Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Giants. He was a full participant in Thursday’s practice but limited on Wednesday and Friday. We’re expecting Evans to play on Sunday, but it sounds like his snaps could be scaled back at least a little. “We’ll play him as long as he’s healthy and fresh and needs to be in there,” HC Todd Bowles said Friday. “But we’ll get him out when we have to.” Consider Evans a risk/reward WR2 in this plus matchup.
Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) was upgraded to full participation in Thursday's practice. He's on track to play against the Giants this weekend, although OC Liam Coen said Thursday that he's not sure yet if Evans will be a full-go. "It’s just gonna be hard to tell … how much is he gonna be able to go, if he can go? I don’t know," Coen said. We'll look for further updates on Evans' status for this one. For now, he's shaping up as a risk/reward WR2 play.
Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) is "planning to play" vs. the Giants this weekend, according to insider Jordan Schultz. Evans has been out since Week 7 but will be returning to a Chris Godwin-less WR corps. That gives Evans a chance to be big volume the rest of the way. He checks in 10th in our current Week 12 WR Rankings. We'll track his practice participation throughout the week and looks for any reports on Tampa's plans for his snaps in his first game back.
Buccaneers TE Cade Otton delivered 8 catches, 77 yards, and 1 TD against Kansas City. He saw a huge 35.4% target share – easily the best on the team.
Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield completed 37-of-50 passes for 330 yards and three TDs. He also had two INTs on the day, but showed that he can produce even without WRs Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
Bucs WR Mike Evans (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Saints. He’s expected to be out through Tampa Bay’s Week 11 bye. With WR Chris Godwin (knee) out for the season, the Bucs are down to Jalen McMillan, Trey Palmer, and Sterling Shepard as their top three WRs. McMillan is our favorite among the three, but you’d ideally avoid this situation in Week 8 season-long lineups.
Bucs WR Mike Evans is expected to miss the next three games with his hamstring injury, HC Todd Bowles said. Tampa Bay gets the Falcons, Chiefs, and 49ers the next three weeks before a Week 11 bye. It sounds like Evans has a good chance to be back for Week 12.
Bucs WR Mike Evans re-injured his right hamstring in the second quarter of Monday night's game vs. the Ravens and will not return. Evans caught a 25-yard TD on Tampa's first possession but aggravated the hamstring injury that limited him in practice this week on another deep shot in the second quarter. We'll look for updates on Evans and track his status this week, leading up to Sunday's game vs. the Falcons.
Bucs WR Mike Evans (hamstring) is not listed on the final injury report for Monday night's game vs. the Ravens. He only got in a limited practice on Saturday but is evidently in no danger of missing the Monday nighter. Evans still carries some added risk with the hamstring issue, but he still belongs in most fantasy starting lineups.
Bucs WR Mike Evans (hamstring) missed his second straight practice on Friday. His availability for Monday night's game vs. the Ravens is up in the air. We'll see if Evans practices on Saturday and then how he's listed on the final injury report.
Bucs WR Mike Evans (hamstring) did not practice on Thursday. HC Todd Bowles said Evans "tweaked" his leg in the Week 6 win over the Saints but is "getting better." He has an extra day to get ready for Monday night's game vs. the Ravens. We'll see if Evans gets back on the field tomorrow.
