Cole Beasley Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Bills WR Cole Beasley (ribs) put in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He was in the same position last week before playing just 9 snaps in the win over the Jets, presumably because of that rib injury. Beasley can’t be trusted in Week 11 fantasy lineups.

Patriots WR Cole Beasley (ribs) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He figures to play vs. the Colts this weekend but can't be trusted in fantasy lineups after playing just 9 snaps last week.

Bills WR Cole Beasley (ribs) did not practice on Wednesday. He wound up playing just 9 snaps last week, presumably because of this rib injury. Beasley can't be trusted in fantasy lineups until we see him back in a full-time role.

Bills WR Cole Beasley (ribs) is not listed on the final injury report. He didn’t play much in the 4th quarter last week and was sidelined on Wednesday. But he got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and is evidently good to go for this weekend’s plus matchup vs. the Jets.

Bills WR Cole Beasley (ribs) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He should be available for this weekend's game vs. the Jets, but check back tomorrow for another update.

Bills WR Cole Beasley (ribs) did not practice on Wednesday. He suited up with this injury last weekend but barely played in the 4th quarter of the loss to Jacksonville. So he's not a lock to be ready for Sunday's game vs. the Jets. Check back tomorrow for another update.

11:30am EST 11/7/21

Bills WR Cole Beasley (ribs) is active for today’s game vs. the Jaguars. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, but we never sensed concern about his Week 9 status. Beasley is a WR3 with upside in today’s plus matchup.

Bills WR Cole Beasley (ribs) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, but we haven't sensed concern about his Week 9 status. We'll get Buffalo's inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.

Bills TE Dawson Knox had surgery on his broken hand and is expected to miss 3 weeks, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Knox has a Week 7 bye, meaning that he should just miss the next 2 games vs. Miami and Jacksonville and return for Week 10. TE Tommy Sweeney is next up on Buffalo's depth chart but is unlikely to be a fantasy factor. WRs Stefon Diggs, Emmanuel Sanders and Cole Beasley should pick up extra targets with Knox out.

The Bills on Friday activated WRs Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis from the COVID list. That comes less than a week after each player got deactivated, which means neither tested positive at all.

Bills WRs Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis have been placed on the COVID list as close contacts to a staff member who tested positive for the virus. Beasley and Davis, of course, are unvaccinated so must stay away from the team for 5 days. This particular instance won't impact their 2021 campaigns -- but both guys come with elevated risk because they're unvaccinated.

The forecast for today's Patriots-Bills game calls for a chance of rain and 20 mph sustained winds with gusts over 30. That certainly puts a damper on the passing games. New England figured to go run-heavy anyway, so the bigger impact is on Josh Allen and Co. We'd also avoid both kickers in this game.

Bills WR Cole Beasley, WR John Brown, RB Devin Singletary and TE Dawson Knox are all inactive for today’s game against the Jets. Don’t expect to see much of QB Josh Allen or RB Frank Gore. Top CB Tre’Davious White is also inactive for Buffalo.

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms that Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee) is not expected to play against the 49ers on Sunday. He's likely looking at a multi-week absence. We've removed Bryant from the Week 4 Rankings, lowered QB Dak Prescott and given bumps up to Cole Beasley, Terrance Williams and Jason Witten.
