Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Saints TE Taysom Hill (chest) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Eagles. He’s totaled eight carries vs. just three targets this season, so his absence gives the biggest boost to RB Alvin Kamara.

Colts WR Michael Pittman (back, calf) is active for today’s game vs. the Bears. He was added to the injury report and did not practice on Friday, although HC Shane Steichen never expressed much concern about his availability for this one. Pittman remains in WR3 territory in the Week 3 Rankings.

Chargers WR Josh Palmer (calf, elbow) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Steelers. His absence likely means more snaps for WRs Derius Davis and Simi Fehoko, but neither is a fantasy option. WRs Quentin Johnston and Ladd McConkey could pick up extra targets with Palmer out.

Chargers QB Justin Herbert (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Steelers. He was reportedly a game-time decision and won’t be close to 100% for this one after suffering a high-ankle sprain last week. The Chargers have QBs Easton Stick and Taylor Heinicke active as insurance. Herbert is a high-risk Week 3 fantasy play without much upside in this tough matchup.

Packers QB Jordan Love (knee) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Titans. We’re tentatively expecting him back for next weekend’s divisional game vs. the Vikings but will continue to keep a close eye on his progress. QB Malik Willis gets another start today. The Packers threw just 14 passes vs. 53 runs with Willis at the helm last week. Expect another run-heavy attack today (although probably not that extreme).

The Vikings plan on WR Justin Jefferson (quad) being a "full-go" vs. the Texans today, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Jefferson was left off the final injury report after putting in a full practice on Friday, so this latest report is just confirmation that the quad contusion won't be an issue today. Jefferson, of course, is a must-start.

Giants Edge Brian Burns is questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns with a groin injury. But NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that he "should be good to go." Burns remains a low-level option for IDP lineups amid a slow start to his first Giants season.

The 49ers left S Talanoa Hufanga off the final Week 3 injury report for the first time this season. That should mean the first action for Hufanga since he suffered an ACL tear in Week 11 last season. I wouldn't bet on the safety getting a full workload, and there's likely more risk than reward to playing Hufanga in IDP lineups. But we'll see how quickly he can ramp back up to full duty. Expect Hufanga to reclaim the position that George Odum and Malik Mustapha have covered the first two weeks.

Niners Edge Nick Bosa is officially questionable for today's game against the Rams. But ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that he's expected to play. Bosa popped up on the Thursday injury report with a rib issue that limited him Thursday and Friday. Plan to have him available for your IDP lineups, though. We'll confirm his status when inactives are announced.

QB Bryce Young is likely to start for the Panthers again this season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. QB Andy Dalton is taking over for Week 3 against the Raiders, but Rapoport hears Young's benching is viewed as more of a break than a season-long decision.

Cardinals WR Greg Dortch (hamstring) is expected to play vs. the Lions today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Dortch is listed questionable after being added to the injury report and limited in practice on Friday. That adds obvious risk to his Week 3 profile, although Dortch is in a nice spot today in a likely shootout against a Lions defense that's struggled defending slot receivers so far this season.

Colts WR Michael Pittman (back, calf) is expected to play vs. the Bears today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Pittman was added to the injury report and did not practice on Friday. It adds risk to a guy who already projected as just a WR3 in this low-volume Colts passing game.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Titans RB Tyjae Spears (ankle) is expected to play today. He's listed as questionable but was a full-go in Friday's practice. We're not expecting the ankle to be a major factor today, but Spears remains a fringy fantasy play.

There's "optimism" Chargers QB Justin Herbert (ankle) will be able to play vs. the Steelers today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Herbert only got in a limited practice on Thursday this week as he battles what he said is a high-ankle sprain. ESPN's Adam Schefter hears that Herbert is "preparing to play" today but that a final decision won't come until pregame warmups. Schefter adds that the Chargers will likely have Herbert and QBs Easton Stick and Taylor Heinicke active. We'll get Los Angeles' inactives around 11:30 am ET, but Herbert is not a recommended starter in any fantasy leagues this week.

ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hear that Packers QB Jordan Love (knee) is not expected to play vs. the Titans today. Love got in three limited practices this week, and Rapoport confirms that he has a good chance to return in Week 4. We've been projecting Willis to start against Tennessee all week, so there are no changes to our Week 3 Rankings. Expect another run-heavy game plan from Green Bay.

Jaguars RB Tank Bigsby (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Bills after a limited week of practice. HC Doug Pederson said multiple times this week that he expected Bigsby to be ready for this one, but he's evidently not a lock. Bigsby shouldn't be in Week 3 fantasy lineups.

Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday night's game vs. the Bills. He didn't practice all week. Brenton Strange will get another game as Jacksonville's lead TE after posting a 3-65-0 line on six targets last week.

Bengals WR Tee Higgins (hamstring) is not listed on the final Week 3 injury report. After limited practices on Thursday and Friday, he was a full participant on Saturday. It all suggests that he's ready for a full workload in Monday night's plus matchup against the Commanders. Higgins lands inside the top-25 WR in our Week 3 Rankings.

Texans RB Joe Mixon (ankle) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game vs. the Vikings. He didn't practice all week and isn't a lock to be back for Week 4. With RB Dameon Pierce (hamstring) also out, Houston elevated RB J.J. Taylor from the practice squad. RB Cam Akers figures to operate as the lead back against Minnesota, but we're projecting RB Dare Ogunbowale to play plenty on passing downs. See where Akers lands in the Week 3 RB Rankings.

Saints TE Taysom Hill (chest) has been downgraded to doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. He should be out of all Week 3 fantasy lineups. Hill has played 57% of his snaps in the backfield this season, totaling eight carries and three targets. His absence is a bigger boost to New Orleans' RBs than pass-catchers.
