The Giants are applying the franchise tag to RB Saquon Barkley. It's not yet clear whether it's the exclusive version, which would keep Barkley from being able to negotiate with other teams. But the tag effectively keeps him with the Giants. It's unlikely another franchise would give two first-round picks for the right to sign Barkley. Expect the star RB to stick with the team that allowed him to finish fifth at the position in PPR points per game this past season.

The Eagles promoted Brian Johnson to OC. The 36-year-old has spent the past 2 seasons as Philly's QB coach, helping QB Jalen Hurts develop into 1 of the game's best. While this will be Johnson's first NFL OC gig, he does have 4 years of OC experience at the college level (2012-2013 at Utah, 2017 at Houston and 2020 at Florida). With Johnson's promotion and HC Nick Sirianni back, there should be plenty of continuity for the Eagles' offense in 2023, despite the loss of OC Shane Steichen.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts completed 15 of 25 attempts for 121 passing yards in addition to rushing for 39 yards and scoring a TD on the ground in Sunday's NFC Championship win vs. the 49ers. Next for Hurts is a showdown against the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII. The Chiefs' defense ranks as the 2nd-best matchup in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley recorded 9 carries for 61 yards and 2 catches for 21 yards in Saturday's Divisional Round loss vs. the Eagles. Though the Giants' season ended in a disappointing fashion, Barkley has a lot to be happy about entering free agency this offseason. The Pro Bowl back played in 16 games for the 1st time since his rookie season in 2018 and set a career-high in rushing yards (1,312) in 2022. The soon-to-be 26-year-old will be a dynamic fantasy asset regardless of what team he suits up for in 2023 and beyond. He said after Saturday's game that “everyone knows I want to be a Giant for life," taking away any potential mystery around his intentions. We'll see if his desire to return to New York comes to fruition in the coming weeks.

Eagles WR A.J. Brown roped 3 of 6 targets for 22 yards in Saturday's Divisional Round win vs. the Giants. Teammate WR DeVonta Smith led the team in receiving in this contest, corraling 6 of 10 targets for 61 yards and 1 TD. TE Dallas Goedert also found the end zone in addition to 5 receptions and 58 yards of his own. QB Jalen Hurts was extremely efficient as a passer in this contest, but the game plan was considerably more focused on the rushing attack. Fantasy managers who roster Brown in playoff contests will hope for better luck next week.

Eagles RB Kenneth Gainwell tallied 112 yards on 12 carries with a 35-yard TD run in Saturday's Divisional Round win vs. the Giants. Teammate RB Miles Sanders ran the ball 17 times for 90 yards. The Eagles' rushing attack collectively cranked out 3 of the team's 5 total TDs and 268 total rushing yards, their 2nd-highest total in a game all season. The big takeaway here is that Sanders had his first game of over 65 rushing yards since Week 14. Hopefully, this is a sign that the unfortunate skid of production he'd seen over the last month is over. We'll find out who the Eagles' opponent will be in the NFC Championship game tomorrow night.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts completed 16 of 24 pass attempts for 154 yards and 2 TDs in Saturday's Divisional Round win vs. the Giants. Hurts also added 34 rushing yards and 1 TD on the ground. The dual threat looked much better and healthier than he had in Week 18 vs. this same Giants' defense. The playoff bye week seems to have been what Hurts needed to give his ailing right shoulder some rest. Whichever team the Eagles end up playing next will certainly have their hands full if Hurts and company can replicate the dominant success from this Divisional round game.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts did not appear on the team's initial injury report on Tuesday ahead of Saturday's Divisional Round game vs. the Giants. Considering the dual-threat QB missed 2 games due to a right shoulder injury sustained in Week 15 vs. the Bears, his lack of being on the report is tremendous news. Hurts last played against the Giants in Week 18 and posted modern numbers. Hopefully, with some rest behind him, we'll see production closer to what Hurts did in Week 14 with 77 rushing yards and 30.4 fantasy points. A presumably healthy Hurts is easily a top-3 QB in playoff fantasy contests.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday that the Giants held long-term contract talks with RB Saquon Barkley during the season. Per Rapoport, the team wants Barkley and Daniel Jones to return for 2023. (No surprise there.) The franchise tag remains likely to be used on 1 of those guys. Per Spotrac, New York currently has the 3rd most cap-space league-wide (~54$ million).

