as a TE1.

Bucs QB Baker Mayfield (knee) is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game vs. the Bills. He was a full-go in Wednesday's practice, so he should be available tomorrow. Just check back around 7 pm ET to make sure Mayfield is active.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin (neck) is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game vs. the Bills. He was a full participant on Wednesday, so he should play. Just check back around 7 pm ET tomorrow to make sure Godwin is active.

Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill did not practice on Wednesday and is on the injury report with a hip. Miami media didn't spot him out on the practice field or in the locker room. "Somewhere down the line, we’re going to get Tyreek back," QB Tua Tagovailoa said, rather ominously. We'll look for more details on Hill's status, but there seems to be a real chance he misses this weekend's game vs. the Patriots.

Niners QB Brock Purdy has entered the league concussion protocol. The Athletic's Matt Barrows reports that Purdy began showing symptoms on the flight back from the Monday night loss at Minnesota. The timing obviously puts Purdy's status in question for Sunday's game against the Bengals. Sam Darnold would be in line to start if Purdy can't go. We'll track the situation throughout the week.
