Will Dissly Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Chargers TE Hayden Hurst (groin) is off the final injury report and will play vs. the Browns this weekend. Hurst isn’t a fantasy option, but his return clouds the playing time and target projections on TE Will Dissly. Try to not use Dissly in Week 9 fantasy lineups.

Chargers WR Ladd McConkey popped off for 111 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday’s win over New Orleans. He caught all six of his targets, good for an 18.8% target share. TE Will Dissly and RB J.K. Dobbins led the way with seven targets apiece.

Chargers TE Will Dissly (shoulder) is active for today's game vs. the Saints. TE Hayden Hurst (groin) is inactive. That keeps Dissly in play as an option for desperate fantasy managers.

Chargers TEs Will Dissly (shoulder) and Hayden Hurst (groin) are listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Saints. Dissly is coming off an 8-81-0 line last week. But between his injury and the potential return of Hurst, Dissly shouldn't be in Week 8 fantasy lineups.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (knee) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Giants. He wasn't on the injury report on Thursday or Friday but then popped up as a non-participant in Saturday's practice. With the late kickoff, Fant should not be in Week 4 fantasy lineups. TE Will Dissly (shoulder) is also questionable for Monday night, but he seems likely to play after putting in a full practice on Saturday.

Seahawks TE Will Dissly (shoulder) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Panthers. His absence is a slight boost to TE Noah Fant.

Seahawks TE Will Dissly (shoulder) is listed as doubtful for this weekend’s game vs. the Panthers. He’s seen just five targets through two weeks, so there’s minimal fantasy impact here.

7:38pm EST 12/27/22

The Seahawks placed TE Will Dissly on IR with a knee injury, ending his regular season. Dissly has averaged 2.5 targets per game this season, so his absence is just a slight boost to TE Noah Fant's fantasy value.

Seahawks TE Will Dissly (calf) is active for today’s game vs. the Panthers. He should continue splitting routes with TE Noah Fant.

Seahawks TE Will Dissly (calf) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Panthers. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and will play on Sunday, HC Pete Carroll said. Dissly should continue splitting routes with TE Noah Fant and would be a desperation fantasy play.

Seahawks TE Will Dissly (calf) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That gives him a shot to play vs. the Panthers this weekend, but we'll see how he's listed on the final injury report tomorrow.

Seahawks TE Will Dissly missed Wednesday's practice with a calf issue. Dissly isn't much of a fantasy option, but his absence vs. the Panthers this weekend would be a boost for TE Noah Fant.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (hamstring) is not listed on the final Week 9 injury report. He was a full participant in Friday’s practice after being limited the previous 2 days. Fant will continue splitting TE work with Will Dissly, leaving both guys outside TE1 territory.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's practice. We'll see how he progresses over the next few days. TE Will Dissly would become a potential fantasy spot start if Fant can't play vs. the Cardinals on Sunday.

Seahawks WR Marquise Goodwin caught both of QB Geno Smith's TD passes in Sunday's win over the Chargers, snaring 4 of 5 targets overall for 67 yards. WR Tyler Lockett led Seattle in targets (8) and receptions (7) but managed only 45 yards. QB Geno Smith threw for a mere 210 yards, with TE Will Disly (4) and RB DeeJay Dallas the only 2 other Seahawks to catch multiple passes. WR D.K. Metcalf left early with a knee injury.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith threw for 320 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's win at Detroit, his 2nd straight game of 320+ yards. Smith again favored D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, targeting them with a combined 60% of his pass attempts. Metcalf caught 7 of 10 looks for 149 yards. Lockett posted a 6-91 receiving line on 8 targets. TEs Will Dissly and Noah Fant caught the TD passes. Smith gets a tougher matchup in Week 5 (Saints). After that comes a favorable home date with Arizona.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith racked up 325 yards and 2 TDs on 32-of-44 passing in Sunday's loss to the Falcons. Smith threw 52.3% of his pass attempts at WRs D.K. Metcalf (12) or Tyler Lockett (11). No other Seahawk drew more than 4 looks. Lockett posted a 9-76 receiving line. Metcalf caught 5 balls for 64 yards and a TD. The remaining score went to TE Will Dissly.

TE Will Dissly is re-signing with the Seahawks for $24 million on a 3-year deal, according to multiple reports. It's particularly surprising money because Seattle just acquired Noah Fant in the Russell Wilson trade. The Seahawks have clearly liked Dissly's run-blocking, but the $8 million per year on his new contract suggests we shouldn't dismiss him as a passing-game piece. That said, Dissly averaged just 1.8 targets per game over the past 2 seasons. So perhaps Seattle is just wildly overpaying for a blocking TE.

The Seahawks have placed TE Will Dissly on the COVID list. He's not a player whose potential return we need to sweat for our fantasy rosters. But Dissly's absence could only help the fantasy outlook for TE Gerald Everett. Dissly played 46% of the snaps or more in each of the past 3 games and totaled 6 targets over that span.

Seahawks TE Gerald Everett was not activated from the COVID list and is out for tonight's game vs. the Rams. Will Dissly will again operate as Seattle's lead TE. He ran a route on 63% of pass plays last week, catching both of his targets for 5 yards.
