Zack Moss Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

RB Zack Moss led the Bengals in carries, rushing yards, and backfield targets in Sunday's loss to the Patriots. His 9 carries tripled Chase Brown's total, accounting for 75% of the team's RB rushes in a quiet offensive performance. Moss ran well on that light work, with his 44 yards coming out to 4.9 per rush. Brown tallied just 11 yards on his three rushes. Brown caught all three of his targets for 12 yards, while Moss tallied 2 receptions for 17 yards on 4 targets. He also ran for the team's lone TD from 5 yards out in the third quarter.

Bengals RBs Chase Brown and Zack Moss appear headed for a 50/50 backfield split. After Brown took the majority of first-team snaps early in camp, the expectation has shifted to more of a split backfield, like most expected.

Bengals RB Chase Brown has been taking the majority of first-team snaps at RB for the first few days of camp, per Charlie Clifford.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow (wrist) has been fully cleared for the start of training camp, HC Zac Taylor said Monday. Burrow's 2023 season ended in November with an injury to his right, throwing wrist that required surgery. He resumed throwing early this year and participated in May's OTAs.

Bengals RB Chase Brown spent much of the offseason training with independent receiver coach Drew Lieberman. Brown and Lieberman worked on everything from the fundamentals of catching the football to the finer points of route running. Lieberman was blown away by the progress Brown made. “I’ve never seen a transformation like it,” he said.

NFL Network reports that the Bengals are releasing RB Joe Mixon. This doesn't come as a huge surprise, given the annual reports of it being possible. At the same time, Cincinnati has also agreed to a two-year deal with Zack Moss. The former Colt figures to share the backfield with 2023 fifth-round pick Chase Brown. We'll head toward summer assuming Moss will get the larger share of the workload. But his $4.5 million salary for 2024 doesn't necessarily guarantee him a "lead" role. Mixon, meanwhile, is coming off a rebound season and should get a shot elsewhere. We'll see whether the release knocks Mixon further below his RB27 Underdog Fantasy ADP. He's still worth a look in that range of best ball drafts but adds risk as long as he's without a team. Moss should settle into low-RB2 range, while Brown probably should be more of a low RB3. Check our best ball rankings for updates.

Colts RB Zack Moss (forearm) is active for tonight’s game vs. the Texans. It’ll be his first action since Week 15. Moss is just a DFS flier but figures to eat into RB Jonathan Taylor’s workload at least a bit.

Colts RB Zack Moss (forearm) is listed as questionable for Saturday night’s game vs. the Texans. He put in full practices on Wednesday and Thursday, so we’re expecting him to play. Moss isn’t much of a fantasy option but figures to siphon at least a few touches from RB Jonathan Taylor.

Colts RB Zack Moss (forearm) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. That should ensure another big workload for RB Jonathan Taylor, who handled 18 carries and one target in last week's loss to the Falcons.

Colts RB Zack Moss (forearm) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. He's not a Week 17 fantasy option, but his return could put a dent in RB Jonathan Taylor's workload vs. the Raiders.

Colts RB Zack Moss (forearm) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game vs. the Falcons. That leaves only RBs Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson behind Jonathan Taylor. JT carries some added risk coming off his thumb injury -- but there's a good chance that he dominates work against Atlanta. He's climbing the Week 16 RB Rankings.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (thumb) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Falcons. Considering he’s coming back from a thumb injury, Taylor should be ready for a full workload – barring any kind of ball-security issues during the game. That’s especially true with RB Zack Moss (forearm) having missed practice all week. He’s listed as questionable.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (thumb) was listed as a full participant on Wednesday's injury report. The team didn't actually practice, so it's an estimation. But this seemingly puts Taylor on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Falcons. RB Zack Moss (foreman) did not practice on Wednesday. We'll update this backfield again on Thursday.

Colts RB Zack Moss "plans to try to play" Sunday against the Falcons, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. X-rays on the shoulder Moss injured against the Steelers on Saturday were negative, but he'll still need to progress through the practice week to be ready. We'll certainly be watching for details on that progress. In the meantime, Trey Sermon is worth a look on the waiver wire. He worked a little ahead of Tyler Goodson after Moss went down in Week 15 and would be the preferred fantasy option if Moss can't go. Don't look to Sermon as a strong fantasy play, however.

X-rays on Colts RB Zack Moss' right arm came back clean, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. That's significant after Moss broke that arm in training camp. Moss was having trouble gripping the football, per Garafolo, which is why he was unable to return to Saturday's win over the Steelers. We'll look for more information on Moss' status going forward. RB Jonathan Taylor (thumb) also has a chance to return for Week 16. If both Moss and Taylor are out, Indianapolis would be down to RBs Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson.

Colts RB Zack Moss injured his right arm at the end of a 16-yard TD catch in the second quarter of Saturday's game vs. the Steelers. This is the same arm that Moss broke back in training camp. He's officially questionable to return to this one. His absence leaves Indianapolis with RBs Tyler Goodson and Trey Sermon. Stay tuned for an update on Moss' status.

Update: Moss has been ruled out.