Giants RB Saquon Barkley totaled 9 carries for 53 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's Wild Card win vs. the Giants. The savvy vet also caught 5 passes on 6 targets for 56 yards as a receiver in the contest. Fantasy managers who pegged the Giants as an upset victor with Barkley in their playoff lineups are feeling pretty good about themselves after this one. Up next for Barkley and the Giants is a showdown vs. an Eagles defense that ranks as the 13th-best matchup for RBs in adjusted fantasy points allowed this season.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley is a healthy scratch for today's game vs. the Eagles. QB Daniel Jones is active but isn't expected to play in this game that means nothing to New York.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (right shoulder) is active for today’s game vs. the Giants. He reportedly threw the ball well in practice, and the team isn’t worried about him re-injuring that shoulder. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported on Saturday, though, that the Eagles will consider pulling Hurts from this game if they build a big lead. The Eagles are currently 16.5-point favorites vs. this Giants team that’s resting starters.

Bucs WR Julio Jones (knee, illness) is inactive for today's game vs. the Falcons. The rest of Tampa's regulars are active, but we're not expecting them to play much in this meaningless game.

Jets TE C.J. Uzomah (ankle) is inactive for today's game vs. the Dolphins. His absence is a boost to TE Tyler Conklin's Week 18 fantasy value.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo confirms that Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (shoulder) is expected to play vs. the Giants tomorrow. "He threw the ball extremely well in practice this week, and they're confident that he won't re-injure himself," Garafolo says. He adds that the "ideal scenario" is that the Eagles build a big lead and are able to pull Hurts from tomorrow's game. That's the cap on Hurts' Week 18 fantasy ceiling -- but he remains a strong play in season-long leagues.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (right shoulder) practiced in a limited fashion all week and is officially questionable for Week 18 vs. the Giants. The Eagles could secure the #1 seed in the NFC playoffs with a win on Sunday. The sense of urgency to win might be enough to see Hurts back under center for the first time since Week 15. Hurts ranks 3rd among QBs in rushing yards per game (54.9), and last he played the Giants in Week 14, he posted 30.4 points. We consider him a top-5 QB in Week 18 if he gets the green light.

Eagles HC Nick Sirianni said Friday morning that QB Jalen Hurts is "trending in the right direction" for playing Sunday against the Giants. Don't be surprised if he carries a "questionable" tag on the final practice report. We'll certainly be watching Hurts' status right up until his game's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. Let's hope fantasy football managers get clarity before then, though.

The New York Post's Ryan Dunleavy reports that the Giants are expected to sit "key starters" in Sunday's regular-season finale vs. the Eagles. New York is locked into the NFC's #6 seed and has nothing to play for. We've been projecting QB Daniel Jones and RB Saquon Barkley to sit all week. Look for QB Tyrod Taylor to get the start and for RBs Matt Breida and Gary Brightwell to handle backfield duties. WRs Darius Slayton, Isaiah Hodgins and Richie James could also be held out or be pulled early in Sunday's game.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (right shoulder) was limited in practice again on Thursday. It's still unclear at this point if he'll be named the starter for Week 18 vs. the Giants. Friday's injury report will give us a better idea of what to expect. We'll let you know how this shakes out tomorrow.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (right shoulder) practiced in a limited fashion on Wednesday. Hopefully, the superstar will be able to suit up in Week 18 vs. the Giants. Hurts has not played since injuring his shoulder in Week 15 vs. the Bears. We'll be sure to keep up with this storyline as the week unfolds. Check back tomorrow for an update.
