Samaje Perine Injury History & Analysis

Former Chiefs RB Samaje Perine has signed back with his former Cincinnati Bengals team. The deal is worth up to $3.8 million. Perine likely won't be much of a threat to current starter Chase Brown, but could factor in his old pass catching role.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco worked as the clear lead rusher in his second game back from a fibula fracture Sunday night. He rushed 14 times vs. five for Kareem Hunt and one for Samaje Perine. None found much success. Pacheco also led the RBs in targets but saw pass routes split more evenly.

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) is inactive for today’s game vs. the 49ers. He was off the final injury report, so Kansas City is just opting to roll with RBs Kareem Hunt, Carson Steele, and Samaje Perine.

That'll again leave Kansas City's backfield to Kareem Hunt, Samaje Perine, and Carson Steele. Hunt wound up leading the way last week and is the best Week 5 fantasy bet.
