Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Commanders RB Brian Robinson (knee) is active for today’s game against the Panthers. He was listed as questionable after a limited week of practice, so it’s safe to assume Robinson still isn’t at 100%. But he’s still worth getting into most fantasy lineups in this excellent spot vs. Carolina’s 32nd-ranked RB defense.
Panthers TE Tommy Tremble (concussion, back) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Commanders. That should mean a significant role for TE Ja’Tavion Sanders, who caught five of seven targets for 49 yards with Tremble out last week.
Panthers WR Diontae Johnson (ankle, ribs, hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Commanders. He's been playing through the ankle issue for the past two weeks but had the rib and hamstring added to Friday’s injury report. There’s elevated risk here, but Johnson would be tough to bench against Washington’s 23rd-ranked WR defense.
Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Rams. The Raiders will again roll with WRs Tre Tucker, D.J. Turner, Kristian Wilkerson, and Alex Bachman. Try to avoid that group in fantasy lineups. TE Brock Bowers should be in for a ton of targets again.
Raiders RB Zamir White (groin) is active for today’s game vs. the Rams. It’s entirely unclear how backfield touches will be divvied between White, Alexander Mattison, and Ameer Abdullah. Try to avoid the situation in Week 7 fantasy lineups.
Rams WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Raiders. He got in three limited practices this week, but the team is wisely being cautious with his return from this significant ankle injury. We’re expecting Kupp to play next week. His absence again leaves Jordan Whittington, Tutu Atwell, and Demarcus Robinson as the Rams’ top three WRs. See where they land in the Week 7 WR Rankings.
Browns QB Deshaun Watson injured his right leg in the second quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Bengals. It's Dorian Thompson-Robinson -- not Jameis Winston -- active as Cleveland's backup today. We'll update Watson's status when we know more.
Update: Watson has been ruled out with an Achilles. This has the look of a season-ending injury, but we'll update Watson's status when we know more.
Bills WR Curtis Samuel suffered a shoulder in the first quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Titans. He's questionable to return. We'll update Samuel's status when we know more.
Update: Samuel has been ruled out.
Lions RB David Montgomery is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. Vikings with a knee injury. We'll update his status when we know more. Montgomery's absence should mean big volume for RB Jahmyr Gibbs.
Update: Montgomery returned in the second quarter.
Douglas only had 3 targets, catching two for 14 yards against the Jaguars. He is just a week removed from his six cath, 92 yard game with a TD last week. Douglas’ snap count was down with the Patriots running more 12 personnel, so Douglas may be a volatile play going forward.
Rookie Patriots QB Drake Maye impressed with an early TD drive in London. He ended the game completing 26-of-37 passes for 276 yards and 2 TDs. He also ran three times for 18 yards.
Jaguars RB Tank Bigsby ran 26 times for 118 yards and two TDs. He was the clear lead back with RB Travis Etienne out handling 26 RB touches compared to D’Ernest Johnson’s 12.
Rookie Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. caught all 5 targets for 89 yards and a TD. He also had two carries for 2 yards. His beautiful 58-yard TD catch showcased the rookies upside, and he will be the Jaguars WR1 moving forward.
Giants DL Dexter Lawrence (hip) and Edge Brian Burns (groin) are active for today's game against the Eagles. The Giants' DST has performed well lately and carries upside against a Philly offense that hasn't played anywhere near its peak this season.
Dolphins LB David Long (knee) is active for today’s game against the Colts. He remained limited throughout the practice week despite coming off a Week 6 bye. Long carries plenty of upside but also some risk for IDP lineups.
Browns LB Jordan Hicks is active for today’s game against the Bengals. It’ll mark his return after two games down, but Hicks finished the week with a full Friday practice. He should be fine for planned usage in IDP leagues.
Bills RB Ray Davis (calf) is active for today’s game vs. the Titans. He hurt his calf near the end of last week’s game and wound up questionable on the final injury report for this one. The rookie built momentum with a strong Week 6 showing. But between the calf issue and RB James Cook’s return today, we’d try not to use Davis in Week 7 fantasy lineups.
Falcons S Justin Simmons is active for today’s game against the Seahawks. A hamstring injury that rendered him questionable after just two limited practices this week adds risk. But there’s also upside to the matchup. Seattle has supplied more fantasy points to opponent DBs than any other offense.
Browns RB Nick Chubb (knee) is officially active for today’s game vs. the Bengals. It’ll be his first live action since his September 2023 multi-ligament knee injury. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported this morning that Chubb is expected to get a “decent workload” – but that exactly how many carries he gets won’t be determined until the team sees how he’s feeling during the game. We’d try not to use Chubb in Week 7 fantasy lineups.
Titans CB L’Jarius Sneed is inactive for today’s game against the Bills. That’s not surprising after he missed practice with a quad injury all week. Missing their lead CB obviously hurts the Tennessee defense. Buffalo’s outside WRs stand to benefit. We’ll see exactly what playing time looks like among that group, though, in the first game after the Amari Cooper trade.
