Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb has signed a four-year, $136 million deal, securing him as the second-highest-paid non-QB in NFL history. He earned the largest WR signing bonus ever at $38 million. This ends the ongoing stalemate between the Cowboys and Lamb while Lamb was holding out of training camp and the preseason.
Adam Schefter of ESPN: "Cowboys and All-Pro WR CeeDee Lamb reached agreement today on a record four-year, $136 million deal that now makes him the second highest-paid non-QB in NFL history. The deal includes a $38 million signing bonus, the largest ever given to a wide receiver."
Lamb, an early 1.01 in PPR fantasy drafts, was starting to fall due to the ongoing dispute that put holding out into the season on the table.
This ends all of the speculation of a holdout and Lamb can comfortably be the first WR taken and even the 1.01 in upcoming fantasy drafts.
This deal will pay Lamb $34 million per year, second in the league behind Justin Jefferson, who averages $35 million per year. These are the top two yearly non-QB contracts in NFL history.
With the lack of receiving options for Dak Prescott and the Cowboys, Lamb will be utilized more than ever in the receiving game as a dynamic slot player.
He had 181 targets last season and should see similar numbers this year.
