Rams RB Malcolm Brown (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. Brown played 28% of Los Angeles' offensive snaps last week, finishing with 2 carries and 1 target. His absence vs. the Cardinals this weekend would be a very slight boost for RBs Darrell Henderson and Cam Akers.

Rams HC Sean McVay announced Wednesday that QB Matt Stafford is in the concussion protocol. The team reportedly discovered symptoms earlier this week, and Stafford was placed in the protocol on Tuesday. The timing here challenges Stafford's availability for this weekend's game vs. the Cardinals. If he's not cleared by Sunday, QB John Wolford will get the start. He went 22-of-38 (58%) for 231 yards (6.1 YPA), 0 TDs and 1 INT in a win over the Cardinals back in 2020, adding 56 yards on 6 carries.

Ravens WR Demarcus Robinson (groin) is active for tonight's game vs. the Saints. WR DeSean Jackson is also active, joining Robinson, Devin Duvernay and James Proche in the WR corps.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp enjoyed a huge game in Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers, despite coming off an ankle sprain late in their Week 8 loss. Kupp racked up 8-127-1 receiving on 9 targets in a game that saw the Rams throw for only 165 yards in all. WRs Allen Robinson and Van Jefferson tied for 2nd with 5 targets apiece. Robinson caught 3 for 24 yards. Jefferson went without a catch. TE Tyler Higbee went catchless on 1 target.

Ravens WR Demarcus Robinson (groin) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Saints. He was added to the injury report on Friday and did not practice on Saturday, so he seems truly iffy for this one. Robinson tallied season highs with 8 targets, 6 catches and 64 yards last week but wasn't a bankable Week 9 fantasy play even before this injury. His absence would leave the Ravens with WRs Devin Duvernay, James Proche, Tylan Wallace and DeSean Jackson, who's expected to make his debut in this one.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) is not listed on the final Week 9 injury report. He went from no practice on Wednesday to a limited workout on Thursday to full participation on Friday. Kupp still carries a bit more risk than usual, but he remains a must-start in season-long lineups vs. the Bucs on Sunday.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He's seemingly on track to play vs. the Bucs this weekend, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. HC Sean McVay said earlier this week that he expects Kupp to play vs. the Bucs this weekend, but we'll continue to keep a close eye on his status over the next few days.

Rams HC Sean McVay said Monday that he expects WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) to play vs. the Bucs this weekend. Kupp has some "tissue swelling" but no structural damage to that ankle, per McVay. We'll keep a close eye on Kupp's status throughout the week, but fantasy owners can tentatively expect to have him in Week 9 lineups.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp is considered "day to day" with a "regular, low-ankle sprain" suffered late in the Week 8 loss to San Francisco, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "He's got a chance to play [vs. the Bucs this weekend,] but you need to see how it responds, how swollen it gets, how it takes to rehab," Rapoport adds. "It seems like overall, the Rams star receiver is going to be fine, but we need to see how the week goes before we determine his availability." We'll keep a close eye on Kupp's status throughout the week. His absence would obviously be a big blow to the Rams offense, while leaving behind lots of volume for Allen Robinson, Tyler Higbee, Van Jefferson and Ben Skowronek.

Darrell Henderson led Rams RBs in snaps played in Sunday's loss to the 49ers. But Ronnie Rivers paced the backfield in carries and targets. He managed just 21 yards on his 8 carries (2.6 per rush) and 15 yards on 4 catches, among 4 targets. We'd bet on rookie RB Kyren Williams getting significantly involved once he's ready. We also wouldn't be surprised to see the Rams pick up a RB ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline. Henderson rushed only 4 times for 16 yards and drew 2 targets (2 catches, 14 yards) against San Francisco. It's pretty clear that Sean McVay doesn't believe in him as a primary RB. Malcolm Brown mixed in for 5 carries (10 yards) against the 49ers.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp appeared to suffer an ankle injury late in Sunday’s loss to the 49ers. He was able to walk off the field, but there’s a chance he’ll miss time going forward. We’ll keep an eye out for an update.

Update: HC Sean McVay did not have an update after the game. Former NFL head team Dr. David Chao believes Kupp is dealing with a "mild" inversion ankle sprain, based on video of the injury, and believes he has a good chance to be ready for Week 9.

Rams TE Tyler Higbee suffered a neck injury in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game vs. the 49ers and is questionable to return. Stay tuned for an update.

Update: Higbee returned in the 2nd quarter.

Rams RB Kyren Williams (ankle) has been designated to return from IR. He went down with a high-ankle sprain in the opener that required surgery. He's now eligible to practice, but HC Sean McVay said that Williams won't play vs. the 49ers this weekend. That should keep RB Darrell Henderson in the lead role. We'll continue to monitor Williams' progress. He's worth stashing in deep fantasy leagues.

Niners QB Jimmy Garoppolo racked up 303 yards and 2 TDs (plus an INT) in Sunday's lopsided loss to the Chiefs. He went 25-of-37 passing (67.6%, 8.2 yards per attempt) before turning it over to QB Brock Purdy to close out the game. WR Brandon Aiyuk led the team in targets (11) and catches (7), tallying 82 yards. TE George Kittle caught 6 of 9 targets for 98 yards and a TD. WR Ray-Ray McCloud snagged the other TD, among 4 catches for 65 yards. WR Deebo Samuel caught 5 of his 7 looks for 42 yards, adding 2 yards on his lone carry. San Francisco gets a Week 8 rematch with a Rams team it hit up for 327 total yards in a 24-9 Week 4 victory. The Rams have been a tough scoring matchup for QBs and TEs but slightly positive for WRs this season. Samuel has gone over 90 receiving yards and 100 total yards in 4 straight regular-season meetings with the Rams.

Rams WR Cooper caught 7 of 8 targets for 80 yards in Sunday's win over the Panthers. He led the team in each of those categories, in a game that saw QB Matthew Stafford throw for 253 yards and 1 score. That TD went to WR Allen Robinson, who posted a 5-63-1 receiving line on 6 targets. WR Ben Skowronek and WR Brandon Powell tied for 3rd at 5 targets. Skowronek played 19 more snaps and ran 11 more routes than Powell.

Niners QB Jimmy Garoppolo threw for 296 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTs on 29-of-41 passing in Sunday's 28-14 loss to the Falcons. That's a pass-attempt total he matched just once all of last year, and it's more than 10 attempts higher than any previous appearance this season. A Week 7 meeting with the Chiefs could boost passing volume as well.

Rams DL Aaron Donald (foot) is active for today's game against the Panthers. He belongs in most IDP lineups.

2:40pm EDT 10/16/22

Rams TE Tyler Higbee (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Panthers. He got in just 2 limited practices this week and was listed as questionable, so there’s a bit more risk here than usual. But Higbee still sits inside the top 7 TEs across scoring formats in the Week 6 Rankings.

2:40pm EDT 10/16/22

Rams WR Cooper Kupp (foot) is active for today’s game vs. the Panthers. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and was listed as questionable, so it’s fair to assume that Kupp won’t be quite at 100% today. But he remains a must-start in season-long fantasy leagues.
