Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Chargers WR Josh Palmer (knee) was held out of Wednesday's practice. He's coming off a big 5-133-0 line in the loss to the Chiefs and seemed to come out of that one fine. We're tentatively expecting Palmer to play vs. the Bears on Sunday night but will update his status again tomorrow.

Chargers TE Gerald Everett (hip) did not practice on Wednesday. He was unable to return to last week's game in Kansas City after going down and is in danger of missing Sunday night's game vs. the Bears. Everett's absence would leave TE duties to Donald Parham and Stone Smartt.

Bears RB Roschon Johnson (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Barring a setback, he should be cleared to play vs. the Chargers on Sunday night. Considering how well RB D'Onta Foreman has played over the last two weeks, Johnson figures to return in a change-of-pace, passing-down role.

Commanders LB Cody Bardon (ankle) sat out Wednesday's practice. He came away from Sunday's loss to the Giants with a walking boot on the ankle he sprained early in the game. We're betting Barton will miss Week 8 but will keep an eye on his status throughout the week. LB Jamin Davis will likely get full playing time if Barton sits, with David Mayo the next LB up.

49ers RB Christian McCaffrey (oblique) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. If playing 100% of the snaps in Monday night's game vs. the Vikings wasn't telling, here's more confirmation that the oblique isn't a concern going forward.

Eagles S Reed Blankenship (ribs) put in a full practice Wednesday for the first time since suffering his injury in Week 6. Blankenship missed the whole week of practice leading up to the Sunday night game against the Dolphins that he missed. But he appears to be in line for a Week 8 return. Expect Blankenship to start next to new teammate Kevin Byard.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (knee) was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's practice. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Sunday that Week 10 is Murray's most realistic return date, with Week 9 an outside possibility. So we're still not expecting Murray to play vs. the Ravens on Sunday. But we'll continue to keep a close eye on his progress.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (ribs, hip) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. That puts him on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Browns. Assuming he stays full the rest of the week, Metcalf can be trusted in Week 8 fantasy lineups.

Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. That should have the rookie trending toward returning for this weekend's game vs. the Browns. Charbonnet should take a few touches off RB Ken Walker's plate but would be a desperation fantasy play.

Seahawks RB Ken Walker (calf) was held out of Wednesday's practice. HC Pete Carroll suggested that Walker's absence was precautionary. He's coming off a season-high 28 touches in the win over Arizona. We'll check back in on Walker tomorrow.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. He only got in two limited practices last week before playing vs. the Cardinals. He should be fine for Sunday's game vs. the Browns, but we'll update Lockett's status again tomorrow.

Browns TE David Njoku (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. He played a season-high 96% of Cleveland's offensive snaps last week and seemed to come out of the game fine. We're expecting him to play vs. the Seahawks on Sunday.

Browns RB Kareem Hunt (thigh) did not practice on Wednesday. He was also held out last Wednesday before practicing the next two days and playing vs. the Colts. Hunt should be fine for this weekend's game vs. the Seahawks -- and should play an expanded role with RB Jerome Ford (ankle) out.

Commanders WR Curtis Samuel (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. No word yet on whether he's in danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Eagles. We'll update Samuel's status again tomorrow.

Titans WR Treylon Burks (knee) was a full-go in Wednesday's practice. That puts him on track to return for Sunday's game vs. the Falcons. Burks has been out since Week 3. He totaled just six catches for 99 yards over the first three games of the season. With QB Will Levis likely under center, Burks is not a viable Week 8 fantasy play.

Jaguars WR Zay Jones (knee) remained sidelined on Wednesday. Fantasy owners shouldn't be counting on him to play vs. the Steelers this weekend.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley (elbow) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He was able to play through the hyperextended elbow last week and should be fine for Sunday's game vs. the Jets.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. We didn't notice him get banged up in Sunday night's loss to the Eagles, and there's been no word on him dealing with a significant injury. It's worth noting that Mostert was held out on the Wednesday of Week 2 before practicing on Thursday and Friday and playing on Sunday. We'll see if he gets back on the field tomorrow.

Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle (back) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. He missed a chunk of Sunday night's loss to the Eagles with back trouble but was eventually able to return. Miami needs Waddle with WR Tyreek Hill dealing with a hip injury.

Colts RB Zack Moss (elbow, heel) did not practice on Wednesday. He seemed to make it out of last week's game fine, so we're guessing this is more of a maintenance day. Check back tomorrow for another update on Moss' status for Sunday's game vs. the Saints.
