New England Patriots Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Commanders RB Antonio Gibson (foot) is expected to play vs. the Giants today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Gibson got in just limited practices on Wednesday and Friday this week, so it's safe to assume that he won't be at 100%.

Commanders RB Antonio Gibson (foot) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Giants. He was limited in Wednesday’s practice, sidelined on Thursday and limited again on Friday. We’ll get Washington’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday, but it’s safe to assume that Gibson will be at less than 100% if he plays vs. New York.

Commanders RB Antonio Gibson (foot) sat out practice on Thursday. Gibson was limited on Wednesday, so this is a step back for the 3rd-year man. We'll see if he's able to suit up on Friday.

Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson carried just 7 times (for 36 yards) as his team went pass-heavy in Thursday night's loss to the Vikings. He made up for it on the receiving side, though, catching 9 balls for 76 yards among a team-high 10 targets. New England dropped back 42 times in the game vs. just 13 running plays. We'd bet on that swinging back in the other direction at least some in a Week 13 home date with the Bills. We'll see about the status of RB Damien Harris for that one, after he left the Vikings loss with a thigh injury.

Pats RB Rhamondre Stevenson was upstaged by Damien Harris in a Week 11 win over the Jets. Harris rushed 8 times for 65 yards, topping Stevenson’s 26 yards on 15 attempts. Sunday marked Harris’ first action since Week 8 (illness). But he certainly looked healthy in this one, earning PFF’s 4th highest rushing grade. Stevenson, meanwhile, ranked 2nd to last, hurt by 0 missed tackles forced on the ground and 1.7 YPC. Stevenson still came through in fantasy with 6 grabs for 56 yards, including 1 impressive display of power. It’s worth noting that the Jets represented a tough matchup for RBs. Thursday turns up a Vikings squad that was just smoked by Dallas RBs. On the year, Minnesota ranks mid-pack in adjusted fantasy points allowed to RBs.

Commanders RB Antonio Gibson played twice as many snaps as Brian Robinson Jr. (46-23) in Sunday's win over the Texans. He carried 18 times for 72 yards (4.0 per rush) and caught all 3 of his targets for 31 more. Robinson carried 15 times for 57 yards (3.8) and didn't see a target. The team's only rushing TD went to WR Curtis Samuel, who carried twice for 18 yards for the game. Week 12 holds another high-upside matchup with the Falcons.

Bills WR Stefon Diggs snagged the team's only TD reception in Sunday's win over the Browns, a game that found QB Josh Allen throwing for a season-low 197 yards. Diggs totaled just 4-48 receiving on 5 targets. WR Gabriel Davis and TE Dawson Knox tied for the team lead with 7 targets apiece. Knox caught all 7 for 70 yards. Davis caught 5 for 68 yards. RB Devin Singletary was the only other Bill to catch a pass (2-11).

With RB J.D. McKissic out, RBs Antonio Gibson and Brian Robinson Jr. split opportunities almost evenly. Gibson played 8 more snaps, but Robinson beat him by 2 carries and trailed by just 1 target. Robinson posted a 13-44 rushing line and caught both targets (for minus-6 yards). Gibson ran for 36 yards on his 11 carries and caught 2 of 3 targets for 11 yards. A Week 10 matchup with the Eagles doesn't look great for either player. Bet on the Commanders falling behind, though, which would favor Gibson's superior receiving.

Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson got no meaningful boost from Damien Harris being out (illness) in Sunday's win over the Colts. Stevenson rushed 15 times for 60 yards and added 3 catches for 10 among a team-high 7 targets. He did claim the team's only TD reception. RB J.J. Taylor ran 2nd in the backfield, gaining just 9 yards on 10 carries and catching his lone target for 8 yards.

Buccaneers CB Carlton Davis (hip) and DL Akiem Hicks (foot) are active for today's game against the Rams.

Bills WR Stefon Diggs posted numbers Sunday night that belied his team's overall passing struggles in the win over Green Bay. He led Buffalo in targets (8), receptions (6) and yards (108), accounting for 46.2% of QB Josh Allen's completions and 49.5% of his yardage. Diggs also snagged 1 of Allen's 2 TD tosses. TE Dawson Knox grabbed the other, for 1 yard out, among 2 catches for 10 yards on 3 targets. WR Gabriel Davis managed only 2 receptions for 35 yards among 7 targets. No other Bill drew more than 2 looks.

Commanders RB Antonio Gibson led the team with 7 catches in Sunday's win over the Colts. He snared all of his 7 targets (2nd on the team) for 58 yards and the team's lone receiving TD. Gibson tied J.D. McKissic for the playing-time lead in Washington's backfield. Brian Robinson Jr. still led in carries, but took his 8 rushes for just 20 yards. Gibson ran 7 times for 19 yards; McKissic 2 for 6 yards. Washington gets a soft Minnesota defense in Week 9.

Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson continued to work well ahead of Damien Harris in Sunday's win over the Jets. He carried 16 times for 71 yards (4.4 per rush) and caught 7 balls for 72 yards among 8 targets. Stevenson led the team in receiving yards and trailed only WR Jakobi Meyers in targets (12) and receptions (9). Harris ran for just 37 yards on 11 carries (3.4) and caught both of his targets for 15 yards. New England gets the Colts in Week 9, with the bye following.

Patriots S Adrian Phillips (shoulder) and CB Jonathan Jones (ankle) are active for today's game against the Jets.

The Patriots on Saturday downgraded S Kyle Dugger (ankle) to out for Sunday's game against the Jets.

Patriots S Kyle Dugger (ankle), S Adrian Phillips (shoulder) and CB Jonathan Jones (ankle) are questionable vs. the Jets. Dugger looks like the poorest bet among them after managing just a single limited practice Friday. The other 2 put in limited work every day this week. New England ruled DT Christian Barmore (knee) out for the game.

Chargers CB J.C. Jackson ruptured the patellar tendon in his right knee in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks and will miss the rest of the season. We'll see about his status as the 2023 season approaches. Jackson had been performing disappointingly early in the year, so his departure from the lineup doesn't meaningfully alter the fantasy football matchup going forward.

Patriots DT Christian Barmore (knee) is inactive for tonight's game against the Bears. DE Lawrence Guy (shoulder), CB Jonathan Jones (ankle) and DB Jalen Mills (illness) are active.

Patriots WR Kendrick Bourne (toe) is inactive for tonight's game with the Bears. This doesn't have much fantasy impact but does, at least, leave a few WR snaps on the field for others.

Buccaneers CB Carlton Davis (hip) is inactive for today's game against the Panthers. S Mike Edwards (elbow) is active after missing last week.
