Joe Burrow Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow threw for 234 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT in Sunday's 20-point loss to the Eagles. Burrow seemed on the way to a much better passing day after going 11 for 12 on the first possession of the game. But he went just 15 of 25 the rest of the way.

ESPN's Dan Graziano hears that there's "pessimism" about Bengals WR Tee Higgins' availability for Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. Higgins was added to the injury report with a quad on Friday, limited in practice, and listed as questionable. "The Bengals are planning to go right up until game time before deciding" on Higgins' status, Graziano adds. We'll look for more updates on Higgins on Sunday morning and get Cincinnati's inactives around 11:30 am ET. His absence would mean more target potential for WR Ja'Marr Chase, WR Andrei Iosivas, and the Bengals RBs and TEs. It'd also be a significant loss for QB Joe Burrow.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow saved his Week 6 fantasy line with a 47-yard TD run in the first quarter of Sunday night's win over the Giants. But that accompanied a mere 208 yards and no TDs on 19-of-28 passing (67.9%). Those numbers come out to solid rates for Burrow, but the yardage was his lowest since the Week 1 loss to New England. And the Giants defense deserves credit.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow went off completing 30 of 39 passes for 391 yards with five TDs and one INT.. Not be outdone, Ravens QB Lamar Jackson also had a huge game going 26 of 42 for 348 yards and 4 TDs passing while adding 55 yards on the ground.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow was 29 of 38 for 324 yards and three TDs in the loss to the Commanders while targeting WR Ja'Marr Chase seven times. Chase had six catches for 119 yards and two TDs. Tee Higgins was targeted six times, including a near TD grab, but only ended with three catches for 39 yards.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow entered Sunday’s game without WR Tee Higgins (hamstring). But despite a tough matchup at Kansas City, the 27-year-old managed 258 yards, 2 TDs, and 0 INTs.

Bengals WR Tee Higgins (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Chiefs after missing practice all week. He’s not going to play. That should again leave WR Andrei Iosivas in a full-time role. He ran a route on 100% of pass plays in the opener, finishing with three catches on six targets (21% share) for 26 yards. That level of usage has him on the WR4 radar for Week 2.

Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase joined his team for practice Sunday, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. It marks the first time this summer that Chase has participated in more than individual work or walk-throughs. And Chase's return came despite no contract extension. He has been holding in throughout training camp in search of a new deal.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow (wrist) has been fully cleared for the start of training camp, HC Zac Taylor said Monday. Burrow's 2023 season ended in November with an injury to his right, throwing wrist that required surgery. He resumed throwing early this year and participated in May's OTAs.

The Athletic’s Paul Dehner Jr. sees a career-best year in store for Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase. “The position-less nature of the rest of the receiver and tight end group allows the Bengals to move Chase around more and dial up more explosive plays from different alignments,” Dehner wrote. “While his overall usage might not go up, the aggressiveness of his targets should and sets up for the three-time Pro Bowler and 2021 Offensive Rookie of the Year to enjoy his best season yet.” Last year, Chase ran 76% of his routes from out wide. His average depth of target (aDOT) sunk to a career-low 9.1 yards. Of course, Joe Burrow made only 10 appearances – his fewest since 2020.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending wrist injury in Week 11 of last season. Surgery followed for the former top pick. Now, according to NFL Network’s Bridget Condon, the Bengals are comfortable with his health outlook for 2024. Note that Burrow’s only one season removed from finishing top-five in passing yards, TDs, and completion rate. 2022 also turned up a QB4 fantasy finish (16 games).

Bengals WR Tee Higgins was not present for the start of minicamp on Tuesday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Higgins has still not signed his franchise tag and requested a trade (again) in late April.
