Los Angeles Rams Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Rams TE Tyler Higbee (neck) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday. We'll see if he can make it back for this weekend's game vs. the Commanders, but Higbee would not be a recommended TE1 play. He has just three top-12 fantasy finishes all season.

Rams WR Tutu Atwell (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday. He's unlikely to be cleared in time for this weekend's game vs. the Commanders, which would leave Demarcus Robinson as Los Angeles' No. 3 WR. That matchup against the league's worst WR defense would make Robinson worth a look in DFS and deep season-long fantasy leagues.

Raiders WR Davante Adams (illness) did not practice on Wednesday and is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game vs. the Chargers. Guys almost always play through illnesses, but we'll look for more information on Adams' status and get Vegas' inactives around 7 pm ET tomorrow.

Rams WR Tutu Atwell is in the concussion protocol, according to The Athletic's Jourdan Rodrigue. We'll track Atwell's progress through the protocol this week, but he's unlikely to be cleared in time for Sunday's game vs. the Commanders. That'd leave Demarcus Robinson as Los Angeles' No. 3 WR -- and a potential deep-league flier against Washington's 31st-ranked WR defense.

Rams WR Tutu Atwell left Sunday's game vs. the Ravens to be checked for a concussion. We haven't seen it confirmed that Atwell is in the protocol, but he likely is after not returning to the game. Atwell's absence helped lead to a whopping 10 targets for WR Demarcus Robinson. He caught three for 46 yards and a score. With a Week 15 matchup vs. the Commanders on tap, Robinson could be in play as a deep-league fantasy play if Atwell is out.

Tams edge players Byron Young (knee) and Michael Hoecht (knee) are active for today's game against the Ravens. Both guys turned up questionable but are available as low-level IDP options if you were hoping to use them.

Rams TE Tyler Higbee (neck) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Ravens. That leaves L.A. with TEs Hunter Long and Davis Allen. Neither is a fantasy option. Higbee’s absence figures to leave a few extra targets for WRs Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp.

Rams WR Puka Nacua (shoulder) is not listed on the final Week 14 injury report. He practiced all week, including full practices on Thursday and Friday. It doesn’t look like the AC joint sprain he suffered last weekend will be a problem in Sunday’s game vs. the Ravens.

The Falcons have ruled LB Nate Landman (knee) out for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Andre Smith looks like the next guy up, but we wouldn't go looking for a down-the-roster Atlanta LB in any format at this point in the fantasy season. Atlanta also ruled out DT David Onyemata (ankle). Onyemata and Landman hold the two best Pro Football Focus run-defense grades among Falcons front-seven players this season. So their absences can only help the matchup for Bucs RB Rachaad White. CB A.J. Terrell (concussion) and CB Jeff Okudah (ankle) are questionable for the game.

Rams TE Tyler Higbee (neck) is listed as doubtful for this weekend’s game vs. the Ravens. That leaves L.A. with TEs Hunter Long and Davis Allen. Neither is a fantasy option. Higbee’s absence figures to mean a few extra targets to go around for WRs Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp.

Rams WR Puka Nacua (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He sprained his AC joint last weekend but is fully expected to play vs. the Ravens this weekend.

Rams TE Tyler Higbee (neck) did not practice on Wednesday. He suffered a stinger in last week's win over the Browns and is in some danger of missing Sunday's game vs. the Ravens. Higbee, of course, should not be in your Week 14 fantasy plans against the league's sixth-ranked TE defense.

Rams WR Puka Nacua sustained an AC joint sprain Sunday against the Browns, HC Sean McVay told reporters Monday. The Athletic's Jordan Rodrigue reports the "team may be careful with rest early in the week" but that it "sounds like" they expect Nacua to play in Week 14. We'll obviously track the rookie's status throughout the week.

Rams WR Puka Nacua injured his ribs and shoulder on a diving catch in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Browns. He's officially questionable to return. Stay tuned for an update.

Update: Nacua returned for the start of the second half.

Rams RB Kyren Williams returned from IR in Week 12. You might say he did so with a bang. Handling 16 carries, the Notre Dame product tallied 143 yards – the second-highest mark of his career. He added a 6-61-2 receiving line on an 18.1% target share. A positive matchup with Arizona helped. But it’s clear Williams is back near 100% coming off an ankle injury. Also note: Royce Freeman mixed in for 13 carries, 77 yards, and 1 score. So Williams doesn’t look like a true workhorse as we advance. The next two weeks turn up difficult matchups vs. Cleveland and Baltimore.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero hears that Rams RB Kyren Williams will return as the lead back vs. Arizona today but that RB Royce Freeman will stay involved. "They wanna be careful about not overworking" Williams, Pelissero says. "Look for a roughly 2-to-1 ratio between Williams and Royce Freeman. Game flow is gonna dictate a lot of that." Our current projections have Williams for 16.7 carries to Freeman's 7.5 -- close to that 2-to-1 split. Williams should handle the majority of the passing-down snaps, though, and remains a strong RB2 play today. Freeman is really only in play in non-PPR fantasy leagues.

Rams HC Sean McVay suggested on Friday that RB Kyren Williams' workload could be scaled back in his return from his ankle injury this weekend. "We definitely want to be mindful of taking some snaps off him," McVay said. Williams played 88% of Los Angeles' offensive snaps between Weeks 2 and 6, averaging 16.4 carries and 4.4 targets per game. Don't expect him to play that big a role vs. the Cardinals on Sunday -- but we are expecting Williams to step back in as the Rams' clear lead back. See where he sits in the Week 12 RB Rankings.

Rams HC Sean McVay confirmed on Monday that RB Kyren Williams (ankle) will return for this weekend's game vs. the Cardinals. He's been sidelined since Week 6. Williams was dominating Rams backfield work before going down, averaging 16.4 carries, 81 rushing yards, 4.4 targets, 2.6 catches, and 21 receiving yards from Week 2 to 6. We can't bank on Williams regaining that type of workload, but we are expecting him to return as Los Angeles' clear lead back. RBs Darrell Henderson and Royce Freeman didn't do nearly enough in Williams' absence to lock in significant roles.

Rams QB Matt Stafford (thumb) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Seahawks. That suggests his right thumb injury shouldn’t be a factor this weekend, although we’d still prefer to see Stafford play a healthy game before considering him as a starter in 1-QB fantasy leagues. Stafford’s return is excellent news for WRs Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua.

Rams QB Matt Stafford (thumb) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. "I feel pretty confident in my ability to go out there and play at a pretty high level," he said afterward. Stafford will start this weekend's game vs. the Seahawks, but we'd still like to see a healthy, productive outing from him before using him in 1-QB fantasy leagues.
