Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
ESPN's Adam Schefter calls Bucs WR Chris Godwin (neck) "likely" to play vs. the Panthers today. "But the team needs to make sure he feels OK in pre-game warmups first," Schefter adds. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport had a similar report, saying Godwin "plans to play Sunday vs. Carolina as long as he wakes up feeling good." That's a 4:05 pm ET kickoff, so we won't get the Bucs' inactives until a little after 2:30. If you're hoping to use Godwin today, it'd be wise to have another late-game option rostered just in case Godwin ends up sitting.
Chargers WR Keenan Allen (quad) is expected to play vs. the Patriots today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Allen only got in a limited practice on Friday, but there never seemed to be any concern about his availability for this one. He should stay glued into fantasy lineups.
Texans WR Noah Brown (knee) is expected to play vs. the Broncos today, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. Brown got in limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday but did not practice on Friday, so we're a bit surprised he's playing. This will be the first time since Week 1 that Brown, Tank Dell, Nico Collins, and Robert Woods are all available. Brown actually led the Texans with a 75% route rate in that one, although it's safe to say that won't be the case today. We'd try not to use Brown in Week 13 fantasy lineups with the playing-time uncertainty in his first game off a multi-week knee injury.
Saints WR Chris Olave (concussion) is expected to play vs. the Lions today, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Olave made quick progress through the protocol and should be ready for his usual role today. Detroit's defense has struggled lately, allowing a WR to top 20 PPR points in each of the last three weeks. See where Olave lands in the Week 13 WR Rankings.
Insider Jordan Schultz confirms that WR Tank Dell (calf) is expected to play vs. the Broncos on Sunday. The rookie is listed as questionable, but HC Demeco Ryans said early in the week that Dell would likely be available for this one. We're expecting him to play his usual role, meaning that Dell should be in fantasy lineups.
Jaguars CB Tyson Campbell (hamstring) is questionable for Monday night's game against the Bengals. He remained limited in practice all week. We wouldn't wait on Campbell for IDP lineups. The injury has cost him four of the past five games, and Campbell aggravated the injury in the one he did play.
The Bengals have ruled CB Cam Taylor-Britt out for Monday night's game against the Jaguars. He might have been on track to return from the quad injury that cost him Week 12, but he sprained an ankle in practice this week. We'll see about Taylor-Britt's status heading into Week 14.
Jaguars RB Travis Etienne (ribs) is officially listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Bengals after a limited week of practice. HC Doug Pederson said Saturday that he expects Etienne to play. It wouldn't be a bad idea for Etienne owners to stash RB D'Ernest Johnson as an insurance policy just in case Etienne winds up inactive.
The Texans re-signed K Matt Ammendola, who will kick in Sunday's game vs. the Broncos. He's missed all three of his FG tries over the past two weeks, although two of them have come from 50+ yards. Insider Aaron Wilson reports that K Ka'imi Fairbairn (quad) is expected back for Week 14.
Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon (groin) has been downgraded to out for Sunday night's game vs. the Packers. HC Andy Reid said Friday that he expected McKinnon to play, so it's unclear what changed over the last 24 hours. Regardless, McKinnon's absence should again put RB Isiah Pacheco in a three-down role. He's a strong RB1 play in fantasy lineups.
Bengals WR Tee Higgins (hamstring, ankle) is not listed on the final Week 13 injury report. He put in full practices on Friday and Saturday, so he should be at least close to 100% for Monday night's game vs. the Jaguars. Still, Higgins is no better than a WR3 with QB Jake Browning.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that the Jaguars are "optimistic" RB Travis Etienne will play Monday night against the Bengals. We're betting he'll play through the rib injury that has limited his practice participation this week, given that Etienne returned to last week's win over the Texans after sustaining the injury. But the situation adds some risk that Jacksonville lightens his workload, especially if the Jags pull ahead of a Bengals team now playing without QB Joe Burrow. Although RB D'Ernest Johnson could get more touches if Jacksonville limits Etienne, we're not betting on Johnson being a starting option for any but the deepest of leagues. Watch for updates to our Week 13 RB rankings throughout the weekend.
Commanders RB Antonio Gibson has garnered his three largest touch counts of the season over his past three games. That has meant just 11, 9, and 9 touches, not necessarily a relevant level of usage for most fantasy formats. But receptions are driving those numbers. Gibson has caught five passes in three of his past four games and returned from a toe injury last week to regain the backfield receiving lead from Brian Robinson Jr. Sunday finds Washington entering the game as 9.5-point underdogs to Miami, which points to pass-friendly game conditions. That doesn't make Gibson a strong fantasy option. But it does give him some sneaky upside in a week with six teams on bye. See where Gibson lands in our Week 13 RB rankings.
The Buccaneers have ruled out LB Lavonte David (groin) and LB Devin White (foot) for Sunday's game against the Panthers. No. 3 LB SirVocea Dennis is also doubtful with an illness. That leaves K.J. Britt and J.J. Russell as the only non-edge LBs on the depth chart. Britt has 33 total tackles through three pro seasons. Russell has 7 since entering the league in 2022. Neither looks like a guy worth attention in your IDP league. The dearth of LBs could help Carolina's passing game over the middle. We wouldn't give the Panthers' run game a significant upgrade, though. Tampa Bay also ruled CB Jamel Dean out.
Dolphins S Jevon Holland is questionable for Sunday's game against the Commanders, listed with issues in both knees. That certainly doesn't seem to bode well, and Holland missed the week's first two practices before putting in a limited Friday. We'll check his status Sunday, but you should plan for another option in your IDP lineup.
Steelers S Minkah Fitzpatrick is off the final injury report for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. That follows a week of full practices and indicates Fitzpatrick is all the way back from the hamstring injury that cost him the past four games. There's some risk in trusting Fitzpatrick in his first game back, but the team's treatment suggests they do. You'll find Fitzpatrick just outside DB2 territory in our Week 13 rankings.
Cardinals S Jalen Thompson (ribs) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers. He sat out Wednesday's practice but returned for limited workouts Thursday and Friday. We'll check his status ahead of Sunday's kickoff.
Saints Edge Cameron Jordan (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions. Jordan missed practice all week. HC Dennis Allen said Friday that the team will give Jordan "a chance to play until [the] last moment," according to Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football. You should plan as though Jordan won't be available for your IDP lineup.
The Saints have ruled LB Pete Werner (shoulder, oblique) and S Marcus Maye (shoulder) out for Sunday's game against the Lions. We wouldn't target a replacement for either in IDP lineups, though Werner's absence can only help the tackle upside for LB Demario Davis.
Lions LB Alex Anzalone is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Saints with a hand injury that kept him out of practice all week. He hurt the hand late in the Thanksgiving loss to the Packers. DC Aaron Glenn said Friday that LB Jack Campbell will take over the MLB role and call plays in the defensive huddle. That gives Campbell significant fantasy upside, especially in a game that could find RB Alvin Kamara leading New Orleans in receiving. We've boosted Campbell into LB2 territory of our Week 13 IDP rankings.
