Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (quad, illness) is a "true game-time decision" for Monday afternoon's meeting with the Chiefs, according to CBS' Tracy Wolfson. Jacobs wound up getting in only a limited practice on Friday this week. We'll look for further updates on his status and get Vegas' inactives around 11:30 am ET tomorrow. Zamir White will get another game as lead back if Jacobs is out.

Bears TE Cole Kmet battled through a knee injury for much of Sunday's win over the Cardinals. He played just one snap across Chicago's final two possessions, according to insider Brad Biggs. Kmet still came away from this one with a career-high 107 receiving yards, but we'll need to keep a close eye on his status throughout the coming week.

Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle was knocked out of Sunday's win over the Cowboys by a third-quarter shin injury. He also missed some time earlier in the game after getting poked in the eye. We should learn more about the shin injury on Monday.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence injured his right shoulder in the third quarter of Sunday's loss to the Bucs and did not return. "When I landed, I knew something, something was off," Lawrence said afterward. HC Doug Pederson said that Lawrence will have the shoulder evaluated on Monday. We should learn more then. QB C.J. Beathard went 11 of 15 for 94 yards and a score in relief of Lawrence today and will start vs. the Panthers next week if Lawrence is out.

Dolphins S Jevon Holland (knees) is inactive for today's game against the Cowboys. Expect Brandon Jones to start in his place. Jones is a solid fill-in if you had been hoping to get Holland back. CB Xavien Howard (hip) is active after hitting the day questionable.

Jaguars S Andre Cisco (groin) and CB Tyson Campbell (quad) are active for today's game against the Buccaneers. Each remained limited in practice all week and carries some risk, but use them as planned if you've waited for either player.

Buccaneers S Antoine Winfield Jr. (calf) is active for today's game against the Jaguars. Use him as planned in your IDP lineups.

Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson injured his right knee in the third quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Lions and was ruled out just a short time later. We'll look for further updates on the severity of the injury and Hockenson's timetable for return.

Cardinals WR Greg Dortch (shoulder) is active for today’s game vs. the Bears. He only got in a limited practice on Friday and would be very tough to trust in fantasy lineups.

Bears RB D’Onta Foreman (personal) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Cardinals. That leaves Chicago’s backfield to Roschon Johnson and Khalil Herbert. We don’t know exactly how work will be divvied between them, but they both have enough upside against Arizona’s 31st-ranked RB defense to consider as RB3 or flex plays. See where Johnson and Herbert sit in the Week 16 RB Rankings.

Bears TE Cole Kmet (quad) is active for today’s game vs. the Cardinals. He was added to the injury report on Thursday and then limited again on Friday, adding some risk to his Week 16 fantasy outlook. But Kmet still sits inside the top 10 in the Week 16 TE Rankings.

Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Cowboys. He was listed as questionable after getting in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Hill won’t be at 100% today and sits a tad lower in the Week 16 WR Rankings than usual. But he’d be impossible to keep out of fantasy lineups.

Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Panthers with a chest injury. He caught both of his targets for 29 yards and a TD before exiting. Green Bay is already without WRs Christian Watson and Jayden Reed today, leaving Romeo Doubs, Bo Melton, and Malik Heath as the top three.

Jaguars WR Zay Jones (knee, hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Bucs. His absence leaves Parker Washington and Jamal Agnew as Jacksonville's likely secondary WRs. WR Calvin Ridley and TE Evan Engram should dominate targets today.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (ankle, concussion) is active for today’s game vs. the Bucs. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, but that’s not a major concern for a guy with nearly two years of experience in HC Doug Pederson’s offense. Lawrence is a viable QB1 play today against Tampa Bay’s 26th-ranked QB defense.

Vikings WR Jordan Addison hurt his ankle in the second quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Lions. He's officially questionable to return. We'll update the rookie's status when we know more.

Update: Addison has been ruled out.

Browns K Dustin Hopkins is officially questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Texans with a left hamstring injury. Cleveland just went for two points after their latest TD, so it doesn't look like Hopkins is available the rest of the way.

The Buccaneers expect S Antoine Winfield Jr. to play today against the Jaguars, according to Pewter Report. Winfield popped up on the injury report as questionable after missing Friday's practice with a calf issue. We'll confirm his status when the late-game inactive come out around 3 p.m. But it sounds like you should have Winfield available for your IDP lineups. He's a high-level play in an upside matchup.

Seahawks CB Devon Witherspoon is inactive for today's game against the Titans. It'll be his second straight game missed for a hip injury. Seattle has listed him as questionable each time despite Witherspoon missing every practice each week. Perhaps that suggests he has a good shot at being ready for Week 17, but we'll have to track the rookie's progress.

Vikings LB Jordan Hicks (shin) is active for today's game against the Lions. Minnesota activated him from IR Saturday, and it appears Hicks is ready to reclaim his role. There's some risk to playing him right away following a four-game absence, but we're willing to take that shot in LB2 range of the Week 16 LB rankings. Rookie LB Ivan Pace Jr. (shoulder) is active as well after turning up questionable with a late-week shoulder injury. He filled in well for Hicks but now carries a playing-time question with Hicks back. Pace sits in LB3 territory of our rankings. DT Harrison Phillips (back) is also active but sits lower in our DL rankings than usual. There is tackle upside against a Detroit offense that likes to run.
