Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) Planned Return After Bye Week

49ers RB Christian McCaffrey is on track to return on November 10th against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 10. There have been no setbacks with his Achilles tendinitis and the 49ers are planning for him to return in about three weeks.

49ers HC Kyle Shanahan labeled RB Jordan Mason "day to day" with the sprained AC joint he suffered in his left shoulder in Thursday night's win over the Seahawks. Mason has another nine days to heal up for a Week 7 showdown with the Chiefs. It sounds like he has a good chance to be ready for that one. We'll track his status throughout next week.

The 49ers believe RB Jordan Mason is dealing with an AC sprain in his left shoulder, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. The injury "is not considered serious, but he will undergo further testing today," Schefter adds. It sounds like Mason at least has a chance to be ready for Week 7's game vs. the Chiefs. We'll look for further updates on his status. Rookie Isaac Guerendo will likely operate as San Francisco's lead back if Mason misses time.

49ers RB Christian McCaffrey has been dealing with tendinitis in both Achilles, according to NBC Sports Bay Area's Matt Maiocco. It's still unclear when he started having these issues (it was reported as a calf injury all August) but helps explain why McCaffrey has had so much trouble getting on the field. McCaffrey is expected to ramp up his rehab this week, although it sounds like Week 10 is his likeliest date to return to game action.
