Washington Commanders Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Commanders K Austin Seibert (hip) remained sidelined for Tuesday's practice. He's not looking like a good bet to kick vs. the Eagles on Thursday night. Make sure you have an alternative lined up if your waivers run tonight. K Zane Gonzalez made both of his FGs and all three XPs filling in for Seibert last week.

Commanders RB Brian Robinson (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Tuesday. He said afterward that he believes he has a "great chance" to play vs. the Eagles on Thursday night. We'll see how he's listed on the final injury report tomorrow. With the Commanders 3.5-point underdogs, Robinson will be just a RB3 if he ends up playing.

Commanders WR Terry McLaurin caught five of six targets for 113 yards. He was third in targets behind Noah Brown and Zach Ertz, but was the major downfield target for QB Jayden Daniels.

Commanders RB Austin Ekeler ran 13 times for 44 yards and two TDs. He also caught a pass for seven yards. Ekeler was the lead back with Brian Robinson sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Commanders K Austin Seibert (hip) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game vs. the Steelers. He'll be replaced by K Zane Gonzalez, who isn't a recommended fantasy play in the third-worst kicker matchup of the week.

The Commanders have ruled RB Brian Robinson Jr. out for Sunday's game against the Steelers with the hamstring injury that also cost him Week 9. Robinson managed limited practices Wednesday and Thursday after putting in limited workouts all last week and carrying a "questionable" tag into the game. But he missed Friday's practice this time around and got ruled out early.

Commanders K Austin Seibert is questionable with a right hip injury for their Week 10 game against the Steelers. Seibert has been the highest scoring fantasy kicker this year, but his status is up in the air.

Commanders RB Brian Robinson (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's practice. "All signs are pointing in the right way," HC Dan Quinn said of Robinson. "We’re really gonna push it this week and make sure he can respond in the right way." We're tentatively projecting Robinson to return for Sunday's game vs. the Steelers but will keep you posted on his status.

Commanders K Austin Seibert (hip) did not practice on Wednesday. He's been fantasy's No. 1 kicker so far this year, but fantasy managers will need to keep an eye on his status over the next few days leading up to Sunday's game vs. the Steelers.

Commanders RB Austin Ekeler did garner a season-high 11 carries with Brian Robinson Jr. inactive for Sunday's win over the Giants. But that merely tied Chris Rodriguez for the team lead, as the team split 30 RB carries among three players. Jeremy McNichols took the other 8 carries and ran 11 pass routes to Ekeler's 13, according to Pro Football Focus.

RB Chris Rodriguez matched Austin Ekeler for the team lead with 11 carries in Sunday's win over the Giants. His 52 yards beat Ekeler by 10 to lead the team, and his 4.7 yards per rush led the team. Rodriguez ran third among the group in receiving work, though, getting just 2 routes to Ekeler's 13 and McNichols' 11.

Commanders WR Noah Brown led the team in targets (6), receptions (5), and receiving yards (60) in Sunday's victory over the Giants. That marked a season high in receptions, with the yards trailing only his hail mary-driven 73 yards in Week 8 against the Bears.

Commanders WR Terry McLaurin caught just two passes for 19 yards among 3 targets in Sunday's win over the Giants. But they both went for TDs, from 1 and 18 yards out.

Commanders RB Brian Robinson (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Giants. That leaves Washington’s backfield to RBs Austin Ekeler, Jeremy McNichols, and Chris Rodriguez. Ekeler played 73% of the offensive snaps when Robinson missed Week 6 and is the best fantasy bet in the backfield.

Commanders RB Brian Robinson (hamstring) is expected to play vs. the Giants today, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Washington elevated RB Chris Rodriguez from the practice squad on Saturday, suggesting at least some concern about Robinson's status. We'll get the Commanders' inactives around 11:30 am ET, but Robinson will carry elevated risk in Week 9 fantasy lineups if he ends up playing.

Commanders RB Brian Robinson (hamstring) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Giants. It’s a new injury for Robinson, who battled a knee issue earlier this season. We haven’t heard any concern about his availability for this one, but we’ll keep you updated on the situation and get Washington’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. Robinson’s absence would leave the backfield to Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols.

Commanders QB Jayden Daniels toughed out this week with a rib injury but won with late game heroics throwing a hail mary score to WR Noah Brown. He ended completing 21-of-38 passes for 326 yards and the lone TD. He also ran eight times for 52 yards.

Commanders QB Jayden Daniels (rib) is officially active for today’s game vs. the Bears. The rookie missed the first two practices of the week but returned to a limited workout on Friday and participated in Saturday’s walkthrough. It’s possible the rib injury limits his rushing today, and the passing matchup is tough. But Daniels can be put into fantasy lineups if you were waiting on him.

"All signs point" to Commanders QB Jayden Daniels (rib) starting today's game vs. the Bears, ESPN's Adam Schefter writes. "The Commanders still will need to see how Daniels is feeling Sunday in pregame warmups before making any final determination about whether he can start," Schefter adds. Daniels is officially listed as questionable after returning to a limited practice on Friday and then participating in Saturday's walkthrough. We won't get Washington's inactives until a little before 3 pm ET today, so you should have another late-game QB rostered as insurance if you're hoping to start Daniels. The rib issue obviously adds risk to his Week 8 fantasy profile, on top of the matchup against a strong Chicago pass defense. The Bears are much more susceptible on the ground, but it's possible that Daniels' rushing is scaled back today.

Commanders QB Jayden Daniels will participate in Saturday's walkthrough and get additional treatment on his rib cartilage injury, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "They’ll see how he feels Sunday," Rapoport adds. Daniels seemingly has a legitimate chance to play against the Bears tomorrow, although we're still projecting QB Marcus Mariota to get the start. We'll keep you updated on the situation. Daniels would come with elevated risk if he does play -- but he'd be tough to leave out of fantasy lineups.
