The Saints are re-signing Edge Chase Young to a three-year deal worth $51 million, with incentives that could push it to $57 million, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Young spent last season with the Saints after splitting 2023 between the Commanders and 49ers. He opened his career in Washington, which drafted him second overall in 2020.

Allen spent roughly 2.5 seasons at the helm after seven as Saints defensive coordinator. He finishes with an 18-25 record ... which is at least better than his 8-28 across 2+ years as Raiders HC (2012-14).

Saints CB Paulson Adebo fractured his right femur in Thursday night's loss to the Broncos. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Adebo already had surgery early Friday morning and is looking at a 4-5 month recovery timeline. Adebo is set to hit unrestricted free agency in March.
