Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Cowboys LB DeMarvion Overshown left Sunday's loss to the Eagles with a right knee injury. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that it's merely bursitis and not believed to be serious.
Cowboys LB DeMarvion Overshown left Sunday's loss to the Eagles with a right knee injury. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that it's merely bursitis and not believed to be serious.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb tallied just 21 yards on 6 receptions in Sunday's loss to the Eagles, the first game since QB Dak Prescott suffered a hamstring injury. That's not helping any fantasy teams. But Lamb did, at least, maintain strong shares of the receiving work.
Panthers RB Miles Sanders was carted off the field in the second quarter of Sunday morning's game vs. the Panthers and is officially doubtful to return with a foot/ankle injury. RB Chuba Hubbard will continue to dominate backfield work the rest of the way. Carolina has a Week 11 bye and allegedly might actually play RB Jonathon Brooks in Week 12.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is “planning” to undergo surgery on his hamstring, “pending the opinion of one final specialist.” We’ll let you know when the official word comes down, but this one appears pretty clear. Per Schefter, "the Cowboys believe it is better to address the injury now than to let it heal on its own and encounter complications later." Cooper Rush figures to start in the short term, but it wouldn’t be surprising if Dallas opts to start Trey Lance at some point. Rush sits deep in QB2 territory in our Week 10 QB rankings.
The Cowboys are placing QB Dak Prescott on IR with his hamstring injury, EVP Stephen Jones said Friday. That knocks Prescott out for at least the next four games. But the Fort Worth Star-Telegram hears that "the expected timeline is expected to trend closer to six weeks or more." The earliest Prescott could return is Week 14. A 6-week absence would have him out until Week 16. Dallas' season could be over for all intents and purposes at that point. Prescott is very droppable in 1-QB leagues without an IR spot.
Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Eagles. The team is still deciding whether Prescott will go on IR, which would cost him at least four games. QB Cooper Rush will make his first start this weekend since 2022. He owns a career 60.0% completion rate and 6.5 yards per attempt. While not the worst backup in the world, Rush is obviously a significant downgrade from Prescott for Dallas’ offense.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) is not listed on the final Week 10 injury report. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday, and will play against the Eagles on Sunday. There’s some re-injury risk with the shoulder. And Lamb will be catching passes from backup QB Cooper Rush. But he remains a strong target bet and would be tough to leave out of fantasy lineups. See where Lamb sits in the Week 10 WR Rankings.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Friday that QB Dak Prescott is trying to avoid hamstring surgery, which would presumably end his season. "He doesn't want surgery," Jones said. "He wants to be on the field and go for it. We'll just see how it goes here." Jones added that the team hasn't yet decided whether to place Prescott on IR, which would knock him out for at least four games. We'll keep you updated on the situation, but we continue to expect Prescott to miss multiple games with this injury.
Cowboys QB Dak Prescott's hamstring is partially torn off the bone, NFL Network's Jane Slater reports. "I’m told it typically takes more than a 4-week recovery," Slater adds. This injury can sometimes take 6-10 weeks to return from. Prescott is still seeking other opinions before the Cowboys decide whether to place him on IR. That seems like the most likely outcome at this point, though. And it's possible that Prescott misses more than four weeks. He's droppable in shallower fantasy leagues.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. It looks like he's on track to play vs. the Eagles this weekend. An active Lamb would be tough to bench, but he sits significantly lower than usual in our Week 10 Rankings because of the shoulder injury and the absence of QB Dak Prescott.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday that WR CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) has a "good chance" to play vs. the Eagles this weekend. We take anything Jones says with a hefty grain of salt, but this matches previous reporting that Lamb could be ready by Sunday. We'll keep a close eye on his status throughout the week. For now, we're projecting him in for Week 10.
The Panthers are trading WR Jonathan Mingo to the Cowboys. Dallas is sending a fourth-round 2025 pick for Mingo and a seventh-rounder.
Jerry Jones revealed during his weekly Tuesday radio spot that the Cowboys will place QB Dak Prescott on IR for his hamstring injury. That means the QB will miss at least the next four games.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that a source tells him Cowboys Edge Micah Parsons "should be back" for this Sunday's game against the the Eagles. Parsons hasn't played -- or practiced -- since suffering a high ankle sprain in the Week 4 win over the Giants.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb is considered "week to week" with a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's Nick Harris. "The expectation is that he could play against Philadelphia on Sunday, but he would need to have a positive week of rehab and log at least one full practice by Saturday," Harris adds. We'll keep a close eye on Lamb's progress throughout the week. Of course, between the shoulder injury and QB Dak Prescott's absence, Lamb will have a lot working against him if he does suit up on Sunday.
Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is expected to miss "multiple weeks" with the hamstring injury he suffered in Sunday's loss at Atlanta, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb injured his right shoulder in the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Falcons. He was able to return -- but aggravated the issue late in the fourth quarter. We'll update his status when we know more.
Update: Lamb returned to catch a two-point conversion late in the fourth quarter but was obviously hurting.
Cowboys QB Dak Prescott left Week 9 with a hamstring injury and was ruled out in the 4th quarter. Cooper Rush has taken over under center.
The Cowboys have ruled Edge Micah Parsons out for Sunday's game against the Falcons. That'll be the fourth straight game he has missed with the high ankle sprain. Parsons has yet to practice since that Week 4 injury. Dallas will also continue to be without CB DaRon Bland. LB Eric Kendricks is also questionable, but he played through that tag last week. I'd bet on him playing Sunday.
