Week 4 DraftKings Tournament Picks

Stacks

Kyler Murray ($6,800) + Marvin Harrison ($7,500) + Elijah Higgins ($3,100)

Ownership is the only argument against this stack. And if that’s the only argument against a stack, you should play it. We can always get contrarian at other spots in our lineup.

Through three weeks, the Commanders have already allowed:

• 2 QBs to top 28 DraftKings points
• 4 WRs to top 22 DK points

Washington ranks bottom two in passing yards allowed, passing TDs allowed, and pass defense DVOA.

Playing at home with a slate-high 26.25-point implied total, this is a dream spot for Murray.

TE Trey McBride’s absence dings Murray’s upside a bit – but it makes this a more attractive stacking opportunity. Harrison should pick up extra targets. And Higgins is now in play as a cheap option at TE.

The former college WR goes 6’3, 235 pounds with 4.5 speed. He’s been targeted just four times so far this season but has caught all four for 41 yards and a score.

If you’re not comfortable with Higgins, you can use WRs Greg Dortch ($4,300) or Michael Wilson ($4,200) on Murray teams.

Joe Burrow ($6,600) + Ja’Marr Chase ($7,700) + Tee Higgins ($5,900)

After a quiet Week 1 against a quality Patriots defense, Slim Shady ... errr .. Joe Burrow has come to life the past two games. He’s racked up 582 passing yards with five TDs vs. 0 INTs over that stretch, completing 70% of his passes at 7.9 yards per attempt.

Next up is a Panthers defense that looked like the worst in the league before drawing the Raiders last week. Across Weeks 1 and 2, QBs Derek Carr and Justin Herbert combined for five passing TDs and just 10 incompletions against Carolina.

The Bengals have the slate’s second-highest implied total at 26 points.

Higgins is the sneaky stack with Burrow, coming in at 4% projected ownership. He scored just 6.9 DK points in his 2024 debut last week, but he just missed a TD and a deep ball. 

Higgins topped 28 DK points twice in 2023 and topped 26 four times in 2022.

WR Diontae Johnson ($5,600) and RB Chuba Hubbard ($5,700) are nice runbacks on Burrow stacks.

Also consider:

• C.J. Stroud ($7,000) + Nico Collins ($7,200) + Stefon Diggs ($6,600) or Dalton Schultz ($4,100)
• Andy Dalton ($5,300) + Diontae Johnson ($5,600)

Running Backs

James Conner, Cardinals ($6,500)

Conner is an excellent spot this weekend. His Cardinals are 3.5-point home favorites with a slate-high 26.25-point implied total. He gets a Commanders defense ranked 28th in run defense DVOA and 30th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to RBs.

Conner is an even better tournament play because he’s leverage off the chalky Kyler Murray. Every rushing TD that Conner scores takes away a potential TD from Murray.

I’ll have Conner in most – if not all – of my non-Murray GPP teams this week.

Aaron Jones, Vikings ($6,400)

I’m not a “Revenge Game” guy. But I could definitely see Jones playing with a little extra oomph in his return to Lambeau Field on Sunday.

He’s a good-looking play even without that variable. Jones is coming off a big 28.8-point outing in Week 3. After out-carrying RB Ty Chandler just 23 to 18 over the first two games of the season, that gap widened to 19 to 7 last week. We could certainly see the Vikings lean on Jones in more important games.

And he’s been a big part of the passing game, tallying 14 targets through three games. Only two RBs have more.

Jones’ former team sits 20th in run defense DVOA. The Packers allowed both Saquon Barkley and Jonathan Taylor to top 100 rushing yards against them in the first two games of the season.

Wide Receivers

Nico Collins, Texans ($7,200)

Collins has two things working in his favor this weekend.

First is the absence of WR Tank Dell, which should push more volume Collins’ way. He’s already averaging 9.3 targets per game on a 25% share this season.

Second is the matchup against the Jaguars, who play man coverage at one of the highest rates in the league. Collins is a man destroyer. He averaged a whopping 4.30 yards per route against man last year – second among 59 qualifying WRs. Collins is at 4.42 yards per route vs. man so far this season.

Collins topped 26 DraftKings points six times last year (including once against the Jaguars) and could be a tournament-winner again this Sunday.

Tre Tucker, Raiders ($3,600)

We’ve highlighted a bunch of high- and mid-priced targets so far. We need to save money somewhere. Tucker is a nice option.

The 2023 third-round pick blazed a 4.40-second 40 time at least year’s Combine. Six of his 19 catches last season went for 20+ yards. Tucker has the ability to pay off this price tag with one catch.

But he’s also a better volume bet than most WRs in this price range. Tucker just saw nine targets last week and will find more opportunity available on Sunday with WR Davante Adams out.

The Browns boast a strong secondary but have already allowed 10 pass plays of 20+ yards this season – tied for fifth most.

Tight Ends

Taysom Hill, Saints ($3,800)

If there’s a week for the Saints to feature Hill, this is it.

They have an important divisional matchup vs. the Falcons. RB Alvin Kamara will be playing through hip and rib injuries. And WR Chris Olave is a game-time decision after hurting his hamstring on Friday.

A thin group of weapons is even thinner heading into this one. That could lead to more opportunities for Hill in the running and passing games.
