Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

The Ravens are keeping RB Keaton Mitchell on the physically unable to perform list to begin the regular season, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. This merely confirms the expectation, as Mitchell continues to work back from a December ACL tear.

The Titans traded QB Malik Willis to the Packers for a 2025 seventh-round pick. Willis was the 86th overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft but flamed out quickly. He made three starts as a rookie, totaling 234 passing yards on 4.8 yards per attempt. He barely saw the field last year, attempting just five regular-season passes.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the Broncos are expected to move on from RB Samaje Perine. The team is reportedly trying to trade the veteran before Tuesday's deadline to cut rosters down. But Perine looks like a release candidate if a deal doesn't happen.

Mike Klis of 9News reports that the Broncos are "moving on from" WR Tim Patrick. Klis says the team is looking into trade opportunities and that Patrick is "generating strong interest" on the market. The league-wide roster cutdown deadline comes Tuesday.

Rams WR Puka Nacua (knee) returned to the practice field on Monday. He participated in individual drills in the portion of practice open to the media.

Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb has signed a four-year, $136 million deal, securing him as the second-highest-paid non-QB in NFL history. He earned the largest WR signing bonus ever at $38 million. This ends the ongoing stalemate between the Cowboys and Lamb while Lamb was holding out of training camp and the preseason.

Steelers RB Jaylen Warren (hamstring) said Monday that he expects to play Week 1. He did some light work off to the side of Monday's practice -- nine days after hurting his hamstring.

Jaguars WR Christian Kirk is feeling good and will practice this week, HC Doug Pederson said Monday, per Sports Illustrated's John Shipley. Kirk missed about a week-and-a-half with a minor calf injury.

Broncos S Brandon Jones missed much of training camp with a hamstring injury and didn't play in any of the team's three preseason contests. But he said after Sunday's finale that he "should be ready" for the regular-season opener, according to the Denver Gazette. Jones returned to practice last week after sustaining his injury on the first day of camp.

Dolphins Edge Bradley Chubb will remain on the physically unable to perform list at the start of the regular season, HC Mike McDaniel announced Monday. That's not a surprise, as Chubb continues to work back from a late December ACL tear. But it confirms that he'll miss at least the first four regular-season games.

Patriots QB Drake Maye has outplayed QB Jacoby Brissett according to HC Jerod Mayo. With Brissett suffering a right shoulder injury in yesterday's preseason along with Maye outplaying Brissett, the Patriots appear close to having Maye start the season as the starter.

WR JuJu Smith-Schuster has signed with the Chiefs after being released by the Patriots over two weeks ago. Smith-Schuster was on the Chiefs back in 2022 where he put up 78 receptions for 933 yards and 3 TDs.

Browns RB Nick Chubb is expected to open the season on the reserve/PUP list which would require him to miss the first four games of the season. Chubb tore his ACL, MCL and meniscus in September last year which required multiple surgeries. Draft Sharks currently projects Chubb to return to action in Week 8 of the regular season.

Patriots QB Jacoby Brissett took one drive in their preseason game against the Washington Commanders. The team reports that Brissett sustained a right shoulder injury and is questionable. With only 14 days until the Patriots season opener, his status is currently unknown.

There's "optimism" that WR CeeDee Lamb and the Cowboys agree to a new contract soon, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Lamb has yet to participate in training camp or preseason as he angles for a new deal. Dallas' regular-season opener is two weeks from today.

Tennessee played starters in its final preseason game Sunday afternoon. That included RB Tony Pollard taking the field first and manning the position throughout the opening drive. But Tyjae Spears took over for the second drive, with other starters still in the game. Pollard returned for a 4th-and-1 play on that drive, then Spears played a series with second-teamers before ending his day.

Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase joined his team for practice Sunday, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. It marks the first time this summer that Chase has participated in more than individual work or walk-throughs. And Chase's return came despite no contract extension. He has been holding in throughout training camp in search of a new deal.

Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) ran routes at close to full speed prior to Saturday's preseason game. Here's video from NFL Network's Bridget Condon.

Packers HC Matt LaFleur said Saturday that RBs MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) and A.J. Dillon (stinger) are "TBD" for Week 1.

49ers WR Ricky Pearsall has been sidelined with a shoulder injury since August 6. HC Kyle Shanahan said Friday that Pearsall partially dislocated a shoulder that was first injured in college. Shanahan hopes to have Pearsall available for the season opener against the Jets.
