Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Buccaneers S Antoine Winfield Jr. (foot) is active for today's game against the Jets, marking his return from 2 games down with a foot injury. CBs Jamel Dean and Sean Murphy-Bunting are also active, after arriving questionable.
Bucs WR Mike Evans (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Jets. He got in just a limited practice on Friday after spending Monday through Thursday on the COVID list. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported this morning that Evans will play “in a limited capacity.” Check the Week 17 WR Rankings to see if Evans makes sense for your starting lineup.
Bucs WR Mike Evans is expected to play "in a limited capacity" vs. the Jets today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Evans hurt his hamstring in Week 15, missed Week 16 and then landed on the COVID list on Monday. Evans came off the COVID list on Friday and got in a limited practice that day. He's obviously a risky fantasy play today, although he's capable of doing some damage on just a handful of targets -- especially vs. the Jets.
Buccaneers S Antoine Winfield (foot) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets. Tampa Bay has ruled out EDGE Jason Pierre-Paul (shoulder). That leaves the Bucs without both edge starters, as Shaq Barrett is already out for at least the rest of the regular season.
The Bears have activated DE Akiem Hicks from the COVID list. He spent 8 days on the list and will carry risk for IDP rosters in Week 17.
Bucs WR Mike Evans (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Jets. He was activated off the COVID list and put in a limited practice on Friday. Between the COVID, hamstring and an easily winnable game against the Jets, we’d be a little surprised if Evans played on Sunday. But we’ll find out for sure around 11:30 am ET.
The Buccaneers on Friday activated WR Mike Evans from the COVID list. That makes him eligible to play Sunday against the Jets, but we still need to see about the hamstring injury that cost him last week's game.
The Buccaneers on Monday placed WR Mike Evans on the COVID list. He missed Sunday's win over the Panthers with a hamstring injury that has yet to allow him to return to practice. So it's not clear whether Evans would be available for Week 17 even if he clears the league COVID protocols. We'll see where this week goes, but don't plan to have Evans available for your fantasy football lineups.
Buccaneers CB Jamel Dean (illness) is active for today's game against the Panthers. As expected, EDGE Jason Pierre-Paul (shoulder) is out. He hit the weekend doubtful.
Rams DL Greg Gaines (ankle) is active for today's game against the Vikings.
Browns QBs Baker Mayfield and Case Keenum have been activated from the COVID list. Mayfield should start Saturday's game vs. the Packers -- but will do so without having practiced all week. He's just a low-end QB2 in what figures to be a run-heavy attack from the Browns.
Rams DL Greg Gaines is questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings with an ankle injury. He put in limited practices Wednesday and Friday, with a missed practice in between. We'll see about Gaines' status Sunday morning.
Browns K Chase McLaughlin has been placed on the COVID list and will miss Saturday's game vs. the Packers. He'll be replaced by K Chris Naggar, who has yet to attempt a regular-season kick. Look elsewhere for Week 16 fantasy lineups.
The Buccaneers have ruled S Antoine Winfield Jr. out for Sunday's game against Carolina with his foot injury. It'll be Winfield's 2nd straight missed game. Mike Edwards -- back from his vaccination-card suspension with Antonio Brown -- figures to start in Winfield's spot next to Jordan Whitehead.
Bucs WR Mike Evans (hamstring) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Panthers. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Evans is considered "week to week" with his strained hamstring, so his availability for next Sunday's game vs. the Jets is up in the air.
The Buccaneers on Thursday placed LB Lavonte David on IR with his foot injury. That means he'll miss the rest of the regular season and can be dropped in IDP leagues (if you didn't do so already). Kevin Minter is in line for full-time snaps next to Devin White.
Bucs WR Mike Evans (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. He's considered "week to week," so fantasy owners shouldn't be expecting him to play vs. the Panthers this weekend.
The Buccaneers expect LB Lavonte David to miss the rest of the regular season after suffering a foot sprain in Sunday night's loss to the Saints, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. The team is reportedly "hopeful" that David can make it back during the playoffs. Kevin Minter will step up to a full-time role in the meantime.
Bucs WR Mike Evans is considered "week to week" with a strained hamstring, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Schefter adds that Evans "has a chance" to play vs. the Panthers on Sunday. That doesn't really jibe with the "week to week" label. We'll obviously keep a close eye on Evans' status throughout this week. For now, fantasy owners should plan on being without him in Week 16.
The MRI on Bucs WR Chris Godwin's right knee revealed a torn ACL, according to multiple reports. The initial belief was that Godwin had just a sprained MCL and would be back for the playoffs. Now he's out for the rest of the regular season and the postseason. It's especially bad timing for Godwin, who played this season on the franchise tag and is set to hit free agency in March. We'll see where he ends up signing and how his rehab progresses. He's not a lock to be ready for Week 1.
